The One Worth Finding

Rate this book
Tara Sinclair pretty much turned her back on life after tragedy struck eight years ago, including the BDSM-club she used to frequent before, limiting her actions to occasional, unemotional whippings at the “Fever Pitch”. But the Domme inside her has to take the reign when the club’s owner asks her to do a public scene of anal fisting, knowing when it comes to anal play, Tara’s the expert.
Looking for the perfect sub to partner her, Fever Pitch’s owner Jack Malcolm borrows Aaron Harte from a friend’s club in L.A…
Harte is sweet, submissive and has a definite preference for backdoor sex, so he seems to be the ideal candidate. He’s a natural charmer, but at the age of 38, he finds himself looking for true love. Playing around just isn’t the fun it used to be anymore. But since he’s not that keen on pain, finding a Domme isn’t all that easy.
When Tara and Aaron meet for the first time, both know they might have found what they’ve been looking for. Unfortunately, Tara isn’t truly free to love again…

this book contains explicit sex, very light BDSM-elements (D/s) and sex acts some readers could find anal fisting f to m, pegging, rimming, enema, rough sex, public sex.

This story is for ADULTS ONLY!!!!

No, no, no!!! It's such a weird book!

I mean the sex scenes were delicious with all the kinky, dirty aspects. I'm a sucker for BDSM so when I found a book with FISTING as the main theme... well, I dived right into it, and dived hard!

But... Now I know WHY I don't read MF books and WHY I prefer male authors of BDSM stories (no offense intended! It's just my personal taste!)

I'm sorry to say that but it was too.... sweet - yes, I think it's the best word to describe this story. It was too sweet, too sugar-coated, too... everything!

!!! SPOILER ALERT !!!

Love at first sight? OK, I get it. I can live with that - it happens in some books, right?
But love after... one, single BDSM scene? Without even having a normal, out-of-the-club, out-of-the-lifestyle conversation? Sorry, I'm not buying it!

Both Aaron and Tara were withering, almost dying out of love for each other after only one week of scening. Again, I'm sorry but I didn't feel any connection between the MCs outside of their "training" sessions...

And Tara? Half of the book I was like "Come on, woman! Get a grip!" Because 8 years of grieving after her husband and sub of 4 years? Really? She was suffering twice the time she probably even knew Jeff...

And Aaron? His declaration of not having another woman, another Domme touch him for the rest of his life? He was a 38-year-old doctor, for f*cks sake, not an infatuated teenager!

All in all, I loved the BDSM scenes, the training sessions, the FISTING public scene was heart-melting. The sex marathon only one day before the public scene was a bit OTT for my taste (I mean Tara wanted Aaron to relax, recuperate and stay eager before the finale, right? Well, it seems that not so much...).
Truth be told, the whole sex scening saved the 3rd star in my rating. What can I say, I'm a BDSM addict ;)

The whole "outside" story, however, got only 2 stars from me.

So, if you really love kinky Femdom with FISTING - which is not so commonly shown in BDSM stories - go for it!
But don't expect much more than that. Or rather, expect an overly emotional, and overly-dramatic love story between Aaron and Tara.

Let me start by saying that BDSM is not my kind of erotica; I got prove of that while reading this book. I consider myself to be extremely open minded about everything; life is too short to place unnecessary limits on it and should be enjoyed always. In books, the only restrictions I believe in is age restrictions and that is only to keep innocence as long as possible, not to censure reading. Other than that I say bring it! I bought this book because it was recommended, and even though I was a little skeptical about the concept when I started it, I was sucked in by the story so amazingly that I’m glad I gave it a chance.

I'm not going to discuss or compare the actual BDSM scenes because is a subject I, honestly, know nothing about and I don't think is fair to the story or the author. I do want to elaborate on what made this book a page turner for me which is the characters and their story.

I was impressed with the depths of the relationship and the feelings it evokes. I simply love it, love the characters (wanted to smack one character in particular more than once). Love their interactions and the devotion they show to one another.

Aaron Harte is in a class of his own. He is such a strong character while being so sweet and cute and innocent that it made me reconsider the concept of submission (if only for a bit). He is fearless, kind and loving, devoted and tender. He is the one that makes this book shine.

To counter his sweet, innocent, charismatic boy persona, we have Tara; a woman who lost the love of her life to a car accident and who became so distant that she seems to have a frozen heart inside her chest. In reality, the accident has left her so broken that all she can do is cling to the ghost of the past.

