Two men. One roof. Who knew togetherness could be so dangerously tempting?
Korbin is looking for a renter to help make ends meet. Not quite ready to make the offered room a squatter's paradise with a public ad, he advertises by word of mouth. Turns out he's doing it at just the right time.
Cage is relocating for a new job and needs a no-hassle place to live. He's wary about sharing space with a total stranger, but the opportunity to be able to start at his new job without this stress is too good to pass up.
Except one of them is hiding a secret identity and his past has taught him to not talk about it. Friendship brings the men closer, but will the secrets they both carry keep them from exploring a deeper attraction between them?
Diana DeRicci is the sexy, flirty pen name of Diana Castilleja. A romance author at heart, DeRicci’s writing takes you into a saucier spectrum of sensuality and sexual adventure, where a happily-ever-after is still the key to any story.
Diana lives in Central Texas with her husband, one son and a feisty little Chihuahua named Rascal.
This short story is pretty sweet; it's about two guys living under one roof (one is the landlord, the other one is the renter) not knowing that each other is gay. Korbin, the landlord, is an adorable klutz :). He's a sci-fi author who also writes gay erotica in another pen name. Cage (the renter) is a cop who loses his lover before. Interestingly, I need to re-read few paragraphs a couple of times to get information about Cage being a cop. Somehow when I first read it, I don't get the vibe that Cage is a cop #justsayin'
I think my favorite scene will be when Cage reads that gay erotica that Korbin writes, without Korbin knowing. It's pretty cute, because Cage thinks that Korbin only writer sci-fi stories before. Wonder how those scenes work on Cage's libido *lol*.
The last chapter seems to be written slightly in the future; I wish that there's pointer in that because it throws me a bit. Just a pointer like, "A month later" or something will be nice.

Korbin, a writer of sci-fi fiction and steamy gay romance, even if that part is a secret! :) Cage is the new cop in town and looking for a place to stay so it works out well that Korbin is renting out the top floor of his house. This is a cute, sweet short !
A sweet story about a cop and a writer nice romance between the main characters. Korbin was a cutie with his accident prone nature and Cage was the right man to come along and shake things up a bit which they both needed.
for some reason, I had to re-read a couple of pages at the beginning because I got mixed up in who was doing what, but once I caught the rhythm, I really enjoyed the book! It was sweet, short, involved a writer with a slight penchant for accidents/stumbling about, and the policeman who stole his heart

This is an enjoyable shorter story about second chances and taking a chance on love. Both Korbin and Cage have secrets and past hurts to overcome. Luckily their secrets happen to be compatible. A bit of angst, but a sweet ending.
Such a completely sweet and lovable short story. Aww! I just want to hug them. Both guys were sweet, the writing was better than most of what I’ve been exposed to recently, and the focus was on the right things. <3
Oh my.....Korbin and Cage were so hot even for a short story and no real sex scene...This book was so well written considering how short it was....It would make an amazing full length novel or at least double the size...A look into Korbin and his clumsiness and Cage and his protectiveness.....Great read and will look forward to reading more from this author x
Sweet short read. Would love to see more of Korbin and his clumsiness, like walking into walls, falling off ladders. And of course find out how his books are selling. Watching Cage grow in this new town, wish this was longer.
Good short m/m romance about a writer who rents out part of his house to a cop newly moved to the area. Neither is aware the other is gay as they mutually lust after each other.
Really well written short romance between Cage and Korbin. The emotions between both main characters were warm and romantic. I liked this shorty, even if it was a bit to easy.
Aw, this was really cute! Small, sweet and un-rushed. Just the way I love 'em! (when I'm in the mood for shorts, that is). Diana DeRicci, how I love your writing.
A bit too shallow & fluffy for my tastes ... no real character development with a bit too much telling & not enough showing ... toss in insta-love & I was left underwhelmed.
