It’s often said that China is in a cold war with America. The reality is far the war is hot, and the body count is one-sided.
China is killing Americans and working aggressively to maximize the carnage while our leaders remain passive and, in some cases, compliant. Why?
If anyone could crack the code, it’s the renowned nonpartisan investigator Peter Schweizer. Schweizer’s previous three number one New York Times bestsellers sent shock waves through official Washington, sparking FBI investigations and congressional probes that continue to this day.
For Blood Money, Schweizer and his team of forensic investigators spent more than two years scouring a trove of restricted Chinese military documents, data-mining a mountain of American financial records, and tracking US political leaders’ investments and family businesses. Schweizer unloads bombshell after bombshell, exposing the Chinese Communist Party’s covert operations in the American drug trade, social justice movement, and medical establishment to sow chaos and decadence in the United States.
A towering achievement of investigative journalism, Blood Money is one of those rare books that makes you clearly see the world anew.
Peter Schweizer is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. From 2008-'09 he served as a consultant to the White House Office of Presidential Speechwriting and he is a former consultant to NBC News. He has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, National Review, Foreign Affairs, and elsewhere. His books include The Bushes, Reagan's War, and Do as I Say, Not as I Do.
If you have children or grandchildren in your life, then you MUST read “Blood Money” by Peter Schweizer. Make no mistake, you and those you love are in harm’s way due to a new kind of war conducted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) against the United States. In this short, easy-to-read book, Schweizer provides documents showing that the CCP’s People’s Liberation Army has a written, clearly stated, objective of undermining and defeating the United States. Their strategy is to use novel “unrestricted warfare waged in all fields, directions and dimensions.” This unrestricted warfare has completely redefined the 21st century’s weapons and battlefields. Folks, we are in big trouble because our politicians, media sources, and other “trusted” institutions are currently turning a blind eye to our safety and protection in this war. First off, this is not a book about politics—Schweizer calls out public figures ignoring our peril no matter what side of the aisle they occupy. The primary mission of this important book is to educate people about the tactics being used by the CCP in their war against America. These tactics have resulted in millions of both physical and mental casualties in the USA, and will continue to do so until we recognize and insist on stopping this war against us.
Schweizer’s “Blood Money” is organized into 4 succinct parts.
Part 1, called “Murder With a Borrowed Knife” details China’s fentanyl attack on the United States. Make no mistake: China is the center of the international drug trade. They work hand-in-hand with the Mexican cartels to kill millions of Americans by fentanyl poisoning. Schweizer describes in detail how the CCP pulls this off. In China, they make the chemicals that are the precursors of fentanyl; then, they ship those chemicals into Mexican ports controlled by China; next, cartels are provided with Chinese chemists who coach the actual production of the fentanyl; conveniently, China provides the mechanical presses to stamp the pills; and “somehow” the CCP influences Washington DC policies which keep America’s borders completely porous for easy distribution of the poison throughout our country.
Part 2, “Watch a Fire From Across the River” reveals how the CCP arms criminals in America. China is the world’s largest producer of illegal gun enhancements. They are masterful at smuggling millions of these lethal firearm parts into our country. Our inner cities are being flooded with inexpensive, Chinese-made auto-sear switches (which turn handguns into machine guns) and firearms suppressors (silencers). Then CCP organizations fund and foment gangs, anarchists and extremist groups in America to cause violence and destabilize our society.
Part 3, “Hide a Dagger in a Smile” is the most important part of the book for parents with children at home. It is all about the psychological warfare China is using to inflict mental casualties on young Americans. The CCP’s People’s Liberation Army has entire, extremely sophisticated, divisions dedicated to information warfare which they smugly refer to as “borrowing mouths to speak”. (Incidentally, Chinese intelligence agencies make their Russian counterparts look like amateurs in the art of information warfare.) Tactics include influencing Hollywood messaging in the movie and music industries; sponsoring athletes and celebrities for use as communist propaganda mouthpieces; manipulating social media with fake hashtags, artificial bot tweets/posts, phony profiles, and radical influencers; pressuring US mainstream media to be more CCP “friendly” in their reporting—these are just a few of the CCP’s brainwashing techniques. If you want to really understand the dangers of TikTok, largely owned by CCP-controlled Byte Dance, and the threat it absolutely poses to your children’s brains, this section of the book is critical reading!
