Was very different from everything I have read from Remington. Early chapters, shockingly so! It is an interesting plot and eventually drew me in to the need to see what was next. Overall, enjoyable, but it is not what I expect or fulfill my reason for reading the Tanner or Taken series. Sure hope the new Johnny Revenge series is more of the Remington I enjoy.
I'm a major Remington Kane fan. Having read everything else he's written, I thought I'd check out this little series. While I'm not a big fan of romance novels, I stuck with it through the early pages, and, as with all his Books, I found the characters relatable, and was drawn into the story. I think most readers will enjoy what is basically a Young Adult book, I did, and I'm a very Old Adult 😁
This book was very difficult to read. The beginning of the book i had to skip pages because i felt like i was reading a history book on the town. Then the author brought on a very disturbing topic and it was hard to read about. Then tradedy strikes which caused me to shed a tear. There were alot of twists and turns. But what i liked about the book was no matter how many bad things happen to this family they always pulled through. I don't think im gonna read the other books though.
UGH! Terrible and didn't finish! I'm pretty sure all of the 4-star reviews are either this author's best friend or he paid them. The writing was poor - at one point they were talking about a business and in parentheses it said (that his mom owned.) Parentheses are maybe good for an email or a review but out of place in a novel! My brain hurts - must go wash it out.
WOW - From start to finish, this book was packed. Half way through I wondered how the author could possibly provide another 1/2 book of storyline - well he did. The lovey dovey niceties seems a little overpowering in parts, but it is fiction and we all wish for that ;-). Really enjoyed it and will have to read the next ones.
This book was amazing! I couldn't put it down! Honestly it was a surprise after surprise. I thought this book was going to be the same old love story but it was that and so much more! I finished this book in 2 days and i just bought the set of all the other series, Honestly don't give up on the book keep reading it, you will love it!
To say I was shocked while reading , I def was, so many twists and turns, some stuff heart wrenching and I cried not sure what to rate it. Not sure whether I will read the following books to the series, I guess since it felt like it ended and I did not need anymore closure on it. Has some hard subject matter be warned
I really liked this book because it was always keeping me on my toes. I like when I am not sure what to expect. There are some parts of this story that were sickening to me but that is what comes along with the book. I came across this book as a review on a chat board and thought I would try it out. Nothing worth 5 stars but I didn't think it was as bad as some other reviews make it seem.
And that is all...I think that I found this book difficult to read and just not for me. I just read Taken by Donald Wells and I loved that one. I did not like the characters and honestly through most of the book I felt like I was reading a novel written for teens. (Don't get me wrong I love those types of books) This one did not cut it for me.
I liked this book, however, I felt there was too much in one book. I kept wondering when the book would end. Maybe if it was broken down in more than one book it would have enjoyed it a lot more,
This book was fantastic wanted to give it 3 stars but if was worthy of 4 stars, a bit slow in the beggining but it was definable worth reading until the end.
