Pam wants a pumpkin for Halloween, and the one she finds is rather small.
That's it.
A simple little reader for kids, with the emphasis on simple.
Side note: While logging this book, I discovered that part of the reason the story is so simple is that my edition is an abridged version. The 16-page booklet printed in 2000 that was gifted to my daughter by an elementary school teacher in 2006 omits 14 pages of story and illustrations from the original 1999 version that show the little girl making more preparations for Halloween and make it clear that the family goes to a retail pumpkin patch instead of one in their back yard.
This Halloween story is made for a young toddler age child but was really cute and I enjoyed reading it to my children. This is definitely a book that if you are in the process of teaching your child to read would definitely be of use to you . where there is only a few words per page and they're quite simple words along with a list of words you learn at the very beginning of the story.
Not a lot to say about this book. It was about a girl who found a tiny pumpkin. The girl was excited to get her Halloween Pumpkin which I can relate to but this is a quick read with not a lot of character.
A little girl named Pam is wanting to get a pumpkin for Halloween. Her parents finally take her, but they can't find a pumpkin anywhere. Finally, they find a tiny pumpkin and Pam is happy, saying that Halloween is now complete. I liked this book, it's really short, but very cute. This would work in a classroom when teaching kids how to read, it has all the words at the beginning of the book so it would be easy to review and see what they need to know before just giving them it. The words aren't too difficult, and the ones that are harder are repeated multiple times so that the kids will learn to recognize it throughout the book.
