I was so glad when the authors approached me asking me too review this book. I can honestly say that it was 10X better than the first one!
There's a lot more action and it's very much fast paced.
The love triangle between Kai, Tristan and Emma still exists and becomes a lt more tense, deep and well intersting.
You find out a lot more about the night marchers in this follow-up, which keeps the story going.
I absolutely love Kaylee! She's such a loyal friend, she loves Emma more than anything and is willing to do pretty much anything for her besides her own judgement. Anyone would be lucky to have a friend like her, she's willing to fight all of Emma's battles and always has her back. I love their sisterly relationship and it truly is Heart-warming!
The next one should be interesting, I'm dying to know about Emma-immortal or not!?
Tristan is so sweet but yeah.. Give me Kai anyway!
And if I had to pick my favourite character, I know it's weird but I just love Kaylee!
I'm just glad that the authors really took everything on board from the last book and made this one so much better! I was scared incase my views from the last one remained the same and I'm so happy to reveal that this book really improved the series! And I can finally say that they did an amazing job on this book. Bring on the next one.:).
For those of you who were like me and unsure on the first one, I guarantee you that this book is really good.. I hope you pick up this book and give the series another shot. Because I did and I'm not disappointed in the slightest.!

EEEEEEEEEEEEK! This book was sooooooooooooo amazing! Okay, emma, calm down. whew. This book starts off with Kai still a Night Marcher (from here on out refered to as NM) *sigh* and Emma being sent back to Texas to live with her best friend. Well, as soon as best friend's mom leaves, they run back to Hawaii in hopes of rescuing Kai. They rope Tristan into helping, who is still in love with Emma, but she is unsure of how she feels for him. Anyhow, Kao shows up wanting to 'help' save his brother, claiming that he wants to make things right between them. Now, Emma goes chasing after NM Kai and ends up under the curse again, this time with Kai hunting her down. But, Kai is trying to resist killing her and the curse because he loves Emma. So... after Emma confesses to her best friend that she loves Kai (and Tristan hears her, YIKES!) she goes after him. yep. another stupid move. HOWEVER! Kao follows her and Emma tricks him sot that Kai stabs Kao instead of herself. And so, Emma confesses her love for Kai (YEAAA!) and the two live happily ever after. A-FRICKIN-MAZING book! loved it with all my heart :)

So I got to read this before it comes out! I was highly impressed, as I loved the first one this one was better! It had a great ending, eventhough there were things that I wanted to see differently. But you can't have every book end exactly as you want. So I will say, it was definitely worth the read. This book had much improvement from the first. The writing flowed very nicely and had some surprising twists thrown in there! I felt alot of different emotions...sad, happy, frustration, angry, ecstatic but it was well worth it! I like when a book pulls out alot of my emotions, it shows it to be a really good book.

My Review:

I enjoyed this book alot. I enjoyed the journey we got to embark on along with Emma and Kaylee. Their friendship was one of a kind. I laughed alot at Kaylee's witty sense of humor. They both remind me so much of my best friends and it made me smile. They had the perfect friendship and showed that no matter what you go through in life, you will never do it alone. There is always someone going along for the ride such as life, you just gotta have faith. I loved the love between Tristan and Emma. I was a Tristan fan since the beginning and it never altered. He was such a sweet guy and loved Emma so much. I liked Kai too. I just wished everyone could have had a happy ending. I really feel that love triangles are hard to incorporate for the author. It's gotta be hard to decide who the heroine should be with. But I enjoyed it either way. This was a great sequel regardless and I look forward to the next books that may be written in the future.

Firstly I would like to thank the authors for asking me to review this book before it was officially released. It’s an honour and privilege. Oh yeah, and I love this cover as much as I did the first.

Now for the really important part....

As anyone who follows me or my shared review page will know, I absolutely loved Night Marchers and quickly became a fan of these two very talented authors. It opened my eyes to a new world (which is no easy task) and for me, the story was unique. So did ‘Redemption’ capture my heart and soul like the first book? The answer is simple... Yes!

