The Citadel is Everywhere

Rate this book
The Citadel is Everywhere is a collection of about 90 photographs taken in Romania, India, Turkey, Sweden, Latvia, and elsewhere. The work tells a story about alienation and makes a journey through cities of the world following a person—or a shadow, or a dream, or an idea—which becomes less and less tangible as it slips from memory.

The Citadel is Everywhere is a collection of about 90 photos I took between 2007 and 2011, bookended by a short story cobbled together by journal entries written during those trips.

I traveled extensively in those years through Europe and Asia, as well as within the USA, in search of something I had lost.

I hope that you will find something meaningful in this book -- it is a deeply personal and confessional work that (I think) expresses both the desolation and the joy of solitude.
