The Faerie's Honeymoon

Rate this book
Duvall of Talfryn adores his new human bride. She’s smart, she’s sexy, and they love each other - flaws and all. The half-magic city of Resurrection seems ideal for a honeymoon. It’s less dangerous than Faerie, and Belle can get her first real glimpse of his fae nature.

Problem is, Belle gets a glimpse of more than he counted on. Will this down-to-earth junkshop owner decide an entitled prince of enchantments isn’t who she signed on to wed? Can Duvall overcome his pride and bare his true heart to her?

Only a honeymoon fit for a faerie can settle this conundrum.

A companion story to MOVE ME.

I'm a USA Today bestselling author who LOVES the hot stuff, both to read and to write. My favorite obsessions are all things coffee, almost everything on HGTV, and dreaming up new stories.

This is a book of 2 short stories bundled into a 100-page volume. Emma Holly is a very rare erotica writer in that she can actually WRITE. Her stories are interesting and not entirely an excuse to get the characters naked and sweaty. She's also very good at inventing interesting paranormal details. I think her books are the perfect gateway to cross over from romance to erotica.

The first story is about a fairy prince and his human bride visiting a pocket fairy land together for the first time on their honeymoon. There's an attempt on the wife's life while there. Also, he shows her his wings for the first time, which is a deeply personal thing in fairy culture. Very interesting details about the other supernatural creatures that live in the pocket realm. Also, interesting details about fairy magic.

The second story wasn't as good. It's about a woman in Atlantis married to 3 men who take her on a date to a secret grotto they've fixed up.

This is the sequel to "Move Me,"and it's really such a sweet and warm book, if it wasn't for the extremely hot sex, I'd wonder if Emma Holly had really written it.

Belle and Duvall are on their honeymoon in Resurrection, a semi-magical place where Duvall can recharge his magical batteries. Belle is a little overwhelmed by everything she's learning about Duvall and his place in the faerie world, and he's worried that she'll be so unhappy that she won't accept his magic.

One of the best passages ever: "Duvall swallowed. 'What if you don't think my soul is beautiful?' Her eyes filled with tears when his did. 'Everyone wonders that,' she said..'whether they have wings to embody their soul or not.'" Wow...

So.. 4 stars just because of that...

The Faerie's Honeymoon (Hidden series) by Emma Holly
This is a follow up to Move Me. Belle and Duvall go to Resurrection for their honeymoon. Belle is unprepared for the realities of Magic and Magic beings. Duvall is unprepared for his reaction to being back in a magic infused environment. I love the interactions between these two. It is fascinating when the comfort zone shifts.
As you may have guessed from previous posts I absolutely love Emma Holly. This series and this story does not disappoint. It has great characters and fantastically HOT sex. I can’t wait for more.

My Rating: ★★★

My Thoughts:
I missed that this was a companion story to Move Me until after I purchased it. Although I have not read 'Move Me', this story was not difficult to follow. Unfortunately, I wasn't to interested in it enough to backtrack to read the first part of Belle and Duvall's story.

I would suggest that others read 'Move Me' first to understand the characters and their origins a bit better.

I actually won this book in a contest, though it also had Date night as the other part of the book. I have never read anything by this author, and was really surprised about how good of a book it was. I do believe I need to maybe read maybe the series in order to kind of understand what is really going on. But because it was a really great read that I finished within 2 days I found it to be a wonderful book.

This story confirms my belief that Duvall is an utter sweetheart as well as being devastatingly sexy. And I loved Belle's adaptability to all the shocks that Resurrection offers her. Their love is strong and true, and I finished reading with a warm feeling - also because of all the hot lovemaking!

Loved the update. I wanted more. I wanted to experience her first meeting of his parents. I hope there is more of these two even as a minor part of other stories. If longer would have given more stars. I thank the author for this small but compelling story.

This one is really good too - we get a view of Resurrection from a mundane’s eyes, and it’s really fun.

A novella follow-up from Move Me about what happened during Belle's and Duvall's honeymoon in the town of Resurrection. Short, sweet and smexy with a little intrigue thrown in for the fun of it.

Duvall is awesomely powerful when his powers are shown to their fullest in Resurrection, a supernatural safe place. Belle's honeymoon with her faerie hotty takes on a whole new life.

I like the touristy bits and the interactions with Darius. Two much time spent on sex scenes, as one might expect in a story with honeymoon in the title!
