REVOLUTION is book two in a four-book slow burn dark romance series. It cannot be read as a standalone. The series contains mature language, intense sexual situations (including references to non- and dubious consent), and violence in keeping with the post-apocalyptic setting. It is not intended for readers under the age of 18. The series ends with a happy ending.

Still Drafting Review - I just finished this series this weekend.......I WANT MORE FROM THIS WORLD
I Loved it alll This was intense, gripping, intelligently a very smokin’ hot read. Dystopian - Crime syndicate - Romantic Suspense - action - secrets- Injustice - Betrayal - Strong FMC who should be front & centre - MCs with backstorys - Gay Rep - Fantastic found Family
Lets talk about the Slow burn - building the believeable foundations of their connection, as they learn about each other as it comes.
Characterisation - The character traits and development -character traits and development
Plot - The superb attention to details that make each story in this series stand out
Me I got a crush on Theo, Hardwicke....I sure loved Savannah too - I really think strong indication of great writing is when you always feel drawn to the secondary characters enough to care and feel them on the page come to life.
I read this in KU - & liked it so much I bought the ebooks for rereading.
I definitely enjoyed this book more than the first in the series but it still wasn’t amazing. There’s a lot of things about the book, and the entire series, that I don’t like but I find the plot interesting enough and it’s beginning to get less confusing that I still want to continue with the series.
That being said, I feel as though I only like the FMC because it’s written in first person. She’s not very easy to like and she has the most repetitive eye roll worthy arguments and conversations with pretty much everyone she encounters. The whole dynamic of her being helpless but yet still so powerful because everyone needs her help and information just didn’t need to be so overly done for the plot to succeed. I also don’t understand how she seems to be at the epicentre of everything, she’s just a waitress yet she’s the most informed and sought out waitress there is. I’m also desperate for some romance, that she consents to. It’s very, very slow burn and I don’t even know if it’s going to happen at this point.
Overall, 3/5 because the idea behind the plot is solid but it was brought down by overly dramatic cliches and over exaggerated characters and conversations.
Well that ending was intense...do not read if you don't like cliff hangers 😅. It has definitely got me desperate for the next in the series! A lot more plot to this book, I really enjoyed it. There are a lot of twists and suspense. I did struggle to put the book down at times, the miscommunication between characters is FRUSTRATING, you just want to bang all their heads together. But it does also feel relevant as in this world you have to be very careful who you trust and who you speak to. Plus it adds to the suspense and drama within the book. Interested to try other books by the author as I think the combination of good writing, well developed characters and an engaging plot has made this series a great read so far!