Tara's past and mule-headed point of view makes this journey feel like a crazy emotional roller coaster ride; but is definitely all worth it.
I do recommend this book to anyone who enjoys erotica, even if, like me, haven't ever read a BDSM story before.

Finally! It's nice to read a femdom story where the woman wasn't a man-hating psychopath. This quite a lovely femdom story with some excellent pegging and fisting. Tara is a petite woman who commands with her quiet chilling presence. Or it could just be that she's dead inside. I get that she lost a husband that she loved deeply. After a while it just grated on me. She just couldn't get over it. Aaron was a sweetheart. I'd fall for him too. He's a sensual little sub, isn't he?

I did enjoy each scene and Ms. Silberstern did an excellent job describing the places and the acts. I could see them in my mind. Some of them were more clearly drawn out than others. Overall, I found this to be a smooth read and pleasurable. It's wonderful when people find that one person. Tara is lucky in that she found two in her life. I recommend this to romantics who enjoy some hot kinky sex.

This is a BDSM romance, but it is definitely a romance; if you put aside the sex (and there is a lot of sex), this is a story of two lonely people who are lucky enough to find each other and the baggage that gets in the way. I loved how the story introduced Tara and Aaron and built their backstories so the reader could relate to them. Tara is a strong Domme who has trouble finding men to satisfy her rather unusual preferences. And Aaron is a great sub who happens to want the same things Tara does; he's no alpha-male, but he's a good guy who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to admit it. I loved that Teresa wrote about the negotiation, which is so important, and then the sex scenes - whoo! I'm not into this particular kink, but it was still hot, perhaps because it's so easy to empathize with the characters and the author does such a great job describing how they feel. She also included aftercare, which often gets overlooked in books. I highly recommend it.

Surprisingly good femdom story! I say surprisingly because I've tried several female Domme stories and, invariably, the women are messed up in the head. They often come off as cold, unfeeling, and harsh. The books also seem to be heavier on humiliation than I like.

This one did not have humiliation and they were such a good match. She was competent and knowledgeable without being bossy, arrogant, or mean. I thought the story of finding someone who shares your kinks was memorable. The scenes were great as well.

Definitely one I'd recommend, especially since female domme stories are tough to find!

I loved this book!! I am tired of seeing Dommes portrayed as cruel and uncaring. The storyline was riveting and it was well-thought out. The progression of 2 damaged people's lives as they are drawn to each other is compelling. Ms Silberstern put forth a caring and loving D/s relationship, although both were in denial. I hope there are sequels to this book as the owners of both clubs are just crying out for attention.

'He couldn’t wait a second longer or he would implode, die in a cloud of mind-blowing, dizzying ecstasy...'

In my opinion, this story is utterly cheesy and yet I kept returning to it with a kind of horrified fascination, unable to read too much at any one time because of the unabashed cheesiness; and yet sufficiently intrigued to know how the book might end.

Aaron Harte is a sub with angelic looks and a kink for backdoor activities as the blurb describes it. Tara Sinclair is a Domme who likes fisting and strap-ons. The two protagonists are therefore introduced by mutual friends who coincidentally own BDSM clubs in LA and Seattle.

Both Aaron and Tara have given up on finding love. Tara is in mourning for her husband and sub who died eight years previously and Aaron has been unlucky in love and since he is nearing forty he has decided his search is probably fruitless.

Brought together for a club demonstration on fisting, these two have a week to prepare and find themselves instantly drawn to one and other.

My suspension of disbelief was stretched to breaking that Tara would become a recluse (almost Miss Haversham style) and swear off men for the rest of her life after losing her husband of four years. Really? Even less convincing is Aaron's conviction that he has found 'the one' after a week and will never have another Domme. If you asked, I consider myself quite romantic, but this notion of self sacrifice and denial strikes me as far fetched in one protagonist, let alone two.

It seems rare to find positive Fem Dom books and this one on the whole is quite charming other than its lashings of cheese. I was somewhat irritated by Tara calling Aaron 'little pet' when it is she that has the diminutive figure. It jarred for me.
'..."Trust me to take care of you, little pet,” she cooed softly, “the longer you hold back, the better it will feel when you let go.”...'

So, mixed feelings. I enjoyed the story and the romance in spite of myself, but I think I prefer plots to have a touch more reality and substance to them, and very little of life other than the BDSM clubs in LA and Seattle is explored ...

The harsh reality of this book is it's nothing memorable. The set up is ok. The writing leaves something to be desired. The characters are a wee bit annoying.

