I received a copy of Finding Ava as a First Read giveaway through Goodreads. I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the book!
A short time after being 'rescued' by extremely attractive, then-unknown actor Sean Grant when a mob of screaming fans swarm after his well-known actor brother Ethan, Ava was kidnapped and held for 9 days by a stalker who had unbeknownst to her been following her for years. One day he made a mistake and she took advantage of it to make her escape. Several years later, she has relocated and done her utmost to keep her location unknown to anyone she doesn't want to find her - especially her now-imprisoned tormentor and his family. As a successful architect, she is asked to provide a bid by Mary Grant. After successfully setting up her eldest son Ethan she now has her sights on Sean - and Ava is her choice of future daughter-in-law! When a hurricane forces the charter plane they unwittingly board not knowing it will be just the two of them and the pilots down on an island, Sean and Ava find themselves forced to share a one-bed cabin.
After her terrifying experience with her captor, Ava does not trust many men, and certainly does not let them touch her. Sean believes she is a groupie and believes she is 'chasing' him - with his mothers help. Volatile sparks fly from verbal combat based on mistrust and suspicion. Then, another type of sparks enter the picture when Ava realizes Sean is the only man who can touch her - and boy does she enjoy his touch - and Sean realizes she's not the gold-digger groupie he suspected! Before long, sparks of a different type fly! Meanwhile, back in New York, events unfold that may release Spencer from prison.
While the book has it's flaws in grammar, spelling, etc, the story itself is worth the read! I definitely recommend it to anyone with a passion for suspense, a bit of romance, and some seriously steamy scenes!

Finding Ava Jennifer Loren
I was first introduced to Jennifer Loren’s writing style when I broke down and purchased “The Devil’s Eye’s” series. I knew she had another book out starting a series. Not sure what pulled the trigger for me to purchase this new series but I’m glad I did.
Finding Ava plays out like a movie. You have this beautiful young lady who is not only beautiful, but intelligent and stubborn as hell. Her best friend and partner in crime is Kyle. They are both struggling Architects and damn good ones. Just out of school Ava is employed by her mentor who she ends up having a brief affair with. But honestly that’s not even that important in my view to this story. Although when the affair ends this is where her story begins.
Ava and Kyle have had dreams of opening their own company but needed to wait for the right time.
It’s Ava’s birthday and Kyle and Ava go to the liquor store to get a bottle of wine and to stand outside her favorite Italian Restaurant to breath in the wonderful aroma’s coming from within. That’s as close as she’ll get right now to eating there, when all of a sudden a commotion of rushing girls is charging right for her. You see they’ve spotted a famous Actor Ethan Grant. Out of nowhere Sean Grant grabs Ava and pulls her out of the way of the mad rush. And from the first touch here is where their story begins and they don’t even know it yet.
As things appear to be looking up for them (Kyle and Ava) something terrible and traumatizing happens to Ava. Unbeknownst to her she’s been being stalked since while she was in college. Spencer the deranged and delusional stalker has visions of grandeur when it comes to Ava. He ends up as the Security Guard for the company she currently works at and when an argument with Jasper occurs she leaves the building to head home in the pouring rain. This is the perfect opportunity for Spencer to act on his obsession and delusion. He offers Ava a ride thus the beginning of her worst nightmare. I’m glad Ms. Loren did not elaborate on the 9 days of torture and rape; she gave us just enough information to get the point across of what Ava endured.
As the story unfolds we hear about Mary Grant (Ethan and Sean’s mother) how she plays match maker with Ethan. We see a small glimpse into Sean’s rising stardom and his fiancé/girlfriend Rebecca. When Sean is offered a role and has to go to LA he leaves her behind only to come home and find her in bed with his best friend Joel. Sean breaks it off with Rebecca and heads back to LA never looking back. You’re probably at this point saying okay so, well Mary hires Ava and Kyle to design the new Cancer Center Mary wants built in honor of her late husband. Yep you guessed it she has already chosen Ava for Sean now she has to get them together under some pretense.
So without going into any more detail I’ll give you a few bits and pieces to wet your whistle and grab this book up to read. You have the meeting with Sean and Ava that his mom sets up. You have a plane crash on an island (loved this part), you have another stalker going after Ava, and you have the romance blooming, the inner turmoil with Sean trying to protect Ava from the man who kidnapped her and finding out where she is and the media that would surround them both if word got out he was dating her. This is all I can give you but this book sets up Book #2 in the series Reckless. If you like suspense, drama and romance you will love this book. But be prepared for the “I can’t put this read down” reaction. Jennifer I loved Finding Ava and I give this read 5*.

