Capture Me

Rate this book
Capture Me thrusts both Awaken Me fans and new readers alike right into the action—scenes filled with love, turmoil, bitterness and revenge. The second installment in the Connected Novel series Capture Me continues the story of Aimee, smart, beautiful young woman who has been forced into a world of warring vampires and werewolves.
Escaping the vampires’ underground lair to head back to Palm Beach proved to be more challenging than Aimee and Marcus, her werewolf friend and bodyguard, could ever have imagined. Alec, still in love with Aimee, is on a rampage of hurt and turns to new friends to hide his heart, becoming the leader in a revolution that will change the way Vampires live. The fine line between right and wrong becomes very thin as Alec chooses to indulge his instinctual desires. When put to the test, can Aimee actually destroy Derek, the werewolf who kidnapped her and whom she still has feelings for? Decisions will be made, hearts will be broken, and a new breed will be created to face a force that will threaten to destroy the ultimate creation of Vampires and Werewolves alike.

Hello all, I am here to give my review for Capture Me by Emily Gossett. I was lucky to be able to read this ARC and am so freaking glad I got this opportunity. After reading Awaken Me book 1 I was captivated by the unique and original story of Aimee the hybrid and her life. Capture Me picks right up where book 1 left off and you're thrown into a world where one choice can affect the lives of everyone involved.
Aimee the strong willed hybrid has set out on a mission that she already knows she won't be able to finish. She left the community to rid her life of the man who lied to her and deceived her. She embarks on her journey accompanied by Marcus the amazingly hot werewolf who will help her in more ways than one. Aimee is so much more than she knows not only to the men but to the world. Her fire is being fanned and the inferno has only begun.
Alec the drop dead sexy vampire has only just started his journey and when Aimee made the choice to leave she unknowingly opened Alec's past up to consume him. Alec must delve into his dark past and the plot of his family to truly know and understand where he is going in his life. Aimee has a connection to Alec that neither of them expected and she haunts his mind and invades every thought.
Derek is badder than before in his quest to possess the one thing he has let consume him for years. While he tries to use his charming ways to sway Aimee she still sees his dark and dangerous side. When other rogues interfere in what he wants Derek goes beyond the limit and keeps Aimee in his grasp against her will.
Marcus while helping Aimee is not only being a great friend but he is showing Aimee what she is made of. A bond is growing and lives are on the line. Marcus can't always save the day but he does make Aimee's days worth fighting for.
Introducing Jade a new twist to the story, she is a long kept secret and no one sees her coming. Lethal and deadly she is going to show Aimee some things are just meant to happen. Bonded to the one who will lead them all Jade is a new and exciting character to love and cheer for.
Capture Me is the sequel every reader dreams of, keeping up the adventure and never letting it fall short. A darker side to the characters is shown and will draw you in and have you dying for more. A great sequel to an amazing start. No one will be let down by this book it is absolutely a perfect compliment to the story and shows off Emily's versatile writing as she tells the story from deeper places and darker sides. Read this and see where all of our favorite characters are going and I personally guarantee your mouth will be hanging open with raw emotion and dangerous twists that will shock you to the core. 5 out of 5 stars for Capture Me by Emily Gossett.

Well this is one I have been waiting on for a while and I thanks Emily for sending me an ARC, I was so excited! The new adventure of Amiee and all that crazy things that is going on with her. She is now running form her new life she has come to find out was her past but one she cannot remember. She now runs from the man that once was from the time she can not remember, Alce, the one she has true feeling for but now needs to keep safe form Derek her ex-fiancée and rogue werewolf, who had captured her so many years ago. Vampires, Werewolf’s, Highbred OH MY!!!;)

Page one got me; I was sucked in and could not put it down! I was happy to get back into Aimee’s journey to find out all that had happened to her in the six years she was with Derek and the years before. She wanted answers and she got them. I was not happy when she ran from Alce with Marcus but I have to say I really enjoyed Marcus and understood why Amiee needed to protect Alce. She meets some new people on this journey and comes into many close calls that leave you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed the story more because I got a feel of every character and what was going on with them and their story. I always felt like part of this book and that is one thing I like about a book, I want to feel in the story and part of their journey and that was for sure this one.

“Sucked in” is for sure the right description of what will happen to you when you read this second installment!! Get ready for an amazing ride and a ending you will not forget, oh and I don’t think its over or it better not be I want more of ALL the characters in this one, because I was surprised to see that one coming!!;) Emily’s writing was on point and had me sucked in form the start. Make sure you pick up both stories if you have not read but if you have get to this one asap!

This book was also amazing, it's own story coming out of it's shell. An amazing second book to the first Awaken Me. I can not compare it to another, as much as I try to find a link. It kept me reading and turning the pages. I can't wait for the next book. It should be amazing pulling everything together and answering some of the questions I have after reading both Awaken Me and Capture Me...

ARC Honest Review

This book picks up where Awaken Me leaves off and doesn't miss a beat. The story that unfolds is one that I fell in love with. You get a deeper dive into the characters and what makes them tick, while also meeting new characters. Just when you think you have it all figured out, Emily takes you on a ride full of twists and turns that throws everything upside down.

