Tools that relocate themselves. Shadows glimpsed from the corner of one's eye. The feeling of being watched when no one's there.

It's all in a day's work for the crew renovating Bayview Manor, a dilapidated mansion overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the Olympic Peninsula. Rachael Payne is delighted to be involved in renovating the Manor, and it doesn't hurt that the new owner, Geoffrey Windsor, is exciting in his own right. It doesn't bother her that the mansion's dark history is shrouded in rumor and legend, because she doesn't believe in ghosts.

Geoffrey doesn't share her enthusiasm for his house. From its mysterious origins to the strange current events, he's certain something walks in Bayview Manor, unseen by the human eye. And he wonders if Rachael's faith in God protects her from the forces within the mansion…or blinds her to them.

I am a writer. Enough said. ;-)

I love to hear from my readers what worked for them and what didn't in my writing. I don't issue disclaimers or trigger warnings.

This sequel is something else. I couldn't even sleep last night after reading it
( Never read horror past midnight lol).
I love how the author continued with the characters and plot of the first book while introducing new ones.

****** Spoiler Alert*******
I wanted to slap each and every character at least once especially Rachel and Kim!
To be honest I didn't like Rachel for 50% of book because.
But at the end, I loved her.

Kim, Kim, Kim, Kim, Kim. I don't even know. The chose she made is something most heroines would have never even considerated. I didn't know if I wanted to throttle or hug her. But I definitely respect her. And I understand why she did what she did.

Caleb. *swoons*. His character is pure evil, soulless (maybe), and merciless. Yet his twisted connection with Kim is filled with hope, love (or something a kin), and salvation. The ending with the .

Ron was a hurricane of emotions. I loved him. He definitely put his foot down in this book. He did make some stupid mistakes but so did everyone else. Regarding his relationship with Kim .

All the other character such as Cody, Taryn, Denny, Geoffrey, etc were great too!

I love how they explain what the demons are and what the house(s) is.

Everyone needs to read this series. I don't know how the author is able to capture such complicated human emotions or come up with a horror story that is creepy yet complex.

I can't wait for book 3 and 4 (WHY AREN'T THEY LISTED ON GOODREADS YET?!?!?).
