It happened almost by accident but by the end of the show I knew that storytelling was my next step in life.
The joy of that moment, the delight in sharing these treasures, the pleasure of deepening my own experience of the tales each time I tell them, has never left me since then and I’m sure it never will.
Since leaving the UK in 2001 I have been based in Spain, performing all over the country, as well as in Portugal, Switzerland, Tunisia, Greece, Turkey, Colombia and India.
When I am not telling, I enjoy writing for both adults and children and have been lucky enough to publish several books.»

Contos da tradição oral recontados por Tim Bowley. Temos aqui versões de contos que todos conseguimos reconhecer, pois crescemos a ouvi-los (tipos "a bela e o monstro", "a gata borralheira", "os dois irmãos", etc.).
O conto mais "atípico" será o último, que suponho ter sido recolhido na tradição nativa americana, enquanto que os outros são recolhidos na tradição europeia.
Enfim, um livro mesmo ao meu gosto.
