Sam is trying to figure out if he should stay in college, looking for a new job working on the school paper and trying to pay off the credit card he got. Their dad is back in the picture and things are tense.
The final book in the Heather Creek series and I just loved it. I will really miss all of the family and friends I made at Heather Creek farm. This series is 24 books long and I think it was just right. We went through the children first coming to Heather Creek after their mother died. Their father left them years before that. During these books we saw Sam, Emily and Christopher grow up and take on the life and responsibilities of farm life. We also saw how Pete grew up and takes over the farm. Just plain life experiences for each and everyone of the Heather Creek family and friends. I truly am glad I read these books. They belong to my mom and I would love to have them myself. Fantastic books that you will truly love.
This is the last book in the series. I must say that I am a little disappointed with the ending. I was hoping for maybe an epilogue. I would have liked to known what the future holds for this family. Did Guideposts drop this series before it could be could be ended satisfactory? We will never know.
Overall the book was a good story, and would have gotten four stars, but since this was the last book of the series I really think it should have tied up a lot more loose strings. I really did not feel any sense of closure with this book.
This is a another fun wholesome story in the lives of Charlotte and her family. I skipped over 20 of the books and jumped to the end and still they had only lived 2.5 years of their lives in 24 novels. I wish the book had gone deeper and had tied up many loose ends, but it did not. Sure it is a fun easy read that leaves you wanting the simple country life, but it doesn't move you in any way.
Another great book in the series. Sadly, this is the last book. It's going to be hard to find something similar to read next. I wish the series would go on.
So sad to see this series end. Seems to me they leave you hanging. Sam, Emily and Christopher haven't finished growing up. What about Pete and Dana's new baby? Oh, well...
This series is an easy read as well as a fun series. I enjoyed following the characters through a few years of their lives. Their faith in God and the realization of the grandchildren that they too could trust in God was heart warming. I would recommend this series for children as well as adults.
