Tommy Cooper has just turned 21 and is getting his first exposure to the gay club scene when he meets Darren Maguire, a go-go dancer. Not only is Darren about the hottest guy that Tommy has ever seen, but he also has an identical twin brother named Michael who is also a dancer. Things quickly heat up for Tommy and Darren, but Michael doesn’t exactly approve. Michael is more serious and wishes his brother Darren would focus more on his education. When Michael meets the man of his dreams, however, he begins to understand the power of romance. Both of the twins become embroiled in relationships which are sure to affect their future, but in the party environment of a dance club, can any such relationship last? And what of the parade of hot guys that constantly come in and out of their lives? Only time will tell if Tommy has actually met the man of his dreams or if he’s simply allowed himself to be swept up by a passing sensation…a Twinsation.

Jeff began writing stories in the late 1990's and initially posted them to a free online amateur website. I just finished reading Jeff Enro's newest book. It really is true that gay men have a huge fascination with identical twins. As the son of a twin married to the son of a twin, the subject of twins holds a special interest for me. Also, the first time I ever fell in love it was with a pair of identical twins who were one grade ahead of me. Those guys were blond-haired, blue-eyed visions of loveliness.
The subject of twins scares off a lot of readers and writers, so I'm delighted that such a good writer tackled the subject and did such a good job with the story. The characters were good, the story was well-crafted, and I loved the way he wrapped it all up at the end. This one was hot (kept me hard for most of the time I was reading it).
I have to admit that I took one look at the title and cover and thought, "Twincest!" but it's not. While Twinsational is hot and has sweet moments (some of my favorite things!), and there was an agsty moment or two (also one of my favorite things!), the best part of the book for me is that the characters spoke and acted like real people. Real people make mistakes, they're fickle, they fall hard and fast, then realize it wasn't love, only infatuation. In short, this was a nice, short romp that I couldn't put down. I wanted to smack Darren around a bit, but I have a feeling Michael will do that for me. And in the end Tommy's happy, I'm happy, everyone else is happy, so maybe Darren can go unsmacked. (Okay, maybe he still deserves a little thwap upside the head.)
I really, really loved the last scene with Michael. It made me love him all the more.
A nice, satisfying read, perfect for when you've had a hard day and just want to curl up with a hot, steamy story that leaves you with a smile on your face and saying, "Awwww...."
Umm....Mr. Erno? How about some more Michael and Brandon, purdy please?
I am a such a fan girl for all of Jeff’s books. He is the creator of one of my fave series of all time. So when the review request for Twinsational came in, there was no way in hell I was going to say no. This exciting story possesses the quality that makes it a Jeff Erno novel, but it had a different feel from his previous books.
Tommy is shy, and somewhat nerdish. He gets a job at a club, which he feels is way out of league because it’s all filled with hotties. On his first day, he meets twin Darren and Michael, also having their first day as dancers at the club. Tommy is instantly attracted to both, but only one has him thinking he might be the one. Darren and Tommy begin a sexual relationship, much to Tommy’s surprise, because he can’t believe the hot as hell go go dancer is attracted to his bookish ole self.
Meanwhile Darren’s twin Michael is getting some undivided attention by a customer and Michael is enjoying the attention. His fan is handsome, good-looking, and seems to have money judging by the big bills he’s placing in his teeny tiny shorts. Michael is wondering if there can be something more, when theres no twinkling club lights and gyrating bodies.
While Darren and Michael are the focus, shedding light on their differences in both personality and relationships. However, I found this book to be the Tommy show and his discovery into sex and how sometimes love knocks you down. He gets lost in the intensity between him and Darren, and realizes that he might be invested but he can’t say the same for the sexy twin. Is it love? or could it all just be lust in disguise.
I have always had strong reactions to Jeff’s book, but this one takes the cake. I was utterly devastated at the end of it, and if weren’t reading it on my iPad things could have gotten ugly. I was thrown a curve ball I never saw coming and it broke my wee little heart. I broke down in serious tears, because I was like What.The.Bloody.Fecking.Feck! I know sometimes a little realism in books is a good thing, and you gotta go through trash to find your treasure and all that, but I was not impressed because I was invested in the characters who I thought would be a couple. Jeff sunk my ship, and then threw in a lifesaver *I don’t like the lifesaver*.
Overall, I really liked this one regardless of my strong feelings. It’s the books that make you feel that deserves all the praises and once again, Mr Erno provided another winner.
*grumbles* one that has me depressed and all sad =_=
Everything was going good with this book right up until the threesome. Then there was only 1 word for Michael and Darren, b******. I abhor chesting in the books I read. I really wanted them to get their comeuppance for it but no. Brandon, Michael's boyfriend forgives him and Tommy, Darren's boyfriend gets chucked by Michael, ( don't understand that scene at all). At least Tommy does find his HEA with Deejay.
Had the potential to be really good, unfortunately Darren ruined it for me. To be fair, I really liked the first 3/4's of the book, it was the last portion that left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention I thought it ended rather quickly/conveniently.
If you think life is complicated when you're a shy but cute college student starting a new job as a bar-boy in one of the most popular go-go-dancer gay bars in New Orleans then you have no idea how complicated it can become when you see that two of the new dancers are identical hot muscled twins who are apparently gay--and one of them seems attracted to you.
Tommy Cooper is that student and Darren Maguire is the twin who's attracted to him in this first of a series that is a bit of fluff but also a lot of heat and considerable charm. The head bartender at The Men's Room, Deejay (another hottie but a bit older than Tommy) takes him under his wing, but it's Darren who takes his pants down. Meanwhile, Darren's brother, Michael, gets turned on by a hunky business suited customer, Brandon, a hot, rich lawyer, and they develop their own relationship.
This book sets a tone for a thoroughly delightful series which develops characters fully and squeezes enough plot lines into the narrative as can be plausible without going too much over the top. There's even a three-way thrown in here along the way, but enough said about that one here--read it and prepare your jaw to drop.
This one sets the tone, and the milieu, for the other two which follow and you will be stunned at the way it ends--Jeff Erno has a way of throwing you a big fat curve in all his books, and this one comes right across the plate as well. Have fun!
First I would like to say Thank You to Babes in Boyland (Piper & MJ) and also Jeff Erno for the giveaway...I was the lucky winner! :)
I´ve read a few of Jeff Erno´s books and I was pleasantly surprise to see that Twinsational is different. That cover art is to die for! Who doesn´t have the twin brothers fantasy, right? The story line is original, I love the brothers specially Michael. How sweet can he be? I wanted to kill Darren. But then, if you think about it, it wasn´t his fault, he just took advantage of a situation. And I was desperately hoping for a HEA for Tommy. And it totally makes sense that his HEA was right in front of him. JE can´t help himself and there is a bit of drama thrown in but nothing like his other titles. Don’t get me started on the sex scenes *phew* let´s just say the boy can write hot, intimate, sweet love :) Downside: it was short, too short. Let´s hope The Men's Room Series brings us more sexy short stories soon.
A good fun read. Erotic fiction at it's best. Tommy begins work in a local club "The Men's Room" and meets Darren, a gogo boy who works there with his Twin Brother Michael. They begin a passionate relationship straight away but neither is sure it is what they really want. Meanwhile Michael is enjoying a fling with a client from the club and hopes that it can become more serious.