I love our heroine, Emma. She is very realistic and I think a lot of people will relate to her. I’m not giving away the plot line, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. What I will say briefly is that Emma is torn between two guys who love her dearly. Well, send Kai to me and you can have Kao? Just a suggestion.

Redemption has a lot more action and reads at a much quicker pace. Action packed from beginning to end. It keeps you glued to the pages and constantly wanting more. The book is also very ‘visual’. By that I mean, I can see everything crystal clear, I feel as though I am literally inside the book, walking beside this colourful bunch of characters. That to me is very important. I believe this series would be great for the big screen and I would definitely be one of the first in line to go and see it.

I’m looking forward to reading more by these two authors, and recommend anyone who loves a unique story, filled with action, myths and romance to read these amazing novels.

Disclaimer: I was given an e-copy by the authors in exchange for an honest review.

SOOOOO happy with this sequel!! I picked it up as soon as I finished "Night Marchers," and I read it all within 12 hours (had to break for work lol). I can honestly say I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and I even fist-pumped at certain points. =)

The characters are so much fun, and their story is so crazy you just can't tear yourself away from it. I just HAD to keep going, to know how everything would work out. And the ending, oh the ending. Don't want to give anything away, but there's quite a jumble of emotions to be had throughout the whole last third or so of the book.

And the closing words: "Finished for now" -- you mean there will be more?? YES!!!! <3

Amazing, breathtaking and a roll-coaster ride, are just some of the few words I have for this one! This was a for sure amazing second book to the series! I loved the first one but I think this one was even better. The journey Emma has to embark on to save the man in her life that she thinks she might love, but yet who gave his life for her. I love the journey Tristan, Kylee and Emma take to unravel all that has happened since Kai has been taken and find a way to bring him back. You will fall in love and experience a journey you will never forget. I don't Think i have ever liked all the all the people in one book as much as this one even the bad ones!!;););); thanks for letting me read!!.

Firstly I'd just like to say a Mahusive congrats to the girl's Rebecca and Courtney on the sequel to Night Marchers. It took me literally 9 hours altogether to read Redemption. I "needed" another fix as soon as I was done with Night Marcher's #1 so I was uber excited when the girl's posted on their page asking for potential reviewers for the book. I jumped at the chance and I am soooo glad I did.
Emma faces the same battle in Redemption. She is torn between two people that has expressed their undying love for her. With the help of her friend's she tries to redeem Kai, after he sacrificed himself for her to the Night Marchers. How far will Emma be willing to go to save Kai, and will she be able to do so before it's too late?
As much as I absolutely adored Night Marchers, I have to say that Redemption was packing a whole lot of action. I was curling my toes in frustration and anger towards Kao and I was adamant to find out who Emma would end up falling in love with and I was 100% satisfied with who she chose.
I ended up talking about the book to my mother. Telling her about parts that I had just finished reading. Who Emma had chose. Who pissed me off. What made me giggle. She got a bit irritated because she had absolutely no idea what the hell I was talking about. :P
Again the character's are adorable. There are a few new character's and then less of some :( Which had me in puddles of tears. I was afraid to get my Ereader wet so I was equipped with a lot of kleenex :') The letter Eve reads at the end made me break down and sob like a four year old. But it was so beautifully done that I ended up smiling. Who wouldn't want a man like that in their life? Even if he did call you "Woman" :) Paul never fails to make me smile. I can picture him in my mind being all flirtsy (Not a word) and bashful :)
The ending was perfectly done. It was nice to see Emma not have anymore worries... for a while :) I also liked learning more about the legend of the Night Marchers. It was very interesting to find out that there was more to the wondering spirit warriors.
I was absolutely honoured to do this review for you ladies and I thank you for giving me the chance :)
I give this a 5*. And I would recommend to anyone that likes anything from action, drama and romance too.

