What a hot little read and I'm not just talking about the fires!!!

Liberty was wonderful... she didn't frustrate me because she was trying to run from the man pursuing her, she wanted him just as much but because he was a client she couldn't go there but boy did she want to. She was sweet, smart, and absolutely adorable because she had no idea she was these things.

Shane... mmm, yes he was quite wonderful himself in that uber gorgeous, man in a uniform, with a body to die for kind of way... not to mention he was sweet on top of it. Shane was dealing with sleep issues after he lost his best friend in a fire they were trying to rescue someone from. He's hesitant to let Liberty help him because he is attracted to her.. like heart stopping, love at first sight (even though he won't admit it) kind of way but he relents and so their professional relationship begins.

now i am hooked. This was such a great, easy and creative book. i was hooked after the first page.

The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.

i would highly recommend this author and this book.

Interesting book. Lots of guy humor and lots of innuendo. Shane is a typical male and Liberty has her own issues, but the book is good and the ending is wonderful.

On par with her style, Mia puts plot and intrigue mixed in with some hot, sweet romance. (Plus... Who doesn't get all tingly for a man in uniform? ;D)

Ok, in all honesty. From reading the blurb I was only so so interested in this and hey it was a free read so why not.

I could hardly put it down it was a great story. The romance was sweet, the sex was hot. The plot was really captivating.

The one problem I had with this book was the formatting could use some more editing. There were several scenes where it changed perspectives with out warning. No lines, no extra line breaks nothing, from one paragraph to the next and I had to stop and re-read to figure out what was going on. A few of these happened at time interval breaks too.

Overall it was great and I look forward to finding more from this author.

Primrose, MN series, book 1
Shane and Liberty's story.

Shane is a Primrose Fire Department Chief suffering from nightmares and anxiety stemming from losing his best friend & fellow firefighter 6 months ago.
Liberty is a psychiatrist that moved from Minneapolis to be closer to her best friend after her friend is the victim of a home evasion & attempted sexual attack.

Several businesses in Primrose are going up in flames and the only thing they seem to have in common is Liberty.

First thing I noticed is that it's a bit on the short side, but the plot is solid, the characters are well-developed & the ending is resolved nicely. It also gives a tease of what the next book will bring.

This is the first book that I have read by this author & she was recommended to me by a fellow heavy reader. I was not disappointed & look forward to reading more from Ms. Dymond.

This read like it was not the first in a series, characters that you felt that you were supposed to know, events that took place outside the story line referred to, etc. And yet, it's the first in the series. Even some very basic timeline events were really messed up. The bad guy moved to the city before the main character who he was following. A complete scene happens out of order (the bad guy plants something he's stolen, then he steals it a chapter later). Yeah, the story line is that messed up. The characters were interesting, the sex was hot, but the timeline was so distracting. I won't be reading more in this series, but I hope that the editing gets cleaned up. This is the kind of really poor continuity that gives self-published books a bad reputation.

Characters didn't really grab me in this one somehow. The events were pretty dramatic, but it seemed to be resolved rather easily.

The story was predictable and a bit too fast-paced for me, but the characters were interesting and the chemistry hot! I enjoyed it as a quick read.
