Elsewhere, Vampire Royal rule is being challenged and Katrina's world is torn apart by more than one loss. Devastated by betrayal so close to her Katrina now questions everything in her life and the tension between Quinn and Damien comes to a head after a secret is revealed that will change all of their lives forever.
I grew up in a small northern Minnesotan town married my high school sweetheart, had two beautiful children and as soon as we could we moved to a warmer climate. I have worked with my husband building and decorating custom homes for years. After loving every kind of vampire book, movie and series I decided that I wanted to know more. I can write a book I thought, how hard can that be? Well.... But I stuck to it and finished my first book Royal Blood Chronicles Book One in August 2009. I now have ten books and three novellas in the Royal Blood Chronicles, two in Phantom Lives, three in the adult dystopian Pathogen series, two in h thriller/mystery series Silken Ties, with Corporate Ties and Thorns of Revenge and 25 books in total. My parents always told me that I could do anything that I wanted, work hard, study and do it right. I believe that and live that way every day.
I started writing this new vampire series for teens and their moms because I myself wanted something different to read. I was tired of all the modern versions of vampire books, there had to be more to these long lived beings. Where had they been what had they seen? I wanted, no I NEEDED to know more so Royal Blood Chronicles was born! As in Royal Blood Chronicles, Phantom Lives features strong female characters and action and adventure mixed with romance, friendship and a historical backdrop
Where the last book was my favorite, this one is my least favorite. I feel as if the men acted out of character, especially Quinn, the person we had come to know, couldn't possibly have inflicted that much pain on the woman he supposedly loves. I can understand her father making these decisions for everyone and their safety.
I am a fan of Elizabeth Loraine's story building. In fact, I think she was one of the very first Indie authors I read. Through her amazing writing, she opened me to a whole world of amazing novelists.
Author Elizabeth Loraine once again delivers a beautifully woven tale about her Blood Chronicle characters. With a fast paced plot, her characters have matured and continue to fascinate the reader with their depth and development. After the first chapter - I was hooked and couldn't pull myself away from my kindle. (Forget about cooking dinner, doing laundry, going to work - you will want to keep reading!)
You will feel torn with the decisions that need to be made and with the heartbreak Katrina and the others feel. So, as you sit down, grab your tissue box and have it handy! With all of your favorite characters being pushed to their limits, the same action and compassion that have made the Blood Chronicles hugely popular will not dissapoint! Is it her narrative drive? Her attention to details? The layers she has built in her characters? I don't really know - my guess - she has mastered her skill and is a very talented author. As you become enthralled by Loraine's world building, the hours will fly past as you read.
I promise you this - the ending is rewarding and you will not want to miss out!
Well I'm invested in this series so I can't back out now... There are things I absolutely love about every book but this was just all over the place and I HATE that once again we don't get to have Quinn and Katrina together... Doesn't make sense if you've read the earlier books. Its a good series but extremely frustrating as well. I would recommend till this whole series is complete before reading it, maybe that will make all of the craziness easier to bear.
I must say that the royal blood chronicles series has been a joy to read, the books are nicely long, very well written and each is a true page Turner in its own right. I hope the saga continues. Please contact me the minute a new book is OUT!kim32e@Aol.com
It was quite abit different from the other books in the series. I liked it but was hard getting to know 6 new characters when you are used to certain few in 5 other books.
This book made me cry, p*ssed me off, made me smile... and made my family think I was nuts while I was reading it. It is literally everything a book should be.