I really LOVED this book, and I can't wait for the next one to come out. Emily really outdid herself with this one, and after reading Awaken Me, I didn't think that was possible.

I was given an E-ARC copy of this book by the author in excange for an honest review.

Capture Me picks up right where Awaken Me left off with Aimee (the Half Vampire, Half Werewolf hybrid) and Marcus (Alcide-esque Werewolf) on the run, in their attempt to get to Derek before he gets Aimee!

This book took a slightly darker turn than Awaken me as Aimee continues to fight off Derek in her mind, as he continues to invade via the bond they share. Alec as well explores his dark side when he happens upon his cousin and ventures down a very dark road that he may not be able to return from. Iva is not quite as present in this book as she was in book 1; I want more Iva! And then we have Marcus; since he has become Aimee’s companion while they attempt to divert Derek from the compound but only manage to find trouble around every corner they turn, we get a lot more Marcus time in this book. Smoldering green eyes and all!

This love square Gossett has created definitely has me intrigued! Aimee is bound to Alec but has a slightly disturbing bond with Derek. Now she’s on the road trip from hell with Marcus, and somewhere along the way they pick up Jade with her fiery red hair and mesmerizing blue eyes. The question of the day is; is Jade a friend or foe? And just when I was starting to think this book was going to disappoint me, Gossett threw a curve ball that would be welcome in the Major Leagues when she reveals the “mastermind” behind the bond and Aimee’s history with Derek.

I was a little put off with the storyline in this book, it seemed that every time Aimee took 2 steps forward she then took 3 steps back. And then the choices that Alec made when he found his cousin and the “Puyre” vampires upset me. That being said, we all learn from our mistakes. I anxiously await book 3 to see exactly where the turn of events in this book have taken Aimee, Alec, Iva and Marcus.

I give this one 3.5/5, but that’s just my two cents!

I was given this for an honest review.

Capture Me continues were Awaken Me left off. With Aimee going to find Derek to kill him. In order to protect the ones she loves. The were many twists and turns. I wasn't sure how it was going to end. I loved it as much as I loved Awaken Me. Which is awesome cause sometimes sequels tend to lack from the first one. You will not be disappointed with this series. Aimee can kick some ass when push comes to shove.

Looking forward to the third installment of this series!!

5/5 stars, Happy Reading, Ashley

After escaping the vampire community and her love Alec, Aimee is on a mission to destroy her ex-fiance Derek, so that she can move on, and not have him invading her thoughts and dreams. When Aimee left, it nearly destroyed Alec who had already lost her once when she was kidnapped six years before. In anger he leaves his home and falls into a rogue group of vampires called the Purye. To his surprise they have been looking for Aimee because she has vampire and werewolf genes and is destined to be great one day. Aimee wishes she was just a normal human, as the two sides of her genes war with in her creating a power that no one unawakened or turned has. She is fighting her feelings for Derek, regretting her actions towards Alec and also experiencing new feelings for Marcus the wolf who is helping her lead Derek away from the vampires and towards killing him. The Purye are not the only ones looking for her, Derek and the other rogue werewolves are tracking her down and so is the non rogue community of werewolves in Florida. With the help of a fairy who is bonded to Aimee, her best friend Iva and Alec are summoned to help Aimee when Derek and his mother get his hands on her and collar her so she can't use her powers. In the end both sides of Aimee are awakened, and she is hailed as the new savior of the paranormal creatures from the control of the Emperor. There is not much told about the Emperor or the Immortals that created the wolves and vampires, but it is up to Aimee, her friends and the new group of loyal warriors to find out more and fight them.

Disclaimer: I was given an unedited ARC e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved it!! It's a great continuation of the story from "Awaken Me," and it really pulls you in. This time, we also get to see things from another point of view, Alec's, as he goes off on his own for a while after Aimee leaves the community to go after Derek.

And Derek, just what can I say about him, his mother, and his wolfy friends? Their portrayals in the storyline, the dialogue Aimee has with them, is all captivating, and there were times I really wanted to punch Derek myself. =)

At the end, the action really picks up, and some crazy things happen (don't want to ruin it!!), leaving everything open for the next book. I can't wait to see what happens after this point and what Aimee chooses to do. Great story, great characters, 5 stars! =)

Ready for a different view

I have just finished book 2 of (A Connected Novel) Capture Me. I love all kinds of Vampire and Werewolves stories. This one takes a very different from anything I have read in a long time. E.M. Sky brings these Vampires and Werewolves into a different lite. The story has a lot of surprises that leave you wanting more. This series is nothing like the books that are out there. If you are a fan of old meets new then I would recommend this series to you. I hope there is a book 3 to this story.
If you are a fan of Anne Rice or Shayne Leighton this story is purtect for you. The vampires don't sparkle. These have their own draw to grab you in and wanting more. Please check out this series by E.M. Sky...

I love this series! When I first heard this was about vampires I was really irritated but thought I would continue with it. I am glad I did. The series turned out amazing! One of the only stories with a herioe who rocks and doesn't need help from a guy. Looking for the next one!!