The two protagonists are put together because of their compatible proclivities by their friends & coincidentally owners of BDSM clubs, one in LA the other in Seattle. Aaron is a straight submissive that has an anal fetish. He has a hard time finding a Domme that will fulfill his needs. Tara is just the Domme for him but unfortunately she's vowed to never love again after losing her husband. These two are set up together to do a public scene to demonstrate anal fisting. All well & good but the level of attraction between these two is going to make it difficult for her to keep that vow.

Honestly, I felt like the vow was kinda ridiculous. She clearly becomes more & more attracted to him as the week progresses but keeps telling herself that she'll have to let him go. Hells bells they were only married for four years! It's not like it he died last week or anything. He died SEVEN YEARS AGO!!! Judas…. go to Home Depot buy some wood, build a bridge & get the hell over it already! Then (as if that weren't melodramatic enough) I guess this notion becomes airborne since Aaron then starts telling himself that he'll never love again or be with another after their spectacular week. Really? Oy vey…

As a side note: this writer has a weakness for the exclamation point & needs to be a little less free flowing with its usage. Just a tip from me to you.

3,5 stars rounded up to 4 stars... and all 4 stars are for the BDSM scenes. I love reading about Dommes worthy of the title (as opposed to abused girls who grow into psycho sadists who Dom as a means of revenge and disregard their sub's needs). Tara as a Domme and Aaron as her sub work well together and their connection is understandably instant and long-lasting - and holy crap hot - but the characters are so poorly sketched that I know I'd dnf this book or give it 1 star if the smexy smut were removed. Tara's vow and her unwillingness to move on from a man who's been dead for twice as long as she knew him is just too overblown with hysterics to be believable and it makes her abrupt about-face seem meaningless, rather than making it seem like the big make-up scene in a rom com. Aaron's emotional fragility and lack of a spine is also a bit farfetched for a man who has lived a little and one wonders how he could be a worthy non-doormat partner to a woman with a strong personality outside of the dungeon since we're told they won't be playing 24/7.

All in all, a highly recommended read if you're looking for a thinking Domme and a sweet male sub; a pegging/anal play kink; and gorgeous cover art. I thought it could have used a few tweaks to the characters to make them convincing to me but it's easy to forgive in exchange for the smut.

First off let me say dom-sub stories continue to fascinate me, but I'm ambivalent I can't decide whether they turn me on or put me off. And when I'm put off, it's usually the pain aspect the Dom (usually male) needing to inflict pain, of varying degrees, and punishment on the Sub (usually female. This, I struggle with.
I loved this story, the dom is is the leading lady and the sub is the hero. Usually dom females in the books I've read are portrayed as sadistic bitches, Tara is warm, caring, and not interested in torturing the sub Aaron, except with pleasure.
The sub Aaron (this was a problem, purely personal my 2yr old son's name is Aaron) was submissive without being unmanned.
That being said the sex was plentiful and not gratuitous and hot and bothering.
Above it all it's a romance story about two wounded souls finding their other halves and coming to terms with past hurts.

I must admit I was a little apprehensive about reading this story when I saw the mention of fisting and enema’s, but always on the lookout for a good femdom type story I decided to take a chance.

On the positive, the story was about so much more than the above. I loved the two main characters and that they found what they needed in each other. I am not normally a fan of insta-love but these two were meant to be together, it was beautiful.

What I didn't like – generalizations made about people in the ‘lifestyle’ and the insinuation that most submissive men are ‘gay’. This just re-iterates why people in femdom relationships tend to keep quiet about it.

I am not going to rant due to the author stating upfront - Please, everyone who actually is in the lifestyle and/or knows better: forgive my mistakes.

A very narrow BDSM "kink" story that I didn't enjoy that much. A nice romance between a female Domme who was still grieving for her dead husband, and a veteran sub tired of the club life because no one really liked his "kink." His kink was of the anal variety and I guess I agreed with most of his prior D's, because I really didn't like the kink either, especially when performed publicly. Not a terrible book at all just not my thing.

This was a meh read. This was used for challenge purposes only. I did not know I had this book. I liked the characters. I think that was the only reason I finished the book. However, the story seemed like it was forced. It is about two lonely people who love BDSM. To me, the romance was not up to its potential. I thought the book was boring at parts. I was happy at the end because they got a happy ending. Overall, a read that was not for me.

I don't usually read books with Dommes and male subs, but I really enjoyed this one. I identified with Tara and her sense of loss and fear. I loved Aaron, and it's such a pleasure to read a book with a sub who knows what he's doing and enjoys it. The changing point of view worked well here, and the emotional depth was wonderful.

