Mark A. Yarhouse is a professor of psychology and the director of the Institute for the Study of Sexual Identity at Regent University. He is also part of a group practice in the Virginia Beach area, providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling. Dr. Yarhouse received his PsyD from Wheaton College and has worked collaboratively on a number of books. He and his family live in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

I can identify with those who ask, "I am a Christian. I love God. I want my life, my discipleship, my stewardship to glorify and please the Lord. In my blog about same-sex attractions, this is the third title by Dr. Mark Yarhouse featured. It has been most influential in helping me reconcile my sexual identity with my Christian faith. Laying out principles and options that can steer one in the right direction, practical ways to conceptualize and manage our sexual identity and what it means for our families and churches to "serve the image of God in all persons" are the core themes. A great resource for individuals contending with homosexual inclinations and the people who care about them.
