Breanne is inducted into a high class lesbian BDSM society, only to discover that the difference between submission and slavery isn't as far apart as she once thought. Along with her mistress Kari, Breanne works to free one of the other girls as well as depose the cruel reigning matron of the Society: Ellen Davenport.
Breanne Erickson is a Houston, Texas native and a popular BDSM erotica author. Called the “Dark Goddess of BDSM Erotica” by AfterDark Online, Breanne is a self- proclaimed "Nympho Humiliation Pain Slut". Breanne dabbled in a little bit of fiction writing prior to her joining Michael Alexander Stories, working for Lady Ann's Role Play Brothel as well as posting the short story "The Computer" under the name Amanda Erickson. In January of 2010, Breanne was asked to assist with Michael Alexander's BDSM Blog, adding short "daily assignments" designed to attract interest and keep the blog fresh. What started out as a daily amusement eventually turned into a monster, changing from daily to weekly, but broadening in depth and scope. She is a talented author with a penchant for bringing the realism of her experiences to the page. Breanne is the author of “Tales Of A Nympho Humiliation Pain Slut Volumes #1,2,3 and 4”, the controversial “Society of the Golden Rose,” and two novellas: “Riding the Wooden Horse,” and “Breaking My Record” (the last two of which are available in the Free Story Archive at www.michaelalexanderstories.com
Breanne is a bit willowy, and approximately five foot four (and a quarter as she likes to remind everyone). She is naturally a brunette, but has a tendency to dye it auburn. Breanne sticks mostly to the general BDSM/Realism genre, but has dabbled in both horror and fiction erotica. Breanne is co-author and contributor to Michael Alexander Stories and regularly posts to Michael Alexander’s BDSM Blog.
She currently lives with her parents, helping out at the family farm between sexual escapades.
Is this merely a story or is a diary of Breanne Erickson? I'm not sure and several chapters into the story, I'm not sure I care. The reason, this story is H.A.W.T! I must confess that I am a f/f genre lover. I also enjoy femdom greatly - as long as I get to be the sub. I could switch, but it really isn't my preference. In Society of the Golden Rose, we are treated to some intense BDSM initiations and non-con. The sadism and humiliation in this book is heavier than many of the BDSM books out there.
Breanne is a self confessed humiliation and pain slut. The amount of pain she suffers and yet still manages to orgasm has my mind boggled. In this story, it's more than just the intense impact play. It's also a story about best friends who help each other. Kari is Breanne's best friend, former mistress and lover. Through a series of events which lead to blackmail, Kari is forced to bring Breanne to a private BDSM group called, "Society of Golden Rose". This group is led by Ellen Davenport who is a hypocritical sadistic cunt. Let me tell you how I really feel.
This book is in first person even with Breanne addressing the reader directly. For those who are sticklers about writing technique, think of this book more like a diary. It's a diary chronicling the return of Breanne into the loving arms of Mistress Kari. The trials and tribulations Breanne goes through to return as a slave to Mistress Kari are long and hard. (No pun intended)
The BDSM in this story is a bit extreme at times. I like how Breanne makes a point of telling the reader when something is not acceptable. It could come across as lecturing but it does not. I like how it shows the differences of BDSM styles between the Mistresses and slaves. There is a distinction here between slave and submissive. Many do blur the line, in this instance we have a clear definition of how Breanne views it and this level sets us for the book. I really enjoyed this book and I will be re-reading parts I enjoyed. I recommend this book to f/f BDSM readers who want something more intense.
Ok, this was my first experience reading erotica or BDSM of any kind and what a way to start! From beginning to end I was either holding my breath or mouthing "Ooooh".
The book is about a nympho humiliation pain slut (which I had never heard of until I read this), Breanne, who is initiated into the Society of the Golden Rose along with her Domme turned Mistress, Kari. However, this society is not what it seems! The next thing you know Breanne is being tortured a countless number of times and not all of them are enjoyable (but most are). Breanne quickly learns that the society's leader, Mistress Davenport, is up to no good (along with some other Mistresses) and forcing Kari to keep secrets as well as betray Breanne! So its up to Breanne and Kari to bring down the society once and for all.
I really enjoyed reading this book, the author kept it suspenseful and sexual without holding back. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
Out of all her novels, this is the toughest one. I think it was her first and she was still learning how to properly craft a story. Still, if you like hardcore BDSM, this one has a plot and she doesn't repetitively use the words "harder" and "faster". It's also formative, if you're reading her story. And this author is prolific. Tons of material. She doesn't scrimp either. You get your money's worth.
Honestly, I'm just not much of an erotic reader, as crazy as that sounds. I read more for story than for kicks. I read this because one of my groups was reading it.
First, high marks for writing and editing skills. It is sad that this even deserves mentioning, but it does these days. I appreciate the tight control of typos and spell-check errors more every time I pick up a new book now.
Very imaginative with lots of hot f/f sex. I had some trouble with the very beginning, because there's some real non-consensual cruelty where Mistress Davenport, the villain of the book, pushes past our narrator's limits. I got angry with Breanne's "mistress" for allowing it for whatever reason.
I might have found it more enjoyable if I were more of a pain slut, but since I'm not.... well. As I said, i'm not a good audience for this genre, I'd rather be having sex than reading about it. But this was certainly better than a lot of what I've read in this genre.
This needs a serious edit. The kindle version hurt my eyes to read all the wrong word usage (to/too) incorrect spelling and misplaced words.
The content left a lot to be desired. It's rather graphic, but it was in no way sensual or erotic to me. If you want something steamy to read, unless you like rather extreme brutality don't pick this one up.
