A cute pastiche of two iconic properties…

Wookiee the Chew by James Hance and Max Michaels was a children’s book that came out MANY years ago back during my comic days. Along with the short story there was also a lot of other art out covering other characters (including some not in this story) that represent the Star Wars/Winnie the Pooh merger.

The art is cute, the story is fun for kids (though I’m not sure how many kids even then would know the Winnie the Pooh written stories), and it’s a fun little time…

I nabbed a black and white paperback edition of this talented artist years ago and very happy that I did. The story is adorable and the art is wonderfully done. If you ever get the chance to own this, do it.

I love the creative imagining that went into this story. Plus, my son is finally at the age where he wants to sit and read longer stories, and this was a perfect transition to that!