I loved this book.
I adore Ava...
and Sean even more.
I relished their story...
and I'm infatuated with Jennifer Loren.
I am addicted to her books.
If you haven't read any Jennifer Loren, then you should... like right now! Her books are so addicting and Finding Ava was no different. Ava and Seans story had me hooked from the beginning. Ava was so likable and incredibly strong. Sean was panty melting hot and so sweet. The only thing that pissed me off was Sean underestimating Ava and her strength, which resulted in a whole effing year apart.
The ending was absolutely perfect and I'm so glad that Spencer got what was coming to him. I kinda felt sorry for him because the dude was obviously certifiably insane. The fact that so many people believed him and let him out of jail blew my mind. I found this a little unrealistic that he so easily got let go, but it gave us an awesome climax and ending to the story. I can't wait to get to book 2 and see where Sean and Ava's story goes.

Totally thought this book was going to have a Captive In The Dark feel to it, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong.
I love this book. Ava is so strong. Sean was an ass, lets be honest, BUT he came around and I fell madly in love with him.

Exciting story hot arrogant actor Sean meets Ava on a street and rescues her from a mob of groupies then they go their separate ways. He remembers her and makes an impression on Ava. Years later Sean's mother instigates a meeting for Sean to meet Ava, neither of them knowing that they had met each other. In the interim time from their chance encounter Ava endured a terrifying incident and is afraid of men. Their relationship is rocky and terrifying. Will Sean commit to Ava, will there be a HEA. In anticipation of the next book in the series. No doubt a roller coaster ride.

I was kind of worried from the start that it might be boring but it's not. The story's intriguing.
He doesn't remember her! Which is understandable, I mean, it's been 5 years and it's not like he's been pining for her.
I love it, I did breeze through some parts but I did read most of it.
I don't know what's gonna happen on the second book, but it might be awhile for me to pick it up and read.. I kind of need a breather coz the story's quite long.

This is a very engaging book with a nice mix of humor, love, doubt, angst and courage.
The rest of the book is a sweet love story with an ending that leaves the door open for part two.
There are some distracting editing mistakes in this story. If I notice them- I know they are bad.

Good story that could have been pushed farther. The kidnapping could have been fleshed out abit lot more, especially how and why Spencer became an obsessed stalker and what exactly happened when she was kidnapped. The timeline was confusing because time would pass and it could be months or years later, but you never know until something is mentioned later, almost as an afterthought, that gives you an idea of how much time has passed. Hint of paranormal that was never developed. Liked Ava as a heroine. Kept me engaged throughout. I saw the potential but it didn't fully take me there. Nonetheless, I will read Reckless.

I was on Facebook and just happened to see an ad for this book. I read it in two days and afterwards was wondering where this author has been all my life. This book was great! A romance through and through but not a typical one. The story was told in the first person from both of the main characters which isn't usually my cup of tea, but she seemed to make it work. I was drawn into the characters, their struggles, and their connection.

That was not dark!! It was very good however!! I loved the story!! It held my interest! Ava, oh Ava, she was a fantastic character and Sean, I'm so in love with Sean OH and the secondary characters all of them were just amazing!! I liked this story so much I will be reading the follow, rare of me I know!! Haha

Ok so i kinda struggled to get into this book until at least 50% in... the writing felt bitty... the story felt like it jumped around abut too much with too much happening in a short few chapters.. BUT im nosey and i stuck with the book and im glad i did as the story evens out and gets better around 50% onwards.
This book tells the story of Ava who struggles through life making her way into building her career...when she is kindapped and assaulted by someone she trusted.
Sean is the brother of an actor who ends up being a huge star himself.
Who knew when their paths crossed that they had actually met before and that was the happy thoughts they had both used many times to get them through bad times.
So much happens for this couple in this story but it has an HEA in the end.

I’ve read this book a few times and Sean and Ava’s love always makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I love the dislike they had for each other, but watching them fall for each other was worth every second of pain. Ava’s past broke my heart but also added a dynamic to the story. There’s not a lot to say with out spoilers but I really enjoyed watching them come together and get through the hard stuff. They deserved the HEA. I do with we could have seen Sean in his movie role’s but from what I remember the second book will have that. I can’t wait to do a reread of Reckless. 4 stars #2OCCJD

The formatting confirmed the impression: a gray font which made the thing hard to read. The writing was a mess: a weird and incorrect (and therefore confusing) mix of past and present tenses. The story was all tell, and what it told wasn't remotely interesting, and the same can be said for the characters.

Finding Ava
Sean and Ava are both strong people. I applaud Ava for overcoming the ordeal in her life. I was emotional while reading about them and that doesn't happen very often. I am very glad that they found each other. I enjoyed reading this book.

I love Ava's character!! I enjoyed this book, found the story line engaging and liked the characters. Ava was my favorite - I found her engaging and realistic. An enjoyable read!

