Jodi thought he got over on Sabrina, but he had another thing coming...
Jodi views himself as the upper echelon of Black men. Smart, successful, educated, and incredibly wealthy. He's got cars, clothes, and women, but that's where his problems begin. While he's supposed to be faithful to his longtime girlfriend, Sabrina, he figures what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
Sabrina put her trust in Jodi when he moved her and her three-year-old son, Na'Vey, into his house. Little did she know, Jodi had a lot of secrets and he wasn't the man she signed up to be with.
Jodi feels like he has the upper hand and there's nothing Sabrina can do about his philandering ways.
But what Jodi doesn't seem to realize is that he might be a player, but even the King on a chessboard knows the Queen controls the moves.
Daddy's Home is a gripping and page turning Urban Drama about a man who has it all but realizes it a little too late.
I am so happy that Sabrina got her happily ever after. Lord knows she went through enough bs to last a lifetime. Deonte was a straight Dog with a capital “D” He didn’t give a damn about no one but himself. He came along and sabotage to long friendships but then again if they were Sabrina’s friend they never would have sunk so low. Jodi got what he deserved in my book. You can not play with people’s feelings and expect them to just accept everyone is not geared that way. Glad Jodi’s mom was able to receive his estate because even though he was no good she still can reap reparations from how he and his father treated her although she still lost her son. Glad Juanetta and Sabrina remained friends I am glad Shalice and Casey as well as Deonte got what they deserved each other and a lifetime of drama. I think Deonte is just getting in where he fit in and it seemed as if he slightly regretted what he had done but still a dog will be a dog. I would love to see how that triangle ended up…lol all in all a great read and I look forward to reading more from this author!!! Good job Daisy Savage!!
Really good debut. This is my second book by this author. I’m apparently reading out-of-order 🤓📖 It kept me intrigued and wanting to hear what would happen next. Looking forward to the read.
This book wasted no time getting into it. Jodi is an entire hot mess! And he needed a reality check. Sabrina was a smooth one. Jodi played in her face and her response was perfect! I really enjoy the ride this book took me on. I was so irritated by the way Sabrina’s friends behaved but sadly there are “friends” like that in this world. She had some rough times but she handled them all and stayed focused. I loved how ppl underestimated her and she proved them wrong. The twists and turns brought laughter and suspense. Kudos to Daisy for another great read!
Daddy’s Home by Daisy Savage was MESSY from beginning to end — and I mean that in the best way possible. This book was full of betrayal, deception, toxic friendships, and even more toxic relationships.
One thing this book really highlighted was how dangerous backstabbing friends can be. Sabrina was surrounded by people who smiled in her face while secretly betraying her behind her back. Casey and Shalice were messy, deceptive, and jealous in their own ways, proving that sometimes the people closest to you can do the most damage. But I also appreciated that Sabrina had that one true friend who genuinely had her back through all the chaos. In a story filled with fake love and fake friendships, that loyalty stood out.
Jodi definitely FAFO’d. He spent so much time thinking he could manipulate people and play with women’s feelings without consequences, and it all blew up in his face exactly how it should have. Deonte was just a straight deadbeat with no loyalty and a penchant for sleeping around. Casey was a deceptive b*tch, and Shalice was jealous, messy, and just as deceptive. Honestly, all four of them got exactly what they deserved.
And Shakita? That woman was CRAZY. She caused so much chaos that it was frustrating she managed to get away with her crimes because she absolutely deserved consequences too.
Through all the drama, I was happy Sabrina finally got her HEA after everything she endured. She deserved peace after being surrounded by so many toxic people.
Overall, this book was pure drama, mess, betrayal, and karma. If you like urban fiction filled with toxic relationships, fake friends, revenge, and characters getting exposed, Daddy’s Home will definitely keep your attention.

This plot was moving at Tubi Premium speeds. Daddy’s Home by Daisy Savage This book said normal conflict absolutely not. We’re choosing chaos immediately.
Jodi truly believed he had life figured out. Successful, money flowing, nice house, women lined up and somehow convinced himself that being reckless wouldn’t cost him anything. Sir history has shown us repeatedly that arrogance and secrets never stay in the house together.
Sabrina trusted this man enough to build a life with him and moved in with her son thinking she had security. Meanwhile everybody had secrets stacked on top of secrets and once one brick moved the whole wall collapsed. Sabrina stealing 400K baby that wasn’t reparations. That was the opening ceremony for the foolishness Olympics. Everybody kept making decisions that felt justified in the moment and then standing there shocked when consequences arrived wearing steel toe boots.
I don't know how many times I said WHAT is happening 😳 Shakita ma’am. Stalker behavior with confidence is a dangerous combination. Not to mention having a body odor you can't control your face but you can apply proper hygiene. Nancy dead as a squirrel on the road. Jodi’s mama was dropping warnings and nobody wanted to listen. "Best Friends" sleeping with your man.
This book was messy, dramatic, ridiculous at times and somehow still entertaining enough to keep me turning pages just to see how much worse it could possibly get. Somehow it always got worse.

