The heroine Eva is nervously waiting for the hero Nick to arrive so she will finally be able to talk to him. Eva works for an ancestry research company, and has tracked down Nick as the grandson of a very important client. But as soon as Nick arrives and they see each other, all of Eva's planned introduction flies out of her head. Nick is more than a little intrigued by Eva, and they end up spending a very passionate night together. However, Nick throws her out the next morning after discovering the real reason she approached him. Eva is humiliated, heartbroken, and fired over her actions with Nick but a couple of weeks later learns that he has agreed to travel to Italy to meet his grandfather, providing she goes with him. Nick has no interest in actually getting to know his grandfather, or so he tries to tell himself, but he does want Eva, badly. Once in Italy though, Nick finds he is not so sure of himself and Eva notices, which quickly turns their red hot fling into much more.

I was really blow away by this book, it is amazing. There are so many different layers in this book that create such a maelstrom of moods. The hero and heroine fit together like, erm, well I can't think of a good analogy but you get the idea! For me this felt different from Heidi Rice's last couple of books, but it is just as brilliantly executed. There is less dialogue but this is replaced by brooding and angst that really works within the story. I felt the hero and heroine went on a journey - both individually and together - and that, for me, makes this such a riveting read.

This book sparkles with passion, emotion, and discovery. It has become my favourite of all Heidi's [fabulous] books!

This is the brother's story(sequel to Cupcakes and Killer Heels), the now famous Hollywood scriptwriter who acted out once he learnt his real paternity and ran away from home at 16, never going back even when his sister called him up to tell him that their dad was dying. The hero was selfish I felt and he even calls himself that, he was too ashamed to face his family again so just wrote them off, going about his life, then he sees the heroine and seduces her and even when he learns she is a virgin he doesn't think it is his responsibility. He doesn't allow her the chance to tell him that she has been tasked to find him by his real grandfather and then acts like an ass-hole when he learns that. Distance brings him clarity and to make it up to her, he gets her, her job back and thinks he has made it up to her, no apology needed.

The heroine was a major doormat, having been raised by older academic parents she never socialized and then herself went into academics. The hero with his sexuality overwhelms her but she gives in too easily to him. My problems again in this book were the same as the last, the story? Their just seemed to be sex in the book and the hero's implied dark past is never revealed and his issues suddenly magically disappear and he is all ready for love. At the end he goes to patch up with his sister. I kinda didn't enjoy the book much.

Loved the raw passion, the intense chemistry and the deep connection the characters shared. They were protective of each other, loved each other and in the end they healed each other. What a beautiful love story!

Heidi delivers another great read and a hero to die for. Am full of a cold, and can't quite string a coherent review together, but this book did cheer me up beautifully. I especially liked the epilogue, where me meet Ruby and Callum again, H/H from the excellent Cupcakes and Killer Heels.

Ruby is Nick's estranged sister, and it was a heart-warming little glimpse in the future. I really appreciate those little touches, and it was lovely to see them again.

Nick is brooding and tortured, and quite the ruthless bad boy. He can't quite figure out why Eva gets under his skin so much. Eva is innocent, but full of spunk and seeing her grow in confidence and challenge Nick at every turn was a real highlight of this book. Some of this book is set in Italy, and Heidi paints a vivid picture, which too made me smile.

Heidi writes the bad boy, turned good, really well, and Nick is no exception. All he needs is Eva to make him realise that the past does not define you, and love can conquer all.

I actually read this book before I read books 1 and 2 in the series. It was one of the first Heidi Rice stories that I read and I loved it so much, it prompted me to start searching out her books and catching up with her novels. Nick and Eva’s story was totally, romantically satisfying from the first few words and I was totally drawn in to the development of their relationship and eventual acceptance of love. There were great foreign settings, gorgeous people, a family mystery and excellent sex scenes.

After reading book 2, I found myself annoyed with the length of time it took Nick to finally call on his sister Ruby after years of estrangement. However, having read the series again recently, I decided to forgive him. But I think that’s made me drop a half a star from my rating so 4.5 stars. Totally amazing read!

This was a really fun read. The main characters were both so likable, especially the h. The H was hot, sexy and angry. He had a lot of issues to work through. The h’s innocent sweetness took him by surprise and did what no other woman could, it cracked the wall he had around his heart.