First, the bad.
This book is way too long— especially since the quality declines somewhat as it progresses. Romance novel trope levels are set to “Eye-Rolling,” unfortunately: the hero’s beauty and all around perfection is over the top; the heroine is superlatively tiny and every character notes it; they both have amazing!! green eyes; we get a silly, drama-queenin’ non-conflict conflict . Kinda corny.

The writing style is slightly overwrought, and there are some rookie errors. For example, the main characters are much too similar: the same unusual eye color, the same verbal tic, the same internal reactions (they both “almost squeal with delight”— on the same page).
The submissive partner is a little too submissive for my taste; by the end he’s practically doing ageplay and I wasn’t into it.
The author could maybe use a thesaurus. And a dictionary. And some finesse, jeez. (The word “bowels” should probably never appear in a sex scene? Certainly not repeatedly.)

Speaking of the sex, I didn’t find it very hot. It’s mostly focused on anal play, which I knew going in. Not really my thing, but it wasn’t off-putting. I didn’t hate it. But I generally prefer sex scenes that focus more on the internal (what the participants are feeling/thinking) than the external (which parts are going where). There’s a lot of detailed step-by-step here, and after a while I found it bit repetitive, even a little boring. Not the desired effect.
There’s some PIV sex too, but it’s of the “ram it in and pound me!” variety, which does nothing for me. And I feel like that’s a bit of an fdom trope— one of the few in the book.

Which brings me to the good!

The kinking is where it does best. For once, bdsm erotica that’s not one depressing, self-hating, and/or justplainstupid kink cliché after another. No ridiculously sadistic sadists! No bratty subs! No high protocol! No man-hating, sex-hating, punishment-obsessed fdoms! No painful anal! And get this, the “damaged” partner’s damage has nothing to do with bdsm or oh-noez-I-keenk angst!! In fact, every single character is cool with their kink, which is crazy— crazy awesome. Absolutely LOVED the focus on pleasure. And hello AFTERCARE. Staaaars.

After a while it veers into the naggingly unrealistic, but I’m almost willing to suspend disbelief, simply because… why not. Yeah, it idealizes things to a just-slightly-ridiculous level— which is to say, only about as much as most vanilla romantica idealizes vanilla things. So why not? Matter of fact, whole star just for that.
It's a kinky F/m anal romance fantasy. And I appreciate that.

I fell in love with this story..It's about a sub, Aaron who has an extreme fetish of being fisted by a woman. He can't seem to find anyone who will even think of doing it to him. There comes an oppertunity from another club in Seattle where the club owner is having a New Years party and would like to showcase Aarons "talent" and has just the right Domme in mind.

Tera is from the club in Seattle and has lost her will to Domme since the death of her husband/sub 8 years ago. The owner of the club asks her if she might be willing to do a public scene with a man who likes fisting, which happens to be her specialty. She grudging accepts.

The real story is what happens when 2 broken souls find each other by accident and they have to choose. Will they wallow in the self pity they have grown comfortable with or can they take a chance on each other.

I really liked this book. It was kinky, sexy and raw. The emotions I felt I was surprised by, I even got teary-eyed. this is the first Fem-Domme book I have read, and also the first fisting book too. I would suggest this book as a kinky romance book.

I usually don't read femdom books but all this anal play which happens in this smutfest picked my curiosity. The heroine is described as small and elf-ish which made it all the more absurd that she called the just shy of six foot hero "little one". Endearment or not, it sounded ridiculous. Furthermore, what I look for in any romance I read - no matter if it's a BDSM or vanilla story - is a strong hero. He doesn't always have to be of the alpha variety but a@sholes as well as boring guys that tick every mother in law's dream-list don't do it for me. The hero is like a well behaved and eager puppy, grateful for any kind of attention and caresses - only the wagging of his tail was missing. The sex is hot and I totally got why the sub was so into ass fetish play - I just couldn't really grasp why the heroine craved dishing it out. Yes, ass play is her big fetish but in comparison she draws a lot less pleasure from their encounters than the hero and there wasn't that much insight into her topspace. C-

I found this book on the recommendation list from Goodreads and I was totally allured by the cover. Generally, I am not a fan of both the short stories and the bdsm. But this is how I believe the bdsm should look like in the short form.

First, this is not about the sadist and masochist relationship, there is no pain at all, I mean the physical one. This is about dominance and submission in the sweetest form I have ever read. And it's all about the feelings and emotions, and not about the sex. The sex, also the dominance play, is used to show feelings between the characters. Aaron and Tara fall in love with each other at the first sight, I usually don't like this scheme, but it is somehow right in this story. What comes next is the relationship-building.

