Well presented, clear instructions. Ordinary wholesome ingredients. History & stories about the recipes. Every autumn this book and it's brother - broth brothers, comes off the shelf and into the kitchen. A delight to flip through for dinner ideas.

Great variety
Enjoyed the different combinations as well as the great garnishes.. already planning today’s soup, tomorrow’s soup and so on, and so on

This book has many simple and excellent recipes. The only criticism I have is there are frequently recipes that are nearly identical to others in the book.

was mostly looking for making stock recipes; now have the Classic Comforting Stock on the stove; here's hoping it is as successful as they say. I have written out the Hearty vegetable, Minestrone, Pasta Bean, Chicken soup, Potato sou. and Chunky Chickpea soup recipes to try

For those that love soups, this book is a must! There are 100 easy to make recipes that look so delicious. There are soups for different seasons and labels that let you know whether the soup is Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, etc. Can't wait to try several of these recipes!

I like how the book is laid out - lots of information and help at the front followed by tons of recipes sorted seasonally.