I’ve learned to truly not judge books by their cover or title because this was a pleasant treat and lowkey a scandalous murder mystery. This book has me going through the motions. First I was mad, then I was laughing, and by the end, I was happy for the main character for moving on. I like how it was honestly kind of a cautionary tale about fake friends and games that men will play in relationships.
Jodi also really went off the deep end and I’m glad that there was someone who could match his dangerous energy. Overall, I do say that it feels like a cautionary tale for more than just one character. I like how things happened throughout the book, but it was overall focused on character development, and how people reacted to certain situations. I can definitely see this as like a Tubi movie.
I think it would have been nice for Yasin’s character to be developed more. To get an idea of what a good man looks like for the main character. But overall, the story was great. I’d recommend it to others. And I would read more from the author in the future.
Daddy's Home was an outstanding read. Nothing less of what I expected. The story flowed smoothly and the characters personalities shined through. That Jodi was a whole round trip! No spoilers; you will need to read to know what I'm talking about. The author painted a vivid picture of this story through her writing. I anticipated what was going to happen with the turn of each page. There were unpredictable twists in this story that took me by surprise. I have been an avid reader of this author's books for a while now she never ceases to amaze me.

I already sent a review via email but I am going to give one on here. This book right here, mannnnnnn, these characters are something else! Jodi, I am not one to disclose a lot but this dude has some serious problems. All I will say is he should have !listened to his mother! These women are a trip also. I recommend that you read this book. It will not disappoint at all!!!!
This book had me hooked from page one because of the lies, drama, and betrayal. The characters intrigued me because of how they responded to adverse situations. This is a cautionary tale to not avoid red flags, and be careful of strangers. Sabrina really knew how to pick them, lol. Everyone got what they deserved in the end. Readers who enjoy page turners, suspense, and thrillers are sure to love this read.
wow wow WOW! This was a very good book. it flowed from beginning to the end. I will say I wasn't too sure how I sould feel about this in the beginning BUT Im glad I gave it a shot and trusted the process. the FMC and the MMC both helped this dtory flow in ways naturally thay was needed for this to fall into place. I will say I was surprised the MMC got away with so much. But overall I enjoyed this book. i look forward to exploring this author's catalog.
Mannnn let me start by saying that this author never seems to amaze me with her stories. The characters were crazy an held it down. That Jodi is definitely something else an so Was Sabrina. I recommend this book to any an everyone. This book made me want to fight Jodi an Deonte for all the wrong they did.
I chooses this rating because this story rings true. Sometimes women have to put up with the frog to get through the mess. Dontae was a loser, and Jodi was a killer. Sabrina was smart and wanted her own business, which she did start with much success. She did steal money from Jodi to start over. So glad she made it and found love with Yasin
2.5 stars This was not what I expected and I was not prepared for the maddness. The story was...kind of silly. But, I still listened to the whole thing. So many people belong in the bin. There was so much maddness going on. Cheating, stealing, kidnapp, murder, bum ass baby daddy's, broke jigalow behaviour, obsessed stalker behavour. I was not expecting that at all.
All I can say is oh what a mess you make when you practice to deceive! Watch out when you mess with some one's heart! Read the book and be ready to make your head spin! WOW!
I liked the book showed that revenge is never good. You have to think real hard about the consequences. The Bible says that vengeance belongs to God. This book shows that this is true.
This is my first read by this author and I must say she did not disappoint! Loved me some Sabrina even though she was wrong in what she did to Jodi…(don’t want to give the story line away) Jodi was something else! Sleeping with any and everything until he met his match with the stalker!
This is the first book I've read from this author and I will absolutely read more. I don't like leaving spoilers in my reviews. I love when a book has an actual ending and doesn't leave you with questions. The entire book was wild and I loved it.
Good job young lady 👏🏾 looking forward to your next book. Book started off boring to me; every time I tried to stop reading it, something happened drawing my interest to the story. Before I knew it started enjoying the story.
This book was good. Jodi was too cocky and thought he was untouchable and he could do what he wanted. Sabrina went through a whole lot. Her friends wasn't true friends and her men wasn't either until the end when she finally found true love.
And if Jodi would’ve just listened to his mama & let this foolishness go it would’ve been all good. As much as he wanted to be the man he acted like a b****! Just couldn’t let stuff go & now here we are smh
Jodi and Sabrina her friends was wrong. Sabrina could have lost her life behind something she didn't know about. Shan lady got off to easy. Happy for Sabrina and Jodi mom
Wow, what a journey for Sabrina in Chile! She faced so many challenges, but in the end, she rose victorious! It’s thrilling to see her emerge on top, and even better that those who wronged her didn’t succeed. What an inspiring turn of events!
