This was another grade two Chinese breeze book. I actually really enjoyed this one. It had the same characters as Who do you like more, but it's amazing the difference another 200 words of vocabulary make as this time there was actually much more of a story. I think this was the first time someone did something and talked, carried the dinner over to the table while she asked her husband a question. It was little things like this that made the story seem much more real. A couple times I did have the thoughts, wow I'm reading a story in Chinese and it all makes sense! Either the readers are getting easier or the practice is paying off and I'm seeing an improvement in my reading skills. (probably the second)
The story here is about a guy selling a computer software programme (possibly operating system) and he sells less and less because people are pirating his software. Rather than lowering his price he decides to find the pirates and find the pirates and turn them over to the police. It all gets quite dramatic towards the end. But there is also a captalism is wrong message as the guy who joined the pirates did so because he had no money and a large poor family, with a sick father and huge medical bills and he needed more money to help out.
The more I read these books the more I enjoy them and am enjoying studying Chinese again. I'm so happy I found this series.
