In this book, a prominent historian brings up to date his comprehensive overview of Germany since 1945. Henry Turner, has extended his masterly discussion of the partitioning of Germany after the Second World War and the evolution of East and West Germany to take into account the momentous events that swept away one of the German states and united the country under the constitution of the other.
really more like 2.5 it wasn't anything special but it got the job done more or less. got a bit too much into boring details of election statistics and things like that for my taste. would have like a bit more about culture. but pretty concise so it's got that going for it.
For a history class, very informative definitely a great book for those trying to get a very in depth idea of Germany and how it became what it is today.
