Steve Jobs revolutionized the way we work, listen to music, watch movies, and communicate. By pushing boundaries and always thinking one step ahead, Jobs became an icon, equally as famous for his advanced ideas and design aesthetic as his sleek black turtlenecks. What inspired him? How did he do his job? What made him the man he was?
Here is Steve Jobs—the innovator, the rebel, the genius—in an incisive biography of a man who changed the world. Also includes quotes from and about Jobs, chronologies detailing Jobs’s achievements, and source notes.
One night at a meeting of the Homebrew Computer Club, Paul Terrell stayed afterward to get a closer look at the Apple I, gave Jobs his card, and told him to "keep in touch". Jops, not one to waste time, walked into the shop the very next day. "I'm keeping in touch," he said. "Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.... Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma- which is living with the results of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary".
بالإضافة إلى مزجه العلم بالفن فأتى بما لم يأتِ به مَن قبله، وبات من بين العلماء الذين يُشار إليهم بالبنان من أمثال أديسون وآينشتاين.. what we can learn from Jobs is to live life at that intersection between art and science. We need science to know how to do. something. We need art to know what to do. All of us are capable of look around us with a more open heart and mind. The universe is all around us, just waiting for us to make a dent. Even at his last breath, Jobs viewed the world with a sense of wonderments. His last words were, "OH WOW. OH WOW. OH WOW". الخطوة الأولى مهما صغرت هي المفتاح السّحري لأيّ نجاح يسعى له المرء وتجلّى ذلك في هذا المقطع.. when asked in an interview for his advice to young entrepreneurs, Jobs said he wholeheartedly believed that "there will always be opportunity for young companies, young people to innovate." He said that there are two things that really matter to build a successful company. The first is a truly excellent product. "A lot of people come to me and say 'I want to be an entrepreneur,"" Jobs said. "And i go 'Oh that's great, what's your idea?" And they say 'I don't have one yet.' And I say 'I think you should go get a job as a busboy or something until you find something you're really passionate about."" Jobs said the second thing is "pure perseverance." He never once took no far an answer, and never once stopped working as hard as he could.
This was the first ever book in my life that I read on digital platform. (Kindle on my iPad) Well, I read this short book on Steve Jobs because I had to prepare some office assignment on him and I had all my other books at some different place due to lockdown, so just wanted some quick catch-up with some handy material. The book, though brief, but was enough to capture most aspects of Job's life, his obsession, his marketing techniques and brief history of his entire life. A very refreshing read and I literally enjoyed.
Steve Jobs such an amazing-genius-creative human being ever lived on earth. Every single detail he created make sense. The writer tell the reader a brief story line about Jobs in pretty decent way. The details written in here potray Jobs's life and make it more like him, because every single detail about someone matters most. Many attitudes of him; the way he thinks, his hardwork that set him to fire at all times, how he combine art-science-technology, his attitude 'not easy to be satisfied', etc those inspire me most! Couldn't believe that he is now passed away, i wish i could met him few years back then, and let him brainstorming me with his words and acts!
Steve Jobs was an amazing inventor. He changed the world so much, for example, by inventing the iPhone, the laptop, the iMac and much more. At one point in the book, he lost his company, Apple, and created a whole new company. Later, he was able to get Apple back and kept creating new things. Steve did everything he could to make technology more advanced. I have benefited from many of his inventions because I enjoy using my iPhone and iPad. I think this book would be perfect for all ages and especially for people who like technology.
This is a very well written Biography about Steve Jobs. It explains his early life and later life in full detail. It also talks about his many great achievements in life. It talks about family and friends, where he lived, and where he went to school. Their is no doubt that Steve Jobs was a genius. This book really shows you that.
This is a young adult version of the life of Steve Jobs.
It looks at all the major events in his life, including meeting Steve Wozniak, the Homebrew Computer Club, Xerox Parc, the Apple I, the Macintosh, being thrown out of Apple, NeXt, Pixar, returning to Apple, the Ipod, the Ipad and the Iphone.
This book is very much recommended for all young people who want to know why Steve Jobs was so important. It is equally recommended for adults who want a quick, and easy to read, biography, but who don't want to attempt the "official" biography.
This book i believe is for everyone especially for ones with big dreams. It tells every bit of his life; where he grew up, what a trouble maker he was when he was a child, what he had done before and when he was working in apple and many more. This book also tells from every possible perspective of him, i could say (mostly good), how he had thought differently in ways no one had ever thought before in his time. In short he is a true visionare and always finds ways to improve. After reading this book i could say that he is equally as amazing as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Alexander Graham Bell and many other great scientists. This is because he always keeps a concept that technology itself isn't good enough but it has to be married with liberal arts and humaities to make our hearts sing. As i saw the book cover i wasn't interested but ever since i read through the first two pages i fell in love with it and frequently read it at almost all the spare time i have. Now he has been my inspiration i hope that as you read through the following pages he'll be yours to.
Membaca buku ini seolah tak pernah berhenti berdecak kagum atas kekeren-an Jobs.
Steve Jobs is the creater of Apple. He wanted to make new phones, computers, and ipods for Apple but he got fired. So the he started working for Pixar and met his biological mother and his sister. Then he went back to Apple because they weren't doing as good without him. After that Steve starting making new products for Apple and making it a big success.
Steve Jobs wanted to give technology to the people but all the companys said this is imposible, even his own company said that. So he got fierd and his company apple where going down without him. Then they begged him to come back and he revolutionised the tech industry.
Steve Jobs was a pretty fascinating person. As someone who works with technology, I think I enjoyed the history of Apple more than knowing about Steve's personal life. Interesting book.
