So, this series started out with two love interests. Both vampires. One was a vampire who was bound as a prisoner to Sarah's land. Michael, the dark, mysterious vampire. The other was Alex, beautiful and golden, but he did something terrible that turned Sarah away from him, not before she slept with him.

By book 3 all readers would have chosen a team, and I chose Michael. Whether or not he would get Sarah in the end is not certain. But everyone has been shown their options, or so they thought, and made a choice that they are comfortable with.

But, then Jackson walks into the picture and its insta-love. He's human and perfect and boring and a giant cliche. He is also so gorgeous that Sarah cant stay away and, like a ho-bag, nearly sleeps with him on several occasions. But, because he is so damn perfect *gag*, he is the voice of reason and gently refuses each time.

But then wait! Michael is still around! In the middle of her private Jackson party she sees Michael again and boom! They are having sex too. So now she has slept with 2/3 of these guys and Jackson knows it but he is still all like, "I wanna makes this work with you." Dude, you can do better. Michael could do better too, but he's awesome so I want him to get the girl that he chooses. Which just happens to be Sarah the ho-bag.

I dont really know what is going on in this love-square anymore. Introducing a new love interest at this point was just a huge mistake. And you may be wondering why I even gave this 3-stars. Well, I am still interested in the story of Michael and Isaiah and the other vampires. I want to know Michael's fate after he sacrificed himself for Sarah at the end of this one. There are still 2 books left in this series, one of which is not yet released. Hopefully it is not too long before this is all resolved.

well if this really is the last in the series then what a let down, hardly any real action, or proper story to whole series if it is the 3 book's long and the main character sarah basically was shown to be an easy lay and could'nt make her mind up what she felt for any of them, no real interaction properly of relationships between characters and love scene's were practically non starters.

I still like the series even though it jumps around at times making it a bit confusing every now and then. I really don't like how there are so many characters points of view. It gets confusing and I feel like at times that things were missed.

I am starting to find Sarah a real pain in the ass like Bella Swan though. Sometimes I wish I could just smack her in the face... her sister Kate too!

This series had some serious potential to get more than just 2 stars from me, but throwing so many damn men into the the love mix gets old like Laurell K. Hamilton.

This author seems to have ADD and leaves much to be desired in books. Jumps around from topic to topic without enough follow-thru. Book gets confusing to read with constantly changing point-of-view. Ending is lacking. Who does she end up with? Does Michael come home? Overall, I wish the author had spent more time perfecting the series because the storyline was great and could've been another Sookie Stackhouse set.

I have waited too long to pick up a book again it took be a long while to get back into this story and remember who was who and why i cared. Just as i did start to care it was over and left me with too many questions.

The story itself is good the characters are all enchanting in their own way. I did enjoy this story once i got back into the who's who and why

Sarah has her hands full again it seems, though i guess being the warden doesn't ever calm down. With the threat of war being literally at her doorstep the last thing she needs is a dead body showing up.
Between council meetings and dealing with dead bodies a rouge sister isn't enough now she's falling for the same man sent to bring her despair and heartache, while still loving Michael the one she will never have. I don't envy her complex life.
Will she muddle through all the issues before the enemy comes? Is the enemy coming? Where is Katie? what has she done? Why now did she have to fall in lust with not one but two men!? What is the council up to? What is Michael thinking?
so many questions guess i will have to stay tuned to find out.

Vampire

Politic, schemes & partial deals. Vampires still have rules to abide. I'm not sure what I expected but the story needed omph.

Really?!? Now there is a third guy that Sarah has an unusual connection with and wants to sleep with? Ugh. Not a fan of Sarah; she has the fourth book to redeem herself to me. In the third installment of this series, Sarah connects with the guy who almost raped her while under a vampire trance. Then she lets him live in her home with her and her housekeeper. Turns out, he's a pretty decent guy, and if it were for Michael, I would be rooting for him all the way. But, the author made me love Michael, so that's where my loyalties are. We learn a little bit more about what is going on and why Isaiah wants Michael so badly, and in the end, Michael makes the ultimate sacrifice for Sarah. Seriously, I don't understand why three guys now have fallen hard and want to protect this girl. She's mean 75% of the time, and when she's not mean, she's falling for each one whenever they have a moment along together. I liked the ending of this book, and I look forward to the next one - maybe the one where I gain a little respect for the heroine? I hope so, I don't like not liking a leading character.

