This is a very nice and beautiful book which shows world maps and how they changed through history and why in a very concise way.

All of the Usborne atlases are worth owning. The pictures are vibrant and add so much to student learning. As well, the atlases are tied to internet links where you can go to learn even more. A writing extension could be creating graphic organizers to compare and contrast the information learned.