The final Part 4, “Loot a Burning House” will touch a raw nerve for all of us who survived the recent COVID pandemic. China was the epicenter of this global pandemic that killed millions. But most importantly, the CCP’s policies and actions during the crisis were malevolent and callously executed to maximize damage, havoc and deaths worldwide. Regardless of your personal beliefs about the origin of Covid-19, Schweizer provides proof that the CCP regards biological warfare as a valid part of their arsenal.
Bravo Peter Schweizer. “Blood Money” is a well researched, brave book—a critical wake-up call for all Americans.
China is a more malicious actor than I previously thought. Fentanyl, illegal firearm parts, a global pandemic, propaganda and spyware have all come from China. This isn’t by accident, as Schweizer shows. This is done on purpose by the regime with the intent of undermining the US. Excellent investigation by Schweizer and his team.
This is an Excellent book. I have read many Peter Schweizer's books. Americans need to wake up and realize the Biden is allowing Communist China take over America. We need to STOP China! I personally make an effort to not buy any product made in China. They enslave/torture people for free labor.
Have you ever wondered how people who enter into politics became millionaires? It is not that hard to figure out. This is one of numerous books that show how the elite tend to turn a blind eye to the "illegalities" of how they obtain their multitude of millions all the while the average American gets screwed in the long run. Laws are written that exonerate those in power and allow them to insider trade and use their positions of power to attain the stature of kings, while we the average American gets stuck holding the bag and the tax bill for it all. It is a sad truism. I hope you will find the time to keep yourselves informed in this that perhaps, one day, we will be able to take back the reins of power to this country that is ours.
Once again, Schweizer delivers an incisive report on the various machinations of China and the CCP's ulterior motive to undercut the United States and foment instability throughout our country. There is massive evidence of the buying of farmland and other real estate assets near military bases, the existence of secret Chinese police stations and harassment of Chinese dissidents on U.S soil, and corporate technology theft, among other nefarious actions. Some politicians are finally beginning to admit that China is blatantly shipping fentanyl to the U.S. through shell companies in order to kill citizens, a strategy of unrestricted warfare. In addition to the drug warfare, they seek to undermine the safety in our streets by shipping auto sear switches, or Glock switches, which transform standard hand guns into fully automatic weapons that can fire 20 rounds per second.
Remember 2020 and the riots that transpired following George Floyd's death? Some Marxist organizations in the U.S. were actually funded by communist loyalists to sow instability and chaos in our streets. Neville Singham, an American billionaire who made his fortune from capitalism, is heavily influenced by Maoist thought. He stated "The Chinese and Cuban revolutions defined my generation's attraction to liberation and socialism." He now lives in Beijing and has contributed over $100 million to organizations driving the protest movement in the U.S. I will never understand how intelligent people can be so misguided by ideology.
At any rate, this book is an important work and should be read by everyone.
It appears that well placed leaders within the United States government have questionable ties to the Chinese Communist Party. This book provides excellent references to evidence. China cannot defeat USA militarily and has well developed programs to defeat it using Sun Tsu’s military strategies.
This book is a real eye opener. As other reviewers have said……read this book……read what is really going on in this country and around the world. I suspected some of what I read but this author researched and has the facts in print. This book is a reality check. It should be required reading for everyone.
BLOOD MONEY Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans
PETER SCHWEIZER
Review by Author Roy
The composition of this non-fiction is so well-developed that the reader will come away thinking - Wow, I did not know that. And, most likely, the reader is correct.
I am well-read and knew many of Schweitzer's topics just by the headline theme. Thank you, MSM and the press, for the information.
According to detailed information by the author, China is attacking our young through social media (TikTok), the motion picture industry, and video games. Using cut-outs, China has already killed Americans with drugs (Fentanyl derivatives) and did control their information about the COVID-19 pandemic.
This propaganda war by the CCP is, in some respect, payback for the Opium Wars - Please look it up. And the CCP believes that the West's, especially America's, decadence will destroy the world.
Schweitzer's narrative includes how our leaders do not pressure China, knowing they are doing what they are doing. This is a mind-boggling financial circle.
This book is what readers, my followers, consider a book for the INQUISITIVE MIND. It is a must-read if you care about your children and grandchildren.
