ELMO TRIES TO decide what his favorite letter of the alphabet might be. There are so many letters - so much to love! He takes readers on a tour of the ABCs, naming the things he loves that begin with each letter, and decides that they're all special in their own way.
Not the snappiest ABC book but our little one does bring it to us a lot. With bright color illustrations of Elmo and other Sesame Street characters, it is a bit longer than most board books. The story follows Elmo as he chooses his favorite alphabet letter by naming things that start with each one.
The third person syntax gets to me after awhile, as does the lack of W/X/Y examples (shown only in pictures, not text).
Elmo can't decide what his favorite letter is. He must love "A" because he likes apples...
Cute. But it's a little too wordy for younger kids. Near the end, my 3-year-old starts flipping the pages while I am still reading. Other than that, not bad.
Elmo is always a hit with the toddlers. In this book, Elmo's ABC Book by Deborah November, Elmo tells us one of his favorite things for each letter of the alphabet. Also a board book with lots of bold colors, this book will help your child begin to learn their ABC's.
