Miko is a shrine maiden who has never had much success at seeing or banishing spirits. Then she meets Kagura, a sexy demon who feeds off women’s feelings of passion and love. Kagura’s insatiable appetite has left many girls at school brokenhearted, so Miko casts a spell to seal his powers. Surprisingly the spell works—sort of—but now Kagura is after
Shrine maiden Miko has sealed the powers of the sexy incubus Kagura, who has vowed to protect her. An incubus even more handsome than Kagura comes to take him to task for not using his powers on Miko. 新條まゆ in Japanese Mayu Shinjo debuted in 1994 in Shogakukan's Shōjo Comic with "Anata no Iro ni Somaritai". She continued writing for Shogakukan until 2007, with her works appearing in both Shōjo Comic and their other magazine Cheese!. She left the company to go freelance citing a dispute over working conditions and abusive treatment by her editor.
It was nice overall and there were parts in the beginning and towards the end that I thought were just precious. However...sadly as a whole, it was kinda lackluster
Well this Volume opens up from the ending of the last volume and it is great.
I really don't want to spoil anything but this is great. If you know the story of Princess Kaguya then you basically know the first part of the story (except this version includes a peach. :D) It's funny and ridiculous but I can't help but love it.
Then we meet Kagura's family! Yay! Wait? They are all Incubus and don't like that Kagura is a one-woman man now? D: Oh noes! They want to cause problems?!
Well they solve it we Miko's confession.
The ending chapter in this volume is great. I am not going to spoil that. I love it but let's just say it involves some body switching with certain characters that you don't expect.
This series keeps getting better and better. I can't want for Volume 5 to be in my hands.
The entire plot of this was beyond hilarious. Kagura was trying to finally take Miko's virginity (there's minimal nudity and stripping), but they kept getting interrupted. They find a child in a peach - that it not a typo. The child grows into a man in a day or so then has a horse drawn carriage waiting to take him back home. Miko and her father switch bodies for a couple chapters.
Avevo le palle girate di mio e ho fatto fatica a digerire questo volume!
Kagura è sempre lì che prova ad entrare nelle mutandine di Miiko, che sarebbe ben più che disposta. Ma succede di tutto e devono rimandare. E a me girano parecchio!
Si conosce il padre di Kagura, si fa un viaggetto nel regno dei demoni e si assiste ad uno scambio di corpo tra Miiko e il padre. Ed è stranamente la madre a risolvere il problema. Che è forse la scena migliore del volume.
One step forward, 3 steps back. We meet Kagura's father and brothers in this installment, and Miko ends up in a body swap with her father. That's not counting Kaguya as a baby in a peach that they raise together (in a very remarkably short span of time). There seems to be no end of trouble with this pair.

An entertaining and surprisingly adorable tale of a spiritualy "blind" miko and the Incubus who falls in love with her (and her parents who are surpisingly okay with him being around, just as long as his powers are sealed and he is in his "tiny" form).
Miko's parents (and dad in particular) are too precious for this world. This volume is full of too many hot men (is this the one where we meet Kagura's brothers?).
Yup, I finally finished this story. I mean the last 2 volumes have been lying on my bedside table since the end of October. And I finally read them after my midterms were finished. Yes, it’s the end of November while I’m writing the review. Let me start from the beginning. There are only 6 volumes, 18 chapters, however, right now there are only 14 chapters uploaded on mangafox and mangahere. But do not be discouraged as Viz media has taken it under its “wing” so if you need you can get all volumes. That’s what I did, though I only bought last 3. But let me end this boring talk and start talking about the story itself.
If you’ve been reading my blog you know that Mayu Shinjo is one of my favourite authors and I have already covered quite a lot of her works that are on my favourite list. Mostly I love her adult works, and though this one is a not in such a daring form, it still is in the adult section, or I could say in the entrance to the adult section. The story is about a young priestess who by a chance banishes the real demon, and he to take his revenge stays next to her to eat her up. Yup, this is your demon x priestess romance. But trust me it’s fun, with lots of action and you wouldn’t want to put it down. I remember I was sulking for a year to get new updates until I finally ordered the last volumes.
Miko and Kagura are awesome characters. Especially Kagura, he reminded me of Sakuya from Sensual Phrase, and in one of the chapters he really is compared to Sakuya. But we are not talking about Sakuya here; let me get beck to Kagura. He’s the demon in the flesh and that’s his incredible charm. He’s hot, I remember my friend who has no idea about manga was drooling when she saw me reading. You can never get bored with him and with mini Kagura. And the real fun is in the last 2 volumes, as the relationship between Miko and Kagura finally reach that point. Are you sure you want to miss this fun ride? Well, this story is all yours! And you’ll love how it all ends!
Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!
I have no idea what happened in this volume. The first half was cute kinda cheeky. Loving the arguements between the two main characters. But the second half. WTF happend.
I don't care if you wanna have sex or not. But what I hate is when you're peer pressured into doing it or not and making it sound so life fulfilling and pure. That is what exactly happened in the second half. So what if Miko hasn't had sex don't make her feel awful and her life is a pure lackluster jewel becasue of it. Miko clearly doesn't want to have sex and sure as hell not ready. so stop making a fucking big deal out of it.
Miko isn't at all blameless either making a complete outburst that the mousy introvert has had sex before her and is in complete flabber gasted shock, like come on stereorotyping much.
Come on people we need to stop with the peer pressure, the shaming and hush hush about sex. We ned to just get over it already. There are a lot better things to gossip about.
The art of the manga is really pretty. It's a pleasure to see the banter between Miko and Kagura. And chibi-Kagura is really adorable. It has funny moments as well as actions fighting demons. I like that Kagura needs to touch girls to survive. I really like the characters and the storyline.
I find the last volume confusing though, especially the end, I find it rushed and a 7th volume would have been welcome. I was expecting a wedding with Kagura's demon family on one side, and Miko's exorcist family on the other, and I think the tension between both groups would have been funny to show. But instead after Miko and Kagura get back together, I was sure her father had put Kagura in his chibi form again. I had to reread that part a few times to realize it was not Kagura's chibi form, but Kagura's and Miko's son. It does not say if they got married after all, it also does not say if their child is a human or a demon either.