It is a pity that fear-mongers such as these only ever quote from The Art Of War and never highlight any positives of both ancient AND MODERN Chinese civilisation. This is just so selective. For humanity’s sake China and America will probably co-operate, since you are both too smart not too. And please America, stop trying to export democracy. Some of us would prefer living in a functioning, enlightened dictatorship that is prosperous like Singapore compared to a dysfunctional democracy. Only other politicians, media elites and those sort of people are the ones who really care about those things. I prefer hardly any crime, safe and clean cities, more jobs and prosperity, even if that might mean a few innocent people are locked up with the guilty. Anyway you have the most powerful military, your country and companies innovate the best, and in most countries you are loved because of your soft power and things like peace corp and USAID. So really, what are you worrying about?
This book is absolutely terrible with its arguments. Much of the time the initial points are based on fact and are informative, but then the author takes them to the extreme. Are there party members working at Tik Tok? Yes, there are party members working at every company in China (including US owned ones), does that mean its automatically nefarious?
Yes, Xi was a higher up in the government in Fujian for a couple years, but there are 40 million people in Fujian, the idea that working in Fujian ties him to the mafia would be like saying Barack Obama has connections to and profits from Chicago gangs because he spent a few years in Chicago. The reason Douyin and Tik Tok are different has little to do with Douyin focusing on positive content and more to do with preventing Chinese from seeing content negative to the CCP, just like why google, x, instagram etc etc are banned in China.
The author takes everything to an illogical extreme in so many cases that it's laughable. He ignores all other possible explanations and chooses the most negative in every case.

Blood Money by Peter Schweizer, an independent investigative journalist, has written a well-documented look into the very real war that China is waging against the people in the United States. "China is killing Americans and working aggressively to maximize the carnage while our leaders remain passive and, in some cases, complicit. Why? Republicans, Democrats from the state level to our national leaders--there is enough evidence to spread thickly around them all. We need to take time to stop our civil war and to recognize who our real enemy is and how much China is contributing to the undermining of our great country.
Schweizer uses principles found in The Art of War to grapple with very real problems that have caused hundreds of thousands of deaths and will continue to do so until action is demanded of our leaders even if it affects our own stock portfolios. Part One "Murder with a borrowed knife" The new opium war-- the fentynol crisis Part Two "Watch a fire from across the river" Arming criminals, magnifying social chaos, destabilizing democracy Part Three "Hide a dagger in a smile" A TicTocking bomb, digital entertainment, The People's Republic of Hollywood Part Four "Loot a burning house" Social engineering a pandemic, a cover-up for China and themselves
China's stated goals in this war are the undermining and defeat of Ameriica without ever having to fire a shot. The minds of our youth are one of the battlefields. I highly recommend this book.
Revelation plainly explained about our enemies both foreign and domestic. Should be required reading in high school and college. May help save the current and next generation of americans.
“Many people fear that a war with China may be coming. But the war is already here. This is not a shooting war, with boots on the ground, fighters flying overhead, or navy destroyers pummeling the coastline. American soldiers and Marines are not dying on battlefields; cities are not being bombed. It is a war, nevertheless, with massive civilian casualties, that is decimating our social stability if not actual buildings.”
One of the most important current affair books I’ve read to date, and more relevant than ever. Peter Schweizer is a dynamite investigator, and all of his evidence is provable and trustworthy. One need only look at the research (which he has obviously provided) themselves to realize that we are actively at war with China, no infantry or missiles necessary.
Schweizer expounds upon the growing American fentanyl crisis, increase of gun violence by gangs on the streets, Hollywood and video game studio ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and the facts of China’s Covid-19 narrative manipulation.
Our leaders are not fighting for us; they are willfully submitting to Chinese homeland security threats. This is honestly one of the most important books on the shelves today, and I would urge every American citizen to read it and become aware of what’s happening to this nation from abroad. None of these issues raised by Schweizer should be politically divisive, certainly not to the citizenry, but they are.
China is at war with the United States. No, not the conventional type of war we are used to but a stealth propaganda-laced, indirect war. We haven't paid attention to it and have even participated in it for the love of money. Our children will be who suffer from this.
