Saving Micah

Rate this book
When Micah Beaumont left Chicago for New Orleans, no longer comfortable as a third wheel in his ménage relationship with Mistress Olivia and her sub, Jude, he used his promotion as the excuse to leave. He fled not wanting his Mistress nor Jude to know the real reason. Mistress Olivia had made it clear from the beginning he was nothing more than a play sub. At first he’d been fine with the idea but after watching his Mistress fall in love with Jude, he realized wants to be collared by Olivia too, but knows it will never happen she had Jude.

Three months later, he’s settled into his new life in New Orleans. At the height of Mardi Gras, in desperation, he goes home with the wrong Domme in an attempt to forget. The next morning finds him tossed out of car at the entrance to a local hospital barely breathing. When he awakens in the hospital, he’s horrified to find both his former Mistress and friend at his bedside. His horror turns into misplaced anger when Olivia calmly announces that its time to come home. How can he return when he’s not sure if he can ever submit to her again and if he does how does he go back to being nothing more than their third?

Hello, and welcome to my site. I'm Dakota, an author of erotic romance (think 50 Shades of Gray - but better) and paranormal erotica. And what exactly does that mean? Well, since I've always marched to the beat of different drum: it means that I get to take my unique life experiences - like putting around in the garage with my dad, or driving a train when I was ten, to create worlds where the heroines aren't necessarily June Clever, but are strong independent women who may stand on their own two feet, but long to submit to the right man. Whether it's two friends who realize there is more than friendship between them or the sexy alien who captures his unwilling slave's heart, sparks fly between them. My imagination has no bounds or at least none I've found yet!

Powerful story but in terms of action and emotion. A good lesson in being honest about your feelings because misunderstandings can cause huge problems. Great addition to the Doms of Chicago series and a wonderful sequel to Conquering Jude. It is great to see tough, protective men still able to give into their need to submit without diminishing their manliness at all.

Like I indicated in my review for "Conquering Jude", I did not believe this menage could be a success, and this book confirmed that for me. The whole book I could not understand why Olivia and Jude were fighting so hard to get Micah in their relationship, I did not believe in their good intentions.

I still did not believe Olivia loved Micah just as much as Jude, Micah was her sub a long time before Jude, but because she got Jude she magically also started to love Micah? No, I don't believe it.

And what did Jude get out of sharing his mistress? I tried to understand this the whole book, and I did not get an answer. He does not love men, and he just sees Micah as a good friend because Micah helped him to accept his submissive side, but why does that mean Jude wants to share his woman with him, if he just sees Micah as his friend? I have to honestly say that I almost never believe in M/F/M, just in M/M/F, so maybe this is that part of me speaking now.

And poor Micah, I understood all of his doubts, and I really don't understand why he believed Olivia and Jude. I think he deserved a mistress who really loved him.

This was a good read it had me on the edge of my seat. I wanted to yell and Micah and cry for hi at the same time. Mistress Olivia & Jude go through the wringer trying to prove to Micah that they love him and want him to be together with them. And have to convince him to return to Chicago. Intense story all the way to the end.
