Writer. Bibliophile. Collector. Animal lover. Horror freak.

My name is Yolanda, and I live in Australia. I write horror tales that bleed into other genres. I'm a horror freak from way back and a total bibliophile! I also collect cute stuff, love cozy vibes, and enjoy going for walks.

Unseen is the first book I read from Yolanda Sfestos, it's only 90 pages on my eReader and I finished it in one weekend. As soon as I started the book I couldn't put it down. A prequel to Unnatural, it is a must read, you'll get a good understanding of Trina, her background and where she's going.

The love story is heart warming with a surprise ending, you can't help but fall for Doug the vampire/vigilante/cutie-pie. I like Trina's background, how she came to be a vampire slayer, lots of things could happen to her due to her particular survival needs. I can't wait to read Unnatural, the first in the series.

This novella is the prequel to a new series in either PNR or UF (from the story it could go either way).
It has some interesting elements: the heroine's past and "humanity", its relationship with the church.

I can't say it has compelled me to look for the sequel. I'm not particularly fond of a woman who is mislead easily, nor I understood what the fuss was about Doug, the hero. As usual with novellas the short space makes the attraction always difficult to believe. The ending makes me fear a religious undertone to the series. I'll see when the first book will be published if I want to dig in this series.