China has exported fentanyl into our country through Mexico killing thousands of US citizens. China has also exported illegal gadgets for our handguns that make them more lethal. China has used TikTok, video games, and Hollywood to get into the minds of our children. The book also points out what took place during the Covid-19 crisis, which started in China. China was at first secretive about what had happened. Then they hoarded the personal protective medical equipment. Then they lied about lockdowns and the effects they suffered as a result. All in the name of hurting the US.
What was most alarming in the book was how our political leaders either ignored China's actions or participated actively in them solely for money and power. Both of which are temporary. China will continue to work behind the scenes to destroy the US. We will ultimately be under their rule, which is scary. I pity our children.
Wow! This should be a must read for every American! I am shocked at how insidious the tentacles of the CCP have wrapped around the USA with the intent of harm. Well researched and written book.
Rife with right wing conspiracy, but well written and raises interesting concerns. The chapters specifically about the TikTok ban are somewhat agreeable and I LOVE TikTok. Reading this in parallel with the Mueller report does make it plausible that the CCP would do what it can to stoke motivation for protest/violence/disfunction following inflammatory events (such as the George Floyd incident), just as Russia propagated misinformation during the 2016 election. Overall though… this book is giving infowars/Tucker Carlson vibes
The book does not discuss the banking industry at all. It is about the pervasive Chinese influence in almost every other avenue of our lives. Hollywood, politics, Tiktok, communication, the gaming world, social media, health care, our elections, spies, the covid virus etc. have all been used to try to destabilize the world and the United States, according to Schweizer. In addition, their production and distribution of drugs like Fentanyl are dangerous and deadly. The author covers China, starting with the way opium was foisted and then almost surreptitiously forced upon them, using that as their excuse to get back at the Western world in all of the underhanded ways they have used to influence us. Early in the book, the author mentions a book called "Disintegration Warfare", which the Chinese have been studying. It promotes winning without fighting. Deception, disruption and subduing are the weapons. Near the end of the book, Schweizer mentions a book that is one of the most popular works of historical fiction in China, "The Romance of The Three Kingdoms". In this book, in order to gain control of a rival, his crop is poisoned. Once his position is weakened, the rival invades, and of course the victim is overcome. It would seem that China has been engaged, using both of these policies, in trying to master the parts of the world that they can, and because of their patience, determination and control of the situations, they have often been very successful. The use of devious methods like lies and secrecy may be the mainstay of their wheelhouse. The book is interesting, but grows dry with the mention of so many businesses, people and issues, and it often gets redundant and bogged down with details.
Wow. This book is saying that a lot of the bad things happening in America are caused by China.
1. China exports fentanyl precursors to America. So the opioid crisis. And Obama didn’t care. - how about OxyContin pushed by some Purdue Pharma? - I am shocked that the author labelled the wealthiest man in Hong Kong Li Ka-Shing has links with Triads, and that Deng Xiao Ping met with him and Henry Fok to ask them to do triad work for the CCP. This was lifted solely from a book by Sam Cooper. This is bothering on the ridiculous as Li’s own son was kidnapped by the Triads before.
2. China sells Glock switches that enable anyone to change a handgun to a machine gun. So shooters kill. - But one can just buy an assault rifle in America right?
3. China supports the Black Panthers to further racial chaos. Then it supported Black Lives Matter - Black Panthers were communists - Lots of American also supports BLM
4. TikTok: The Chinese version is educational, the American version tells kids to do stupid things - maybe they’re just showing what viewers trend?
5. China forced Hollywood to portray a nice version of itself in order to let their films be shown in China - Which country will allow a bad portrayal of itself in its cinema? Maybe only the Germans
6. China labs created Covid - it harmed China most, at least at first…
Overall this is a must read as this is the Zenith of China-being the culprit- opinion. Certain points bothered on the ridiculous, but this is the current environment. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail to avoid World War 3.
I rated Peter Schweizer’s previous two books as 5 stars. This one is also important, but it is not as good.
The subject is China’s cold war with America. Unfortunately, Schweizer “buries the lede” about China’s role in the Wuhan virus pandemic until the last 38 pages of a 200-page book. Everything else pales in comparison, but the reader has to slog through 160 pages about silencers, sear switches, Hollywood and Tik Tok before getting to it. He may have thought he was laying the groundwork, but it winds up being boring. I understand that putting this material after the pandemic would have been anticlimactic. But the book would have been much better with an introductory 50 pages about the other issues, followed by 150 pages about the pandemic. Just because Schweizer has 38 pages of material about Tik Tok and Hollywood doesn’t mean it deserves as much space in the book as the pandemic.