Ah, yes, this book had lots of drama in it. I couldn't put the book down. Sarah finally figures out how she feels towards something and then it gets ripped away from her again. A new character was added. I don't trust that character though, for some reason. But she seems to be magically drawn to him. Anyway, all my favorite characters from the story played roles in this book. More were added. One I dislike, probably because I see that she may be a problem for Sarah. When I read the part about Michael being unable to tear his eyes away from her, I thought, "Oh, no. Poor Sarah!" Well, another tragedy happens at the end and leaves me waiting to find out what happens next and exactly how much Sarah's life is going to change because of it. I really felt bad for her on this one and angry with her towards the end. But, I saw the logic in everyone's reasoning. Poor, Sarah.

I still have questions and still have my fingers crossed on some answers.

"A rampage of whirling anticipation surged through me. I couldn’t focus on anything but him, the heat in his amazing eyes and the smooth surface of his lips. I should have been moving away. I should have been thinking about something else and reminding myself that this man before me was a stranger. But it was impossible. Because what I saw in his face, what I recognized in the space of that few moments, was that he knew me."

In the third book of the Undead in Brown County series, Sarah Wood has to deal with the changes in her sister, Katie. She also gets to know someone new in her life who could end up being her salvation. And then there's Michael. He's desperate to keep Sarah safe from his enemies. **Like the previous two in the series, this one is probably considered to be novella length. The word count is a little over 36,000.**

I read books 1 and 2 of this series back at the end of 2012 and I'd honestly forgotten a lot of what happened in them, however the first chapter of this did a good job to revise some of what had happened.

I did remember that I was Team Michael out of him and Alex but with the introduction of another lover in this, I wanted to throw my computer. Two men isn't enough in her life? She gets a third? I'm still Team Michael because he's done his best to redeem himself after the terrible crimes he committed before he was sentenced to be held on the property by Sarah's dad.

The ending has left me eager to see what happen next with Sarah and the three men in her life and I'm off to start book 4 in the series.

There is something about this series that I really enjoy, perhaps it,s uniqueness. Whilst the author tells a good story, it is really obvious that she doesn't adequately address the emotional and relationship aspects within a book. The relationships are really implausible and there is a big disconnect in this regard. It has been demonstrated in every book so far and I would have thought that the author would have improved on this by now. It seriously stops this series from reaching its potential. Also, Sarah is becoming less and less attractive as we move through the series. We are told by all the supporting characters how wonderful she is when her behaviour is not congruent with what is being said about her.

It is amazing that a woman can be so torn between to men who are no longer considered to be alive. Alex was her lover but he almost killed her, entranced her sister and sided with the bad guy and what's worse, he can come in and out of the field that protects her home. Plus now her sister is a vampire and she is learning to deal with that as well. Michael is determined to protect her and in doing so he may give himself up to protect her. Sarah's attraction to Michael continues to escalate but she is afraid after what happened with Alex. The story is a lot of fun...can't wait until the next one!

I was drawn in to the series by the first book. My mom read them and introduced them to me. I love them all...that is for sure!!! Micheal and Sarah...Sarah and Alex...Sarah and Jackson. The twists and the turns...the new and the old characters. The plot thickens. Just when you think there isn't anything else that can happen...something else happens!

"He's alive!" Victoria....Can't wait for the 4th one to come out!!!!!! I need/have/want/gotta know what happened and what's gonna happen!!!!

I loved this book, I could not out it down. I was getting mad when Sarah was attracted to Jackson because I really want her to get with Michael. I really wasn't happy with his plan at the end either, I know it's for her safety but I just want her with him. I like Jackson and I know he loves her and she feels for him too but... I don't know I just think Michael is the one. He needs to come back as a human after finding the Breath-giver and get with her, IMO.

I really didn't care for this one. How many times she's a girl fall in love have sex with the guy and turn around follow love with somebody else and want to have sex with him. Never! How stupid can she be? I also felt like a lot of the book was disjointed. It's almost likes the characters had feelings or thoughts that they shared in the book that didn't have any history explained us to wear those would've come from.

OMG! I really don't want to pay for the next one, but it is a must have beyond all others. I love Sarah and Michael. I really hope they do more than have a one night stand. They deserve each other.

Great read

I love to read series books. It's like a soap opera that allows you to pull from your own imagination.
