The Friends of Damascus is a group of men and women from various special ops forces from several countries who have come together as private force to fight terrorism. Belonging to no government and being highly skilled, with an un-named source of funding this group track down individual terrorists and terrorist groups and puts them out of action without the red tape and politics of government forces. They can get things done, but at a risk, they are now on every police and Interpol most wanted lists and even the cartels have them in hit lists. In this novel they take on the case of stolen nuclear material, tracking it down and preventing is use by the terrorists. Interesting cast of characters, plenty of action, it’s the kind of book you hate to put down. I already have the next book on my Kindle for a future read.

Another action packed story with a plot that is, unfortunately, well within the realm of possibility today. Although a bit slow starting, the story quickly proceeds from South Africa to the Middle East, across Europe, and to the United States. Some of the tactics the "friends from Damascus" use are, to be sure, questionable, but then so is the enemy. Getting the job done is the "friends" only objective. The big question is how will the author keep the team going when not only the terrorist organizations are after them, but also the Intelligence Services of most major nations. Keeps you wondering.
