Good read. If you want history and strong women characters this is definitely the book!

Spannendes Buch, das einen guten Einblick in diese Zeit in den Südstaaten gibt. Zum Ende hin wird es für meinen Geschmack jedoch etwas langwierig.

Jekel explored with south of Louisiana in "Bayou" just as brilliantly as Rutherfurd explored the south of England in "Sarum." I think she deserves the same acclaim.

Love book's about Louisiana, delta, swamp life on the Bayou this book delves into all of that and more.