This book was as good as the first one. I could not put it down! I was amazed at the end of what Emma's decision was. This book was full of action right from the get go.

The way the authors incorporated the love triangle was wonderful, some authors can not write it in a book quite right, but these 2 did a wonderful job. Redemption was a great sequel to the first book Night Marchers.

Kaylee in the story reminded me a lot like my best friend. Always there for you know matter what. And I actually laughed when Paul said it took 3 people to hold her back from coming after you. If you have read the first book you understand why I would find that funny.

I can not wait to read more from these authors since they are so talented. They have already gotten a new fan.

First of all I want to thank the authors for providing me with a free copy of "Redemption" and for writing these two wonderful books. After reading "Night Marchers" and falling in love with the book I knew I had to read "Redemption." I loved it from beginning to end. "Redemption" takes you on another roller coaster ride and leaves you wanting more. It will seem like an eternity to have to wait for the next book. I recommend "Night Marchers" and "Redemption" and if you are as sensitive as Emma (main character) or me have some tissues ready. What are you waiting for? Get your copies of these wonderful books and be prepared to stay up late reading!

Wow in this second book alot happens. She is forced to go back to Texas by her dad for her safety. Her amazing BFI helps her jet back to Hawaii unknown to try to find a way to save one of the Hotties that loves her. Lots of love and action is wrapped up in both of these books. Truely it would be a bad thing for you to miss out on this unigue paranormal romance. I loved every moment of both books and so.... can not wait for the third one :)

Alright, I want my time back. I only read this because I felt the first book was unfinished. So much more filler in this one even. HOW?! And the recap was way too much. Honestly this should have just been combined in one book. The beginning is all random rushing around and isn't put together well. The island feel was lost, and not just because a chunk of this was pointlessly spent flying to Texas and back. I don't get Emma's behavior. Her behavior toward Kao least of all. I liked seeing more of Kaylee but she really didn't fit in the story and wasn't necessary. I only finished this for a reading challenge and it was short. In any other situation this would have been DNFed so fast. So many glaring mistakes, far more than the first book even. If even a middle schooler had written this and turned it in, I don't think they'd get higher than a C at best. The only thing interesting in this was the Night Marchers themselves. That is it. Didn't like anything else

This was an absurd read. I was giving this book a try because it got a high overall rating on Goodreads. However, I found this book even more boring than the first book. I thought that the characters were boring. I did not have a connection to anyone. Also, that ending was bad. I thought it was rushed. I am sorry to say that this book was not a great read for me. Overall, a meh read.

Review
Firstly I loved the first Nightmarchers, so I was really looking forward to Redemption, Nightmarchers Book 2, I was hoping it would live up to the first, and it did, I loved it. Well done ladies, you did it again.
The story continues on from where we left Emma in Nightmarchers, where she has had to leave Kai, as a Nightmarcher, he swapped places with his evil twin Kao to protect Emma, the woman he loves, I loved Kai and got quite emotional when he swapped places, Emma was not sure of her feelings towards Kai or Tristan for that matter, at the end of Nightmarchers, but I had my favourite and it was Kai.
Anyway onto Redemption, Emma has a lot to deal with throughout this book, Tristan wants to be more than just friends, which puts Emma in a bit of a predicament as she still does not know who she prefers out of Tristan and Kai, and whether or not she could save Kai, she believes that she will eventually come up with something to save him, Evil Kao really wants immortality and believes the mana from the old chiefs bones will be the way to get it, he will do anything in his power to find them, which could put Emma and her friends in danger, then there is Kayley Emma’s best friend who helps her out when she needs it the most but she does sometimes upset the applecart a-bit, being a teenage girl and not knowing the whole story, we have the Menehunes again in this book, although they are not in it much near the beginning, they are in it more towards the end of the book, but they are there for Emma and she is there for them, when they need it the most, So basically we have all the same characters, which is great as we do not have to worry about any back stories, we have many trials and tribulations, with many twists and turns that Emma has to go through to save Kai, She feels hugely responsible for his predicament as a Nightmarcher, she has to try and save Kai from his fate as a Nightmarcher, she then realises who she loves, which believe me I have been looking forward to for a while.
This book was as well written as the first, everything was the same it was just a continuous story which is just what I want for book 2, I got the ending I wanted so I am very happy, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has read the first.

