FBI Forensic Services The successful investigation and prosecution of crimes require, in most cases, the collection, preservation, and forensic analysis of evidence. While this was full of procedural information, I advise people read the most recent version if using it for a current time frame. I got this as a free download for research as it was an older publication. Thankfully the lack of up to date info won't hamper what I needed it for. In fact it probably helps (writing a crime story set in 1990s). There were quite a few illustrations and detailed info on collecting and analysing evidence as well as the different analytical sections of the FBI and how they can be utilised by general law enforcement. There was also a good table on packaging material to be sent to the FBI. All in all, I was relatively pleased with this info as it suits my purpose.
