If you're like me, you read a cookbook and it calls for unfamiliar ingredients and you think, "How do I pick out the best ones?" Kind of like the esoteric thumping of the watermelon. Kasma Loha-Unchit takes the mystery out of Thai cooking better than any other asian cookbook I've found. It's unusual to find a cookbook that you enjoy just reading, but she's also pulled that off.

Even if you never pick up a wok in your life, you will enjoy reading this book.

A wonderful cookbook. Even before the first recipe, there are sections about culture, ingredients, techniques, and equipment. Recipes have cooking tips and Notes and Pointers.