* I purchased this book for my own enjoyment *
If I´d have to describe this book with 4 words, I´d use: Witty, catchy, angsty and exciting! I´ve read other books from Jennifer Loren. But this one is completely different from what I am used too. Finding Ava knocked my knickers off.
Despite the fact that I enjoy the authors writing style, I believe this book shows a different, more raw side of her talent. Jennifer Loren´s ability to make you feel her characters is unbelievable. Even if there are many sub characters in all her books, a reader never loses track of the actual story and all these lovebale sub characters hold your attention just as the main characters do.
Finding Ava starts out with a young woman, Ava, who struggles with her job after college and makes some poor decisions along the way ( mainly sleeping with her boss ). all goes kind of well until she bumps into a stranger on the street who tries to rescue her from a horde of crazy fans who are chasing after a movie star. Once Ava finds herself in the strangers arms, she never wants those strong arms to let her go. Eventually, the green eyed God, Sean, releases Ava and both go seperate ways without exchanging names. Shortly after their wonderful encounter Ava dumps her her Boss and prepares to start new in Atlanta with Kyle ( her gay BFF ). She then makes her next mistake and that costs her dearly. Ava gets kidnapped and raped by her creepy stalker, Spencer and that practically ruins Ava´s emotional household. Ava is one big wreck when it comes to men.
Years later....
Sean became a hotshot movie star and Ava was managing her life ( as best as she could ) as an architect with Kyle down in Atlanta. Ava lands a big deal one day and finds herself on a plane with the person she saw years back for only a few seconds. Ava recognizes Sean....but Sean doesn´t recognize Ava. A terrible accident happens and both end up on an Island and find their way to one another.
If you think this is the whole story, then you´re wrong. All I explained above happened in the first few pages!!!!! ( !!!! ) There is so much happening in this 261 page book. It´s hard to believe that a book can have so many events in it...but it does. Just amazing!
I´m telling you guys....I was sitting as straight as a match reading this book. I was always anxious to know what happens next. Gosh....reading about how Ava loved Sean, and how Sean protected Ava....it was so beautiful.The whole book was beautiful. Angsty...but totally worth it all.
Never would I have thought Finding Ava would be such a blast!
An fantastic gut - wrenching emotional rollercoaster ride included with great witty banters between characters.
The author once again, nailed it. A MUST READ for anyone searching for a true lovestory!

Finding Ava ( book # 1 ) by Jennifer Loren gets a well deserved 5 out of 5 champagne glasses

The only word that I could form when I finished this book was "cute". This was the best romantic book that I have read in a long time, and is in the top spot at the moment.
The characters in this book were brilliant. There was a lot of character development, especially with the two main characters Ava and Sean.
Ava. A young architect, who was kidnapped and rapped by Spencer (who is in jail) is still traumatised by the event. Even though years have passed and even with the help and support of her friends Kyle, Anna and Justin, she is still not the same person she was. Until a fateful plane crash with Sean.
When we first meet Sean he seems like another stuck up book celebrity male. At first he thinks that Ava is just another groupie that wants to have sex with him, but we and he is proven wrong as the story progresses. And surprise, surprise they both fall in love with each other in the most adorable way ever.
The plot line and the story as a whole had me entrapped so thoroughly that I read this book all in one night, as it was nearly impossible to put it down. The steady pacing of the book as also a factor that made it an unputdownable. The transmission from scene to scene was smooth, so it was easier to understand and it made sure that none of the book was confusing as the scenes changes. This book had a good mixture of comedy with the romance that kept a smile on my face throughout and especially to the end of the book.
The best scene that was in this book had to be the first time that Sean and Randy were at the Ava's house. It was comedic to read about ex-special forces men being afraid to confront the two dogs that were in Ava's house. It was an unexpected scene that had me laughing out loud.
This was an amazing read and a brilliant romantic book that I was glad to come across.

This is actually a book that I did not receive as an ARC from the author, however last year I received The Devil’s Son (A Devil’s Eyes series book) and I absolutely loved the series, well the first 3 books of the series…soon I will finish the series. Anyway, after reading The Devil’s Eyes I began looking for some of Jennifer Loren’s other books and found Finding Ava and of course I bought it. I have so many books to read that it just sat in my Kindle waiting for me and I was finally able to get to it this week and read it. I am a little mad at myself that I did not read this when I bought it now because it was definitely a 5 star books!!! I like that Ava is just a normal woman who after having a horrible experience of being kidnapped and raped by Spencer was able to get back on her feet and find a love she could trust. Now, I don’t want to spoil any of it so I won’t go into too much detail but it is such an awesome book and so worth the money!! I do want to say it is not the typical, cliche love story with a normal girl gets to meet a movie star and they fall in love and live happily ever after. It’s so much different from all of that and that is why I love it! I seriously have nothing to complain about with this book and I cannot wait to read Reckless (the second book in the series) and the new spin off book that I received as an ARC from Jennifer Loren called The Long Road coming out later this month! So go out and buy this book! I promise you will not be disappointed!!

