The Cowgirls of Larkspur Valley
Book 1: Home with the Rodeo Dad Book 2: A Sweet Montana Christmas Book 3: The Cowgirl's Homecoming
Jeannie Watt lives on a small cattle ranch and hay farm in southwest Montana. When she's not writing, she enjoys making mosaic mirrors, sewing, and pretending that the house is neat and tidy.

Another in the Cowgirls of Larkspur Valley, in which Maddie Kincaid needs a break from her bridal shop business after her fiance dumps her weeks before the wedding. So she takes refuge at the guest ranch where she worked years earlier only to discover that the rodeo champ (now an ex-bronc rider) Sean Arteaga is there, too. Not good. After all, she had a crush on him in high school, but he didn't reciprocate except for one kiss back then.
Sean wants to be alone, too, while he recovers from the career-killing injuries he experienced months earlier. How can he be alone when he's tasked, along with Maddie, of taking care of the guest ranch's teen son while the parent units are on vacation in Mexico over the Christmas holidays? More to the point, can either Maddie or Sean--or both--ignore the feelings each has for the other that neither want to admit, even though Dillon, a too-smart teen, can see through what really going on between the adults, especially after Maddie learns why her ex-fiance broke up with her? Such angst in the middle of the season where Sean ends up playing Cowboy Santa for the town parade while planning to leave the ranch for schooling he's put off for years. A fun tale of stops and starts in the romance department.
Both Maddie and Sean were both hurt by ex lovers but they needed to work together with a 16 yr old high school wrestler to make Christmas great for all. Loved this book
I found myself smiling through this book. Here are two people who want nothing to do with each other and they are stuck in a small house in a blizzard. Yet, there is always that attraction that makes them purposely try to avoid one another, which is hard to do when you are in close proximity. It’s a fun and easy book to read for the season.
