Atticus woke up planning to enjoy Valentine's Day with his boyfriend, but since getting out of bed his day has only been one disaster after another. Rachel White was born and raised in L.A., California, but moved north for college. An avid reader for as long as she can remember, she started writing in high school and hasn’t stopped since. Though her favorite genre is probably fantasy, she’ll devour a good book no matter what shelf it belongs to, and she takes an equally experimental approach to her own writing, hopping between ideas, genres, and stories as it suits her.

Along with writing, Rachel has been drawing since she was a little girl and also loves to bake, particularly bread; don't ask her about her sourdough starter unless you really want to know. Writing, however, remains her first and strongest passion.

This book was just OK for me. My first complaint is that, unlike it's counterparts in the "Kiss Me Quick" series, it was G rated. Not that I don't enjoy non-erotic romance, it's just not what I had in mind when I purchased the book. My second (and last) complaint is that the story had an introduction with satisfactory character development, a beginning, the start of the middle of the book....and then it was over. Two strangers meet unexpectedly 3 different times in a big city on Valentine's Day. It started off with the first encounter being somewhat negative; the second encounter somewhat positive; and the third encounter somewhat hopeful with a palpable romantic spark. Is this the beginning of something meaningful? Kismet, perhaps? We'll never know because that is all there is...

A lot of potential. Decent writing. However, it still felt like a tease...or a summary of a larger, complete book that would typically be found on the inside flap of a bookcover jacket.

It is Valentine's Day morning and Atticus is already having a lousy day.  He had plans for the day, wanting to spend it with his boyfriend. Unfortunately, said boyfriend unceremoniously dumps him.  Adding to his lousy day, a man on the train mistakes him for homeless and gives him money.  As Atticus sputters, "I'm a hipster!". Noah, his would be benefactor, is amused and confused. They part ways amiably.

Imagine the surprise when later Atticus runs into Noah again.  He makes up a legend that if it's three meetings, it's meant to be.

The story is cute, but so short it's really like a beginning chapter.

A story that starts off with a misunderstanding, progresses to another coincidental meetings and ends with a final meeting that may or may not be fate playing its part.

Overall not a bad read. I liked the flirtatious undertones between Atticus and Noah. This felt like the setup for a longer story between these two.