You gotta hand it to Miko's father. Any boyfriend would love having her father's permission to take her along with him to a hot springs for a personal vacation. So, Kagura was over the moon about a chance to have sex with Miko, but it didn't happen. Enter Kagura's father to tell Kagura that he feels his son is less of a man, since he is not having sex with the woman he brought to the hot springs. But, regardless, Kagura and Miko have other plans....they intend to become husband and wife. And, I actually hope they do. But, with mysterious children that think they are its' parents, and weird body-switching going on, how long till this marriage can become a reality? ---------------------- This volume was provided to me as an eManga by VIZ Media, via Edelweiss, is exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed here are my own.
It's a of missed connections in this volume. Miko has started to fully trust Kagura in his helping her with demons and having a relationship. But she is tentative at times about taking it to the next level. Even Kagura is uncertain at times if it's right to choose lust or love with her. He makes some important decisions though when confronting his incubus family about Miko. As does Miko's father see what is transpiring. Both as a priest and father, he's determined to thwart the paranormal couple now more then ever. I just wonder if they can learn to trust each other, and make it work. I'll have to find out in the next volume.

This volume had a lot of unexpected surprises as well as several new characters. We also get to meet some of Kagura's family in this volume. I am really looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Contains Chapters 10 - 15 Chapter 10: The Chapter of the Pounding Hearts ♥ Hot Springs Inn Chapter 11: The Chapter of the Child Management Diary Chapter 12: The Chapter of an Older Man's Allure ♥ Part 1 Chapter 13: The Chapter of an Older Man's Allure ♥ Part 2 Chapter 14: The Chapter of a Night for Two Part 1 Chapter 15: The Chapter of a Night for Two Part 2 Bonus Chapter: A Day in the Life of Kagura
I love this one. I love the japanese folklore that was depicted in the second chapter. Do you know the story of Princess Kaguya?
Its one of my favorite stories of a girl who was born from Bamboo and then raised as a princess. Finally she is taken to the moon to fill her rightful place as a moon Princess.
The second chapter speaks of a beautiful boy born from a peach. I highly suggest you check out this edition for this reason alone. You'll love it.
I do like the daughter switching bodies with her dad in the last chapter. Hilarious!
I almost forgot we go to the demon world and meet Kagura's Brothers and Father. Miko finally surrenders to her feelings!
This was really great! Haha, very entertaining and humorous too! I really love reading this series. It was nice that there was more of a background story to Kagura in this one. Where he came from, and meeting his family!
I love how Mayu Shinjo implemented the legend of Kaguya into this story. I really liked that. It was ridiculously funny seeing Kagura "mother" the baby too! The story was really great, I highly enjoyed reading this volume, it definitely left me squealing in joy at certain parts! Loved the bonus story in here also, made me laugh!
