Being permitted to have only one guppy, fish-lover Elizabeth makes due until the crazy day when her dreams come true and sea creatures of all shapes and sizes, including trout, eels, and triggerfish, begin to pop out of the faucet and suddenly fill up the entire house!
Elizabeth loves fish. She wishes she could have fish of her own, but her parents aren’t keen on the idea, so she’s a regular at the aquarium. Until the day fish start popping out the bathroom faucet! After a few days, her house is filled with fish bowls, but her parents don’t even notice. Until the day a baby beluga pops out of the bathtub faucet! It crashes through the floor, and it’s discovered that the pipes are jammed with fish, and the only thing to do is flood the house and let all the fish out. This is a cute twist on parents not listening to children (and they learn their lesson at the end), and pairs nicely with Clara and Asha, the new picture book by Eric Rohmann. The illustrations are soft and have muted colors, but there are plenty of them. The fish look better than the humans do, but the focus is on the fish. Layout is good, making this a relatively easy read-aloud.
Elizabeth loves fish! Her parents will let her have only one. When all varieties of fish start appearing out of the faucet, Elizabeth must find a way to care for all of them...especially since her parents are clueless. When a beluga whale drops from the ceiling, it is time to make a move....
A very imaginative story of a little girl who really loves fish. Her parents - who don't listen to her very well - will only let her have one fish. But one day, fish start coming out of the faucet in her bathroom. As the story progresses the parents learn the valuable lesson of listening carefully to what your child is saying.
