Bisexuality: The Psychology and Politics of an Invisible Minority

Rate this book
This volume fills a gap in the literature on the subject of bisexuality and provides an insight into and clarification of this emerging paradigm shift in sexual orientation studies. The interdisciplinary range of contributors agree that, given recognition and validity, bisexuality has the explanatory power to illuminate many of those elements of sexual orientation and sexual identity which have, to date, remained unexplored.

Although this was very well written and informative, I found it a bit bland and at times offensive to myself as a bisexual woman. I started dabbing into bisexual literature to get a better understanding of myself and why so many things in this world bother me. Although this book helped clear a handful of the issues out, it added that many more to my pet peeves that I didn't even realize existed. To be fair this is a very well written academic piece of literature, and I would have devoured it had i been assigned by one of my critical sexuality professors, but i must confess it was hard to get through as pleasure read.
Despite what I thought about this particular book, I enjoyed the author's though process and am going to give one of her other books a shot.
