This book details all aspects of self-injury, from different types, motivations, and triggers to scientific dissections, case studies and treatments. The language is common enough for laypeople but doesn't dumb it down. Wonderful both for research and helping those who self-harm.

Dry & textbook-y (as expected), but very informative. Good, detailed interventions given.

love this book, I’m writing an essay about wound care in the context of deliberate self harm and this book is a godsend for many aspects of self injury. Amazing that I could access it freely on the internet archive also. I can see myself coming back to this book many times throughout my career. recommend.