Loved this book. It left me feeling happy.

Brilliant!!! I’m not just saying this because I’m a huge fan of Heidi’s writing.“The Good, the Bad and the Wild” was truly sensational! Passionate and Steamy!

With a flawed Bad boy Hero and a goody two shoes heroine the spark were bound to fly, and boy did these two ever start a blaze…. Nick Delisantro was just De-licious with his abrasive yet caring bad boy personality and Eva was just adorable.

Eva and Nick’s journey of self discovery was poignant to read, the depth of emotion conveyed throughout this book kept me hooked and took me on a emotional roller coaster; I laughed, I teared up and fell in love with Nick and Eva. This book is now my new Favorite Heidi Rice book.

In my opinion Heidi Rice has turned epilogues it into an art form. I always look forward to reading the epilogues for a chance to catch up with old characters; In TGTBATW we get a glimpse into Ruby and Callum’s HEA. I can’t wait to read Tess’s story next.

I so thoroughly enjoyed reading “The Good, the Bad and the Wild” this book had Heart, It had passion and a wonderfully touching storyline.
A definite must read!

I won this book from goodreads first-reads giveaway... I was so surprised, happy, and excited because it's the very first book I won from a giveaway.
It's also my very first of Heidi Rice, and me loved it! Although I kind of wondered, if Eva was so unnoticed, why all of the sudden Mick, of all men, noticed her?
Anyway, what I loved about this book (or at least parts where I grinned widely):
- When Nick kept (trying) to say 'Nick' every time some people said, 'Niccolo'.
- When Nick caught Eva reading romance and called it 'girl porn'. :))
- I loved Tess! For lending Eva her dress, for checking up on her, and I loved her idea saying Eva had a new guy named Bill to Nick. I really think he needs to be kicked in the butt for writing that kind of letter to Eva. Ugh!

After reading this, I found myself eager to read Cupcakes and Killer Heels and wondered if Miss Heidi Rice would write a book about Tess. ^^

I really enjoyed this book. The story itself was quite unique & kept my interest till the last page. It was fast paced & the character development seemed very natural and unforced. The relationship between Nick & Eva was very emotional and steamy. Ms. Rice always does a great job creating the chemistry, therefore love scenes were rather titillating.

As far as characters go, it has been a long time since I read a book with so dissimilar & peculiar heroes. I liked that despite the fact that Nick & Eva were total opposites, they were a perfect match. There were times when Nick came off as self-absorbed & unsympathetic and I was tempted to rate this book a bit lower. Then I realized that I don't have to love him in order to admit that his character was well-written and that the author did a great job underlining his characteristics & explaining what made him the way he was. I definitely recommend this book!

Nick had things go bad for him most of his life. His father wasn't his biological father, so that means his mother had an affair while married. Then once his mother died and his father for all intensive purposes except biological told him the truth. Nick felt horrible and at the age of fourteen walked out on him and his younger sister.

Then Eva comes along and gives him her virginity but what Nick doesn't know is Eva is working for his biological grandfather. After complication and more complications the novel takes you on a ride of your life, exploring Nick and Eva together, under the sheets, in love and by themselves.

I really enjoyed this book, characters were easy as pie to relate to and overall it was so well written.

This is a FABULOUS read that kept me hooked from the first page & kept me smiling all the time even in the most emotional & intense moments.
I loved everything about this book : great storyline, perfect writting, deep emotions on many levels, sizzling attraction,
witty banter, great dialogue, laugh-out-loud moments, likeable characters - a "nice" bad boy & an innocent but strong h - both h/H POV revealing
the characters inner thoughts making them more human in all their flawed perfection.
No doubt Heidi rice is one of my fav authors. The story of nick & Eva ll stay w/ me for a long time.
Please Heidi tell me u r writing the story of Tess (Eva s friend) I m already in love w/her character :-))

The Good, the Bad and the Wild is the story of Eva, who work for an heir hunter company, and Nick, a screen writer, whose grandfather is looking to find him and hires Eva's company to do so. Naturally, Eva is wildly attracted to Nick and sleeps with him before she has the chance to confess who she is and why she has a folder in her bag with his name of it, and Nick isn't best pleased. However, when Nick does make contact with his grandfather, he decides that he wants Eva along side him all the way so he can try and get the attraction between them out of the way once and for all.
I quite enjoyed this story, although I did have the usual moments of ranting when Nick went off on Eva about hiding who she really was (despite the fact that he had never asked). The chemistry between the two main characters was decent and I did feel sympathetic towards both characters by the end of the book, although naturally I was on Eva's side most of the time as Nick could be slightly overbearing. I sped through this in about an evening so it was a nice, light read.
Some good chemistry between characters and an enjoyable read. 3.5 stars.