I highly recommend this novella for being so different from what we usually get as bdsm.

I loved this story. Tara is not a sadistic domme. This is a wonderful debut for Teresa. I hope she continues to write.

Aaron sneaks right under Tara's radar and before you know it feelings between them start to build. The sex scenes were wonderfully crafted. The emotion in the fisting scenes was surprising. You could tell that Tara and Aaron really had formed a connection.

This is a romance, and a love story. The deviant sexual practices take nothing away from that, in fact I think it adds to it that they love each other with so much passion. It's a story of two lost souls that find each other and love each other in all of their kinky goodness. :)

I would recommend this story to anyone who is curious about fem-dom.

This was a wonderfully sweet story. Tara has been grieving eight years for her husband who died in a car crash. Aaron is 38 and waiting for the right woman to snatch him up. The problem is Aaron is looking for a Domme willing to satisfy his need for anal play. When he is invited to Seattle to perform a scene with Tara- he knows he's met the woman of his dreams. This was my first Domme story and I am not sure if she is a typical Domme but I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Wow...I've never read anything like this, it is very, very anal-centric while being strictly m-f. I know, right? I never even considered that (this much) anal would be sexy, just not my cuppa, but hell, it was. Graphic and filthy, yet tender and loving...amazing. Note, I am strictly a voyeur in this area.

I loved this book, it had m-f romance, a good storyline, it was kinky as hell, AND it was femdom....which is hard to find.

ALL the characters were adorable, including the supporting cast.

I highly recommend it and will keep it on my "re-read" shelf , for uh, inspiration:)

I've read 3 Domme books so far. This is probably the best. It's a short sweet read about a Domme and a sub training for a public scene at a kink club for a week, they are perfect together, but the Domme is still grieving for her husband. I probably liked this one more because of the roles and desires they played in the bedroom, she wasn't all 'i'm gonna whip you but lick my boots first'. It was sweet and romantic.

Wow! So this was a little outside of my comfort zone. Both the h and H had what I might consider an extreme anal fetish. Ooof those scenes made me squirm and sometimes not in a good way. Generally speaking, I love anal play and was purposefully looking for those kinds of books when I found this one. BUT what took this book to 5 stars for me was the absolutely wonderful love story between two great characters. Aaron jumped off of the page for me. I loved his personality, his dialogue, everything. Only 10 pages in and I was hooked. It took me longer to connect with Tara. The description of her as "creepy" was apt. I got the heebie-jeebies as I read more about her. Interestingly, as she interacted with Aaron, I warmed up to her. And for such a short book, the secondary characters - Aaron's friends, Tara's friends were described so well that I would love to read more about them. One of my pet peeves are contemporaries with sex without a solid romance and this was done well. Character-driven, enough of a back story to get me to care about the players. Just wonderful. The ending just did me in. I cried so hard. Will look for more of this author's works.

By the end of the read, I was like......THATS IT?!?! Flipped more the next page...and theres is none more!!
The problem I have with this book was I needed more of Tara and Aaron but as dissatisfied as I am, I also think it best how the author had ended it.

The story and characters was well written and the scene play was describe well that portrayed trust between a Domme and a sub which strengthened by the chemistry and feelings that turn up even more beautiful and one of kind unique love from my eyes . Thus, the title of the book suit very well of the overall story of how long grieving soul and empty one find love in each other.

This book was also the first book I found out that the Domme isnt trying to act tough but actually really human that embraced her dominant side very well than any other that I had read. Even the sub was perfect model sub that you can't help not to love yet very determined by his own nature of needs that made him unselfish person.

Overall, I love and enjoyed reading this book.

Let me start this by saying this is not the types of story I usually read. I don't usually read Domme stories. I like my men to be in charge. However, after ready different things about this book I decided to give it a try.

I'v vacillated between 2 and 3 stars on this one. On the one hand I really liked the characters in the book and I found myself rooting for them. I also found myself crying at one point in the book as my heart was breaking for them.

The sex scenes didn't do much for me as they're not my kind of story, however I can see the appeal of them. The reason I wavered between 2 and 3 stars was the fact that Tara and Arron really only had sex. There was one date and other than that I don't remember them really talking or getting to know each other. It really felt like they only had their extreme fetish in common with each other.

I did enjoy the story and had no problems finishing it. I just wish there had been more dating/communication between them.