I received a copy of this book from the authors for a honest review. Emma is back after being sent back home to live. She and her best friend sneak back to Hawaii. Tristan is in on helping them sneak around. The reason she is back is simple. She wants to save Kai the man she loves from the Night Marchers just as he once saved her. She finds help in an unusual person Kao. Kai's brother and the reason Kai now needs help. She doesn't fully trust him because he seems to have a different plan in mind.

I enjoyed Redemption even more than I did Night Marchers. The plot is thicker and you really see how much Emma will go through to help Kai and how much she loves him. Kaylee Emma's best friend plays a bigger part in this book and I love her. She is so loyal to Emma and tries her best to help her. There is lots more action in Redemption as even more is revealed about Kai and Kao's past. You find out even more about the Night Marchers and what it is like for them. It is hard to review this series without spoiler so I will just say if your looking for a love story with action, a paranormal soul takers, a love that tries to overcome all odds and friendship you must read this series. I want more and more of these great authors writing. I eagerly look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

Redemption is the 2nd book in the Night Marchers series and is a YA book that takes the beautiful island of Hawaii and explores some of the darker paranormal history about it.

As with the first book the story continues to be told through the eyes of the teenage Emma and her struggles with dealing with the paranormal as well as trying to balance all the normal things a teenager has to deal with.

I felt this book took a much more serious turn than the first, which considering how the first one ended was to be expected, and I will confess to being moved to tears on more than one occassion.

I love the attention to detail in what is almost another world and even though it is aimed at a YA audience I couldn't put it down. I have already suggested my own teenage daughter read them!

Overall a well written book and like the first it is definitely deserving of a place in any YA reader's collection. V""V

I personally loved the first book. And I really enjoyed that the plot continued in this book and was really excited to read it since the summer. However in this book I find that all of the emotion shown of Emma Townsend got really annoying. She, contrary to the first book, came off to me as stupid and really emotional the entire time. In the first book though she seemed more of a strong woman, although she did lose herself every now and then. Which did make the book believable after what she was going through. Ultimately this lead me to like the first book 'Night Marcher' a lot more.

I was given a Ebook copy from Rebecca Gober for leaving an honest review on Night Marchers.

First of all I want to thank Rebecca Gober for giving me a free copy of Redemption for giving my honest opinion/review of Night Marchers.

I read the book a few months ago but just couldnt bring myself to do a review.I dont like giving bad reviews when I know the authors have worked hard to tell their story..

So I really wanted to like if not love this book as much as the first. But it just didnt do it for me.It didnt grab me and pull me into the story like I thought it would especially after how Night Marchers ended.

To much of a Fairy-Tale-Happily-Ever-After ending! Seriously?!? It was so fluffy and rainbows and sunshine! Meh not what I was expecting at all!

After reading Night Marchers I was very much waiting to see where the authors would take this story.Sadly I was disappointed...Night Marchers had SO much promise of a really good series. For me it was a breath of fresh air!! No Vampires,Ghosts, werewolves, shifters of any kind.It was touch of Mythology and lore.It had so much promise to go places the authors didnt take it.I felt like they rushed to an ending and it ended up being a bit to much of a HEA...

Of course I had issues with both books but thats to be expected with "Indie Authors" because it was Self-Published of course there was errors and details that were messed up.But not the story of the Night Marchers.

So Moving on to this Book,I had High expectations from the first book delivering such a fresh, new kind of story, but I was sadly disappointed. It was like they wanted to rush it,get it over with so everything fell into place perfectly and ended up being predictable and cheesy. The only thing that didnt happen was Getting her Mom back, but at the rate things were going I was expecting her to pop up outta no where too.