The story of the book was good but I didn't have the usual emotional connection I have with the characters of a book and that's the reason I didn't even considered to rated this book with 5 stars.
The story was nice but the epilogue was all the money(I not sure that's a phrase you can use when you are writing english but we say that in Greece so I will use it).The summaryNick is a heir to some royality from Italy and it's Eva's job to track him down and deliver him the news.She finds me in a gallery and after a ride with his motorbike they end up having sex at his place and lets not forget the fact that Eva was a virgin.The next morning Nick finds the papers and thinks she used sex and her virginity as a way to get closer to him because of her job,he gets angry and kicks Eva out of his place.Eva gets fired 'cause she slept with him and Nick to make things right convises he boss to hire her again saying that he will only go to Italy to meet his gradpa only if Eva is with him.If you want to know what happens next read the book,I think I have spoiled enough of it for you.

I've always enjoyed Heidi Rice books...generally very fun characters that have a bit of depth....great witty dialogue....and of course the steaminess. This book was no exception. I thought Eva was just friggin adorable...I felt for her shyness and loved that sass and spunk and watching her grow. Nick wasn't too bad as a rebel...I tend to find those characters frustrating, but for some reason Nick didn't go over that line for me. I couldn't always understand how he came to be who he was...Ms Rice would hint at what he did to survive after he ran away, but never delved into it...so I guess I couldn't always grasp his reactions to situations. But other than that, thoroughly enjoyable... :)

Heidi Rice has done it again. The Good, the Bad and the Wild is a beautifully written romance. At the beginning, the leading characters' roles are clear: Eva is a good girl and Nick is a bad boy. But as the story unfolds, Eva's wild side comes out (there are some seriously scalding sex scenes!) and it turns out that Nick isn't so bad after all. In particular, the scenes with his grandfather really endear him to the reader. A thoroughly enjoyable read packed with emotion and a few strategically placed laughs. One part that really made me smile when we're in Nick's head: "The sheen of grateful tears in her eyes when he stroked her to orgasm was a sign of her inexperience and not, as he'd assumed like a conceited jerk, his superstar abilities in the sack." Such a guy...

I love this book. It has all the upbeat energy and charm I've come to expect from Heidi's writing. It's sexy, honest and emotional, with characters so vividly drawn you feel you know them. I couldn't stop reading to see how that sulky, sinful Nick reconciled the hurt, angry boy he'd been with the man he'd become. Eva was a delightful heroine, so beautifully written I sank straight into her shoes and suffered every one of her pangs and pains with her. (Thank goodness she changed out of those five inchers early on. And thank goodness she enjoyed a few of the sweet delights as well!)And since I'm one of Ruby Delisantro's greatest fans, it was fabulous to catch a glimpse into her and Callum's domestic bliss.

A nice, light, easy story.

Eva Redmond has waited 24 years to break out of the quiet, peaceful, even dull life she has always lived. Meeting Nick Delisantro in person makes all her past daydreams of romance pale in comparison.

Nick might have made a success of his life, but he has shadows and secrets that he would rather not acknowledge. not even to himself. Having the unexperienced, but passionate Eva set his world on end, he has to finally accept himself, or lose her forever.

Really enjoyed this book but I just didn’t click for me. I loved Eva and Nick was just ok…which is always disappointing when I really wanted a 5 star H for Eva. I loved the dialogue and Eva’s character development but Nick just kind of fell flat for me at every turn. I even liked the Great Grandpa more than Nick. Nick was not a bad hero just nothing special and certainly not special enough to Eva and I think that is what kept this book from getting 4 stars from me.

I loved the book so much and I am so happy to have read this after Cupcakes and Killer Heels. I loved Nick and Eva and their relationship. It developed similarly to Ruby and Callum's story (story told in Cupcakes and Killer Heels) but you got more into his background than hers. I loved the development but want more from her concerning the side characters.
