The extreme highs and lows he experiences and the lengths to which he goes to attain them. Although a work of fiction, many readers will recognize their own feelings and emotions; the daydream of winning a lottery dances through many of our heads. However, the compulsion to win is a nightmare.

Jim Nelson is an accountant to "put beans on the table", but writing is his passion. He has a variety of books - some fiction, some photography, and some history. He also has a collection of short stories. Many of his works are set in the areas of Glenwood Springs, Marble, and Redstone in Colorado, and Tombstone in Arizona.
He has also been appointed the official Alligator Control Warden of Garfield County.