I know this is the last book but I felt there could have been another.A lot of new questions were brought up and had me wondering.I also would have liked to have gotten to know more about Paul and all these people.I was and wasnt satisfied with the ending.I knew who Emma was going to end up with in this little Love triangle from the beginning it was pretty obvious. But I still felt there was something missing,I dont know what but it didnt feel like it was "The End".

I was given this book from the generous authors so I could review it. (Thanks so much Rebecca and Courtney! I am so grateful!) Well, let's go on to my review. :)
Redemption was even more captivating than its predecessor was, and that's saying a lot. Emma, our dear heroine, has to find a way to bring back Kai, who gave up everything for her. She is lost in the enormity of "love", and is insecure in her emotions. Emma has similar feelings(or at least think she does for the first part of the book) for both Kai and Tristan. Both Tristan and Kai have fell for Emma, which makes a love triangle that is also one of the main focuses of the story. Kaylee, her best friend, did everything she could to help Emma and be with her every step of the way. She was a true friend and never let Emma down. Kaylee helps support Emma when she has to deal with a multiple problems simultaneously, and is overwhelmed. Emma's feelings are described crystal-clear, and you could visualize her confusion vividly. The main plot has more action and moves at a faster pace than the first book, but not too fast so that you can still focus on each scene. In the last few chapters, everyone addresses their problems and fix them, even though things will never be "picture-perfect." The ending itself is a worthy and wonderful wrap-up to Emma's story. :)

Reviewed on Clean Teen Fiction

Redemption started right where Night Marchers left off. I was hooked pretty quickly into the story since I really liked Emma from book 1. I think the writing matured and flowed much better this time. I really enjoyed this entertaining read.

This was definitely a love triangle that could break your heart with built-love and insta-love. In stories with love triangles I think the guy the girl isn't leaning toward is the under-dog. I'll root for the under-dog to get a girl that deserves him instead of being upset that girl didn't choose him. No nice guy deserves to be with a girl in love with someone else. So . . . love-triangles don't bother me too much as long as the girl doesn't string both guys along forever. For most of the story Emma knew who she wanted. It was interesting to see how it worked out.

I loved the action and the suspense in this book. I was scared for her life at times! Fun, suspenseful, romantic, Redemption was a great book!

Redemption had me from the very first page. I love the Night Marchers but this was even better. I Was happy we got to see more of Kylee and Tristan in this one and love the journey they go on with Emma to find a way to bring back Kai. Kylee is a true friend right there at Emma side no matter what Emma said and with Tristan he wants to protect her even if he don't want her putting herself in danger so he is in on the ride no matter what. You will see heartbreak in this one had me crying a few times but also had some laughs with Emma and Kylee. So much stuff happens in this one and I don't want to give anything away. Questions that will make you wonder through the whole book are Does Emma save Kai and Who does Emma end up choosing in the end? Make sure you get your copy now so you can find out for your self and you won't be disappointed at all..

This book really rated 2.5 because of the character development but book one (grading as a series ) helped it to a 3 star.

After completing the second book in this series I can honestly say that while the story line was interesting the main character, Emma, really irritated me. Always seeming confused, guilty but most of all weak, she really pushed me over the edge in this book. I pushed though though because u wanted I know how it would end. I just can't understand why the girls
In the book were portrayed as silly, somewhat unintelligent and lacking common sense and self preservation.

This book picked up right where Book 1 (Night Marchers) left off and didn't miss a beat. I was pulled in from the first sentence and found myself unable to put in down. The story that evolved was one I absolutely loved, and the writing was incredible. The characters are so wonderfully written that you can't help but fall in love with them.

I definitely recommend this YA series as a must read, you won't be disappointed. :)

As with the first book in the series...an entertaining read. However, the same reason applies as to four stars instead of five. Numerous grammatical errors and an obvious reliance on spellcheck rather than actual editing.
