Yolana get pregnant when she is seventeen. Her lover’s family is Italian and is completely driven mad by the fact that Yolana had a child out of wedlock. Yolana eventually gives in to the pressure to marry her boyfriend. They go through many rough times, and never have any money. Yolana, young and feeling trapped in an unhappy life, cheats on her husband with a rich older man and leaves her shabby life behind. Her new boyfriend dies two weeks later. Yolana becomes homeless with her two children, and her ex-husband won’t take her or her kids back. One day on her way to work, while homeless with two job, Yolana passes by a mystic shop and looks in the window. A man from behind the counter tells her to go inside. She looks around at the beautiful jewelry, and finds a gorgeous gigantic dark blue stone with elaborate silver detailed ring. “Yolana,” the man says, “she’s been waiting for you for a long time.” She talks to the man and says he’s crazy, that she could never afford any jewelry like that. The man tells her that she should put the ring on, and he says that she can have it. That’s when her life as a psychicbegins. Yolana find another new man, this man will stick with her for the rest of her life. He is always in and out of jail because of his mental health problems. Every time Yolana’s new man is around he always seems to drag her down with him.
Yolana starts a new life. She quits her other jobs and starts reading the future and past for people. She does this in her house that she was able to buy from her new job. She also gets an assistant. The more she does her predictions the more people keep coming to her. Soon she is advising famous and wealthy peoplefrom all over America. Yolana and her assistant become very close. In one incident Yolana warns her assistant that something bad is going to happen if they drive back from a reading party. They decide to take a cab because in Yolana’s prediction she see’s a blue car hitting another, and Yolana’s car that they drove to the party was blue. I guess it was unavoidable, because a blue car hit there cab head on when they were on the interstate. Both Yolana and assistant were unharmed. That made Yolana and her assistant even closer. Yolana’s children started to resent her for acting so close to her assistant, while they were there with their mom through all the hard times.