I had to force myself to finish the first 160 pages (2-3 stars) because I knew that the really interesting material (5 stars) was at the end. Even so, there are better books about China’s and Fauci’s and Daszak’s role in the pandemic, such as Rand Paul’s Deception: The Great Covid Cover-Up, that don’t give it such short shrift.
This book intersects with my interests. Money, corruption, and global politics. Essentially its about power. Instead what I read was very disappointing and incredibly biased.
Almost every 2 paragraphs a rhetorical question is asked, as if the writer is trying to prevent readers from forming their own opinion. He treats readers as children or, at worst, is the writer trying to mislead readers into their dubious arguments. Either way it is very condescending.
It is a shame, becuase from the news sources quoted, and the position we are in today, there is clearly issues between the U.S. and China - both economically and politically. The author could - and should have - put in the extra effort to expose the issues with our political and business elite. Instead what we got was a book with no substance. Only speculation.
For political books I want an unbiased author. Disclosure: I’m a Libertarian and don’t care for the leaders of either party. But, I have a hard time believing that high level D’s going back to Clinton are the only ones profiting (and allowing/looking away) from China’s “badness” and Mitch McConnell is the only R for the last 30 ish years.
The author does way too much “I’m going to tell you about…” rather than actually just telling. Why wait, besides to drag the book out longer?
Don’t strike me as a patriot I love Chinese culture and want nothing but peace but the CCP is one mean machine. They are controlling the narrative of the United States from what we consume every day to the video games we play. It’s a form of revenge from the setbacks they endured through American art-of-war tactics.
Another great book by Peter Schweizer. When will the American public understand that China is not our friend and only has bad intentions toward us? Lots of great insight into the blind eye taken by the American Elite only to line their pockets with fortunes. A MUST READ!
A book that will open your eyes to what the Chinese government is trying to impose upon the world. I had to put it down frequently out of anger and disbelief!
Schweizer cites almost every sentence of this work and is very reliable.
This is a damning book, perhaps too damning that the majority of Americans would refuse to read it rather than face the truth. Peter Schweizer from the Government Accountability Institute elucidates China's end goal: To replace America as the world's hegemonic power to promote "the concept of a Community of Common Density for All Mankind." - President Xi. China's deliberate facilitation of Americans deaths by supplying auto sear switches to U.S. gangs, obfuscating data about COVID, and sending the precursor chemicals of Fentanyl to Mexico for production, brings to light the irrefutable notion that China has deployed the tactics of Sun Tzu to bring down the West, specifically the United States of America:
1. Murder with a borrowed knife: Fentanyl.
2. Watch a fire from across the river: Arming criminals with switches that turn the semi-automatic pistol into a machine pistol.
3. Hide a dagger in a smile: The zombification of the West through the TikTok propaganda machine.
4. Loot a burning house: Concocting a pandemic to destabilize the West and earn respect for their repressive and draconian measures to "contain" COVID-19.
China has already admitted that they cannot and will not surpass the superiority of the U.S. military. Therefore, an Unrestricted Warfare must take place where nothing is off-limits: drug, psychological, cultural, and media warfare.
The scariest book abou the swamp that you’ll ever read. Schweizer shows how when the palms of Washington insiders are greased, so too are the supply chains from China. Thus, magically, poof go regulations and restrictions in place to keep Americans safe.
What’s scarier is that he draws parallels to China following Sun Tsu’s The Art of War as its playbook for carrying out this clandestine warfare against the US culture and future generations. Fentanyl, Covid, and of course TikTok are all in play.
Schweizer is serious, well-cited, and names names so, alas, it’s hard to not believe what you’re reading.
Interesting perspective and information about how China is influencing everything in our current lives and what their motives are. Some of this I knew and others I was not aware of. I think, despite there being some obvious bias from the author, that this should be required reading. There is a real concern about foreign nations influencing everything we do today and our governments lack of importance in combating it, or even acknowledging it. Being able to see all sides of this issue and understanding the blatant human rights violations of the CCP and its influence on our country is important.
