Make certain you are reading them in the correct order

The first and third books had their cover switched. For 99 I bought all three. To the plot. I am a fan of traveller and concordant setting. The pacifist race seems unrealistic. I still like . The earlier books best.

Ignore the cover-- it says NOTHING about this book. The final in the Tales of the Concordat Series, it is about the past-- the End Days of the Empire, and the Present, the Praesidium of the Concordat and the attempt by one man to change the course of history. . .with an Opera.

Opera fans, this one's for you. Can Art truly inspire? That's the question posed by this book. Swycaffer holds no punches in dealing with the society he created. This is a well-crafted work that deserves to be heard. Revel, immerse yourself, and come away changed.

A satisfying capstone to the series, though not a particularly exciting one, as both the plots seem pretty preordained. (The modern day plot is nonetheless more interesting than the historic one.)
