Asia Brooks survived a tormented life of holy horror. After escaping the jaws of hell, she decided not to go down without a fight and changed her total outlook on self-preservation. After Tianna Holland discovered her singing abilities, she was giving a chance at stardom. Before she could totally embrace her newfound happiness, she had a “love lesson” of heartache and pain, teaching her that heartbreak was worse than any hell she had ever encountered.
In steps, legendary womanizer extraordinaire, pro-football player, Aaron Harrison took one look at Asia and her turmoil and decided to become her Knight in shining armor. His generosity and caring overwhelmed Asia and love soon captured her heart. But, Aaron wasn't ready for that “thing called love.” so he bolted. But, love would not be denied and showed Aaron the error of his ways. He soon found that he couldn’t out run love regardless of how fast he sprinted on “the field of love.”
This is a tricky one to rate I think.. Because the book was good, well the story could have been good.. It was quite emotional in a lot of parts.. But the editing is absolutely HORRIBLE.. I mean absolutely horrible-- I honestly think this author would be a lot more successful if she would just get an editor.. Or even a reader who could lend their eyes-- it doesnt have to be a professional because believe me the errors are glaring.. Which brings me to the next problem I had with this book.. The price.. It was sooooo not worth 2.99, granted it is a longer story I think (or maybe it seeemed that way because a lot of things happen in such a short amount of time) but like I said the errors were so bad that I feel jipped (sp?)..
Story-wise--- I really really liked the storyline.. I could not quit reading but Aaron was just too bad.. I love jerky Heroes but Aaron even exceeded the worst jerk Ive ever read.. I kept saying I dont know how he is gonna redeem himself and I dont think he did.. But I still liked him.. I dont know Im a little confused myself lol..
Overall I dont think I would recommend this story because of the editing and because as is it isnt worth 2.99...
I didn't think Aaron would fall. He stumbled a few times. But I am so glad that Asia got a chance to stand in the light. Her life was horrible. I want to hurt someone. Thank God the people who loved her and accepted her in their lives. Thanks marauders were special in this one too.
I just can’t seem to put the books down !! Just like those thin mint cookies, I read one book and must immediately start the next one. It seems like Aaron was just a boy fighting for his mother and now, look at his baby girl , Aki !! Onward to next book!! Keep writing, Ms. Lee , cause I am a reading machine !
Asia had a hard life but no matter how Aaron fought their love she never stop loving him. Her life changed for the better once she met Tia and.the family.❤️❤️❤️
This was a good story but how much rejection can one woman take. I thought Aaron was an insensitive idiot. I really wanted Asia to find someone else. But a happy ending is better. Thanks Ms Lee
