After sharing her own story in Haunted , Dorah L. Williams compiles first-hand accounts of the spiritual encounters of others.
Upon writing The Incredible True Story of a Canadian Family’s Experience Living in a Haunted House , Dorah thought her situation was unique. What she didn’t realize was how many others would relate to how it feels to be haunted, too. After being flooded by emails from people with similar experiences, Dorah began to realize this wasn’t uncommon at all. It seemed these paranormal happenings were universal — in all areas, within all age groups, and among all walks of life. So, Haunted Too came to be. Not only will it entertain the reader, as good ghost stories always have, but it will also help the reader to better understand this phenomenon, with the inclusion of shared experiences, opinions, and advice of professionals in this field. Whether fear-provoking or poignant, these collective supernatural encounters are directly quoted in their own words by those who have experienced them first-hand, and are enlightening as well as entertaining.
If you like ghost stories Haunted Too will make your pulse quicken, and you'll find this book hard to put down. It's a fascinating read that will stay on your mind well after you’ve finished it. A must have for any paranormal enthusiast!!
The first half of the book was a collection of the personal experiences of regular people with the paranormal. The second half was dull and repetitive: "ghost hunters" talking about their equipment and techniques and each one warning not to ever use a Ouija board. Yeah, we get it. Why do we need an entire chapter of the same warning over and over from all the different ghost hunters and "psychics" interviewed? It was like the author needed filler to hit a page quota. The entire book should have been all personal recollections. Those were extremely interesting to me. At the end, readers were invited to submit their own stories to the author's website for her next book, but the site is gone and it's been 10 years with no new book, so...🤷🏻♂️ It had potential.
I read this to my teens for some spooky October fun. Most of the stories are sincere and good; nothing too outrageous. There's a handful of ridiculous ones that contradict themselves. The experiences of mediums towards the end were interesting. The author clarifies that most spirits are benevolent and therefore not ghosts or hauntings, just souls lingering by that used to inhabit a place or care for the people they visit.
My kids were interested by the "expert" testimonials at the ends advising to steer clear of ouija boards and seances because you may get ugly energies you haven't bargained for whereas most spirits naturally occurring are good ones.
