Interesting and unusual romance with Scott the shy awkward geeky office worker finally getting a chance to kiss the popular and hunky Devlin with surprising results. It was lovely a sequel would be very welcome!
Ok, I want more! This was a really cool idea, and since I thought "Groundhog Day" was good, this was my kind of story, but...why, how, what....more!!!! :)
This was a surprisingly clever book for the length. I really enjoyed the premise and it was perfect for a short. I don't think this concept would have worked for a longer book.
This was a really cute little story. I've read a couple of reviews that commented on the concept not working for more than just a short and I agree, but for 15 pages it was clever and poignant.
This was an interesting story. The MC is living in a world where time froze at 9:05 in the morning and he's the only one still moving about. I loved the movie Groundhog Day and really enjoy stories that deal with similar themes. Sadly it's very short so there's no real explanation as to what happened but it is a sweet, easy read. And as an added bonus it's free.
Creative, clever short story. I loved not knowing how this was going to turn out until the end. Great writing, excellent character development. I understood exactly where Scott was coming from and loved watching him gain confidence when he thought there was no risk.
I've come from writing in a fandom where time shifts and loops are the norm so I was looking forward to reading this!
While I liked the concept, I think it was too big of an undertaking for such a short read. There was no explanation for the sudden freezing of time, no repercussions after time apparently continued to tick over even with everyone frozen for two weeks. (I kept wondering how they dealt with toileting issues and thinking that they must have stunk after two weeks with no shower.) The others were obviously aware on some level as they had all absorbed what Scott was saying and doing in some way so what are the consequences of them suddenly feeling this connection that wasn't there before. There were just too many unanswered questions for me.
Should the author expand this, though, and make it a novella or novel, I'll be first in the line with my cash in hand. The characterisation of Scott was great, the writing was good and tight, and the plot was imaginative. Burn just didn't have the space to explore the concept as thoroughly as I would have liked.

This was a cute short story. Sort of a cross between Groundhogs Day and I Am Legend (minus the zombies). It has one of those open ending where things have finally just worked out for our MC and start looking up, so it'd be nice to have a follow up and see how he's doing later on.
This was a cute short where time just stops unexpectedly & with no explanation one day for introvert Scott Taylor. He's the only person who is still moving around, everyone else is frozen in time. So in order to keep himself sane, he pokes around the office attempting to get to know his co-workers. Especially his crush Devlin.
Very interesting story about time standing still and what one would do if they were stuck at work for weeks with everyone else frozen. Thought it was an interesting concept but for a short story, there wasn't much opportunity to explain the why or how of it all.
Interesting short story. I'm very curious about why the time stopped. And I thought it'd be funny to see everyone wondering about the vending machines suddenly being so much emptier, etc.... Scott was a sweet guy. I was very happy for him at the end. :)
Very interesting short story about a guy who is the only one still moving when time stands still. Reminded me of an episode of The Twilight Zone. Loved the ending!