Probably like a 3.25. It was a painful start but it really did get better. At first, it seemed like we were glossing over some really major things in order to get to the love affair. It would have maybe made Ava's behavior and emotion toward Sean a little more believable if we had been more exposed to those character-shaping events. At first you're thinking, "Uhhh...wait a second!" Then again, Ava's pretty nonchalant later, so maybe it was best. I just think a kidnapping by a lunatic should have a little more print space than half a page. The story is fairly predictable, but they're likable enough. The dialogue made me smile. I would have liked more time with Kyle and Ava's family/family history. The first sex scene was super awkward. How many times do they really have to "respect" each other? Pick a new word. It was better as the book progressed. I like them enough to pick up the second book, so there ya go.
Before I go...WHAT THE HECK IS WITH EDITORS THESE DAYS??? I know my writing isn't textbook perfect, but I'm not an author! Misspellings, incorrect verb tenses (so obvious that I had to re-read a few sentences for them to make sense) and the incorrect your/you're. Really, people...this isn't facebook. I expect more from someone who has that as their only job. I'm already into Reckless - "beech house?" Really? Is it made of beech trees? Oy vey.

Ms. Jennifer Loren has done it again!! I absolutely LOVE this author!!! her writing has a way of really drawing you into the world of the book & really connecting with her charaters. That is a very important thing for me personally as a reader. I have found that even if the story itself is not all that exciting, I will still love a book if Im able to connect with the charaters and really get inside their heads. Luckily for me Ms. Lorens books are both very exciting (like non-stop cant sit still EXCITING) and she fills them with people you just cant ignore. While this one didnt have quite as much action as her other book "The Devils Eyes" (which I highly recommend BTW!!) it really draws you in emotionally. I was in tears more that once, Im not afraid to admit that LMAO Another awesome fantastic thrilling book by her, cant wait for the sequel & Im looking forward to much MUCH more from this Author!! She now has a permanent spot on my favs list =]

I'm such a huge fan of Jennifer Loren after reading her Devil's Eyes series, but I was a little bit disappointed with this book and I feel bad for writing this review. Major events were glossed over, such as Ava's kidnapping, and given only a page's worth of mention. Some things were a bit over the top and you really had to suspend disbelief. The biggest problem that I had with this book was the grammar and editing mistakes. Sometimes, I had to reread sentences to understand what they were saying and simple things were misspelled such as role/roll. But, I have seen much worse in other books that I've read, so it's not that big of an issue that it'll prevent you from enjoying this book. Despite this, I did like this book and it definitely did keep me interested enough to read the sequel, but I know how good Loren's writing can be, and this book just didn't live up to my expectations.

I enjoyed this story but there were a few major things that were, well, odd:
~ Ava story about being abducted is not there, until she reveals it to the H (Sean), not saying I wanted the gory details but there is like - nothing. I think the Chapter should have started with "1 Year Later" or something. I had to guess it was WAY after the abduction (when she mentions a trial).
~ Grammar issues all over the place!
~ "Quotes" not where they should be and often never ending a sentence.
There is another timeline issue that I want to discuss but it is a major spoiler! Like a year passes in a ONE chapter . . .
For the price point, totally worth buying. Cute characters, lots of steam & some suspense.

good book overall, its scary funny how sean's mom found the her son's wife's. man ava is a nice strong character and I truly do love her. joel and Rebecca need to get a clue on how much they hurt sean by there deceit. I love randy would have loved to see more of his character or maybe a story on him, and kyle too. it was nice to see that ava could find love after what she went through with spencer.

Ava and Sean met briefly and years later they are brought together again by his mom. A lot has happened in those years to both of them. They fight to overcome some difficult issues. I loved the main characters, Ava & Sean, and some of the secondary ones, Randy & Kyle. There wasn't as much violence mentioned as I expected. Great romance. I would recommend this book. There is a sequel to this book, "Reckless", that you can get, but it is not necessary. This is a complete stand alone story.

Finding Ava was a wonderful read! I loved Ava and her stubbornness, and Sean, Mr. Grant... at first I couldn't believe that he was the sweet humble guy that was first introduced when he met Ava for the second time. So full of himself! But still lovable and yummy as ever! I'm happy to have stumbled upon this stunning read from Jennifer Loren, and I cannot wait to bite into "Reckless"
