The Ultimate Intention

Rate this book
This book will unfold God's Word in a brand-new light. The message of this book does not follow the traditional, the modern evangelical, or fundamental approach. There are keys herein that can unlock the truth and bring divine transformation and power to the inner life. I say "can," but I do not guarantee such experience. The great spiritual work in any life is God's to do; it is His sovereign prerogative. To the readers, I recommend slow and careful study of the entire text. Evaluate and properly apply the meaning of words newly used in connection with divine relationships. Revolution is neither cheap nor simple. You are in for the "inner battle of your life." May God give His people grace to apprehend this great truth. [From the Introduction by H.J. Stanley]

I read THE ULTIMATE INTENTION during the month of June 2024. It was interesting to read how Fromke viewed the church in 1962 (the date of publication). Several events hadn't happened: the assassination of JFK, the Viet Nam war, the assassinations of RFK and MLK, Watergate...and on and on. I grew up in a Baptist church. The truths presented here were never taught. The general message was get saved and then live the Christian life as best you could. It was many years later that I started attending a church that taught these truths (for the most part). It is still true, as delineated by Fromke, that many Believers are primarily interested in what God can do for them, rather than who they are for God. I will definitely be reviewing the principles taught in THE ULTIMATE INTENTION. It is an important book for every Believer.

Devern Fromke does not need my 5 star review but alas he will get my 5 star review !!! Talk about some seriously deep love for Jesus, a holy and obedient life, and being faithful to the call and purpose that God has for him !! sheesh !!!!!!

Obviously I love Fromke, but I also really loved this book. Genuinely wept several times while reading it. Fromke brilliantly illustrates God’s “ultimate intention” to have a bride for his Son as a metaphorical concept established throughout all of scripture, but also a spiritual reality for all believers that allows us to live in a way that prepares us to be apart of the bride of Christ !!!!! like what !!!! amen Devern !!!!

A must read for everyone who is ready to see HIM!

What a glorious revelation of the eternal purposes of God the Father, through His son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Over 25 years ago, this truly changed my life and mission, no longer to live unto myself, but wholly unto Him. Let your prayer be, “open my eyes to see Him…” My all time favorite God-centered book.

Good read

This author has amazing insights. I have never considered this point of view. God's ultimate intention, deep. I liked how he looked at the Old Testament as well
