All night, all day, angels watching over... me? Do angels really interact with us? Are they truly messengers of God to show His love, to protect, to convict, to guide? If so, how do angels impact your life? There are so many misconceptions about angels, and yet the Bible has account after account of their purpose and role. Here you will find answers to questions What do angels look like? Do they walk among us? Do I really have a “guardian angel”? How can I recognize an angel? In this comprehensive guide to all-things-angels, pastor, speaker, and best-selling author Robert J. Morgan teaches us that, yes, angels do exist—and they are active in the affairs of humankind. With solid biblical references and story after real-life story, Rev. Morgan confirms angelic activity in the lives of everyday people—like you and me. "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." -Hebrews 13:2
Since this is the time of Jesus Christ's birth, I thought it was the perfect time to review a great book on Angels by Robert Morgan! This provides a detailed account of a variety of encounters with God's heavenly messengers and takes us through the Bible to show not only their purpose, creation but what they mean in the lives of believers.
Since reading a variety of books on the market about angels, this one really captured my heart because I love reading about true life encounters that others have had with angels. This book does exactly that along with showcases recorded Biblical examples of how angels have appeared in the New and Old Testament books and what role they will also play in Jesus' second coming. Whether the examples in the story are actual angelic encounters only the people involved have an idea but they do seem to follow the examples the Bible uses. Not only are they messengers of God's news or prophecy fulfillment, but they aid in caring for the believers as well, they encourage when we are in need, help protect or warn us in times of trouble, and even carry us to our heavenly home when we die.
Angels were also present at the proclamation of Jesus' birth to the shepherds and offered wisdom and advice to both Joseph and Mary before he was born. The Bible states that some have even entertained angels in the forms of strangers without knowing it and we know throughout Bible history that angels have been present during battles of God's people.
I received this book Angels by Robert Morgan compliments of Thomas Nelson Publishers for my honest review along with Net Galley and think this would make the perfect give this Christmas season. I rate this one a 5 out of 5 heavenly stars!
Angels is an excellent resource on angels as Mr. Morgan takes not only anecdotal evidence into consideration, but has also matched and brought forth angel appearances in the Bible. From there, he sets forth somewhat of a guideline.
