Being a geologist, I love archaeology of the Bible. This book focuses on archaeology of the book Exodus. It is chalk full of lots of photos of artifacts from that time period. This is nice to have handy so you can learn about the culture of that day and possibly what their world looked like then.

Excellent resource for the student of Scripture. The historical evidence is presented for the actual route of the Exodus from Egypt and the location of Mount Sinai.
Very detailed. It is hard to see the maps and charts on the kindle book, for this reason I would recommend the paper version, especially if you are a note taker
Fascinating book! Its like Indiana Jones wrote a book about the history of the Jews. It’s dense, but worth working through. The premise: if two million people left ancient Egypt and travelled in the desert for 40 years, there has to be archeological evidence to support that, even 3,500 years later. While written by a hobby archeologist, his conclusions are a delight. He works in Imhotep, Tutankhamen and other historical events that fit nicely into the story of the Jews. Completely worth reading. But don’t take my word for it. Read the book and decide for yourself if the stories of the Bible present a historically accurate narrative. When you’re done reading, it’s hard to come to any other conclusion than that the oldest books of the Bible are true.
I expected a more of detailed summary of what happened. The Israelites coming out of Egypt. I believe that this largely relied on Don Wyatt noted and all this collective videos. I believe that what was described the Red Sea Crossing need more describing of the crossing like a bridge, all the bones, chariots, and beaches looks like it burn on one side. Still an intriguing book.
